The mol­ecule of the title compound, C₁₅H₁₃N₃O₄, adopts an E configuration with respect to the C=N bond. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 6.0 (3)°. In the crystal, mol­ecules are linked through inter­molecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form chains along the c axis.

In the title compound, C(14)H(9)Cl(2)N(3)O(4)·CH(4)O, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings in the hydrazone mol-ecule is 6.3 (3)°. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond stabilizes the mol-ecular conformation. In the crystal, centrosymmetrically related mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

An intra­molecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bond stabilizes the mol­ecular conformation. In the crystal, mol­ecules are linked via inter­molecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the a axis.
