In the title salt, [Cd(C₆H₁₅NO₃)₂](C₈H₄O₄), the Cd²⁺ cation is coordinated by six O atoms and two N atoms from two tetra­dentate 2-[bis­(2-hy­droxy­eth­yl)amino]­ethanol ligands, displaying a distorted square-anti­prismatic coordination. The terephthalate dianion does not coordinate to the cation but is connected through O⋯H—O hydrogen bonds of medium strength to the complex cations, leading to a layered structure extending parallel to (100).
