Anti-Synchronization of Delayed State-Based Switched Inertial Neural Networks

This article addresses the synchronization issue for inertial neural networks (INNs) with heterogeneous time-varying delays and unbounded distributed delays, in which the state quantization is considered. First, by fully considering the delay and sampling time point information, a modified looped-functional is proposed for the synchronization error system. Compared with the existing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF), the proposed functional contains the sawtooth structure term V8(t) and the time-varying terms ex(t-βħ (t)) and ey(t-βħ (t)) . Then, the obtained constraints may be further relaxed. Based on the functional and integral inequality, less conservative synchronization criteria are derived as the basis of controller design. In addition, the required quantized sampled-data controller is proposed by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, two numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed scheme in this article.

Bounded Antisynchronization of Multiple Neural Networks via Multilevel Hybrid Control

The bounded antisynchronization (AS) problem of multiple discrete-time neural networks (NNs) based on the fuzzy model is studied, in consideration of the differences in quantity and communication among different NN groups, the variabilities of dynamics, and communication topological affected by environments. To reduce the energy consumption of communication, a cluster pinning communication mechanism is proposed, and an impulsive observer is designed to estimate the state of target NN. Then, a multilevel hybrid controller based on the impulsive observer is built including the AS controller and the bounded synchronization (BS) controller. Sufficient conditions for bounded AS are obtained by analyzing the stability of the BS augmented error (BSAE) and the AS augmented error (ASAE) based on the fuzzy-based Lyapunov functional (FBLF). Finally, a numerical example and an application example are given to verify the validity of the obtained results.

Novel results on finite-time stabilization of state-based switched chaotic inertial neural networks with distributed delays

The p-norm finite-time stabilization (FTS) issue of a class of state-based switched inertial chaotic neural networks (SBSCINNs) with distributed time-varying delays is investigated. By using a suitable variable transformation, such second-order SBSCINNs are turned into the first-order differential equations. Then some novel criteria are obtained to stabilize SBSCINNs in a finite time based on the theory of finite-time control and non-smooth analysis together with designing two proper delay-dependent feedback controllers. Besides, the settling time of FTS is also estimated and discussed. Finally, the validity and practicability of the deduced theoretical results are verified by examples and applications.
