DeepFake is a forged image or video created using deep learning techniques. The present fake content of the detection technique can detect trivial images such as barefaced fake faces. Moreover, the capability of current methods to detect fake faces is minimal. Many recent types of research have made the fake detection algorithm from rule-based to machine-learning models. However, the emergence of deep learning technology with intelligent improvement motivates this specified research to use deep learning techniques. Thus, it is proposed to have VIOLA Jones's (VJ) algorithm for selecting the best features with Capsule Graph Neural Network (CN). The graph neural network is improved by capsule-based node feature extraction to improve the results of the graph neural network. The experiment is evaluated with CelebDF-FaceForencics++ (c23) datasets, which combines FaceForencies++ (c23) and Celeb-DF. In the end, it is proved that the accuracy of the proposed model has achieved 94.

SS-CPGAN: Self-Supervised Cut-and-Pasting Generative Adversarial Network for Object Segmentation

This paper proposes a novel self-supervised based Cut-and-Paste GAN to perform foreground object segmentation and generate realistic composite images without manual annotations. We accomplish this goal by a simple yet effective self-supervised approach coupled with the U-Net discriminator. The proposed method extends the ability of the standard discriminators to learn not only the global data representations via classification (real/fake) but also learn semantic and structural information through pseudo labels created using the self-supervised task. The proposed method empowers the generator to create meaningful masks by forcing it to learn informative per-pixel and global image feedback from the discriminator. Our experiments demonstrate that our proposed method significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods on the standard benchmark datasets.

Optimizing machine learning algorithms for spatial prediction of gully erosion susceptibility with four training scenarios

Gully erosion causes high soil erosion rates and is an environmental concern posing major risk to the sustainability of cultivated areas of the world. Gullies modify the land, shape new landforms, and damage agricultural fields. Gully erosion mapping is essential to understand the mechanism, development, and evolution of gullies. In this work, a new modeling approach was employed for gully erosion susceptibility mapping (GESM) in the Golestan Dam basin of Iran. The measurements of 14 gully erosion (GE) factors at 1042 GE locations were compiled in a spatial database. Four training datasets comprised of 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25% of the entire database were used for modeling and validation (for each data set in the common 70:30 ratio). Four machine learning models-maximum entropy (MaxEnt), general linear model (GLM), support vector machine (SVM), and artificial neural network (ANN)- were employed to check the usefulness of the four training scenarios. The results of random forest (RF) analysis indicated that the most important GE effective factors were distance from the stream, elevation, distance from the road, and vertical distance of the channel network (VDCN). The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) was used to validate the results. Our study showed that the sample size influenced the performance of the four machine learning algorithms. However, the ANN had a lower sensitivity to the reduction of sample size. In addition, validation results revealed that ANN (AUROC = 0.85.7-0.90.4%) had the best performance based on all four sample data sets. The results of this research can be useful and valuable guidelines for choosing machine learning methods when a complete gully inventory is not available in a region.

Multi-Dataset Hyper-CNN for Hyperspectral Image Segmentation of Remote Sensing Images

This research paper presents novel condensed CNN architecture for the recognition of multispectral images, which has been developed to address the lack of attention paid to neural network designs for multispectral and hyperspectral photography in comparison to RGB photographs. The proposed architecture is able to recognize 10-band multispectral images and has fewer parameters than popular deep designs, such as ResNet and DenseNet, thanks to recent advancements in more efficient smaller CNNs. The proposed architecture is trained from scratch, and it outperforms a comparable network that was trained on RGB images in terms of accuracy and efficiency. The study also demonstrates the use of a Bayesian variant of CNN architecture to show that a network able to process multispectral information greatly reduces the uncertainty associated with class predictions in comparison to standard RGB images. The results of the study are demonstrated by comparing the accuracy of the network’s predictions to the images.

HyproBert: A Fake News Detection Model Based on Deep Hypercontext

News media agencies are known to publish misinformation, disinformation, and propaganda for the sake of money, higher news propagation, political influence, or other unfair reasons. The exponential increase in the use of social media has also contributed to the frequent spread of fake news. This study extends the concept of symmetry into deep learning approaches for advanced natural language processing, thereby improving the identification of fake news and propaganda. A hybrid HyproBert model for automatic fake news detection is proposed in this paper. To begin, the proposed HyproBert model uses DistilBERT for tokenization and word embeddings. The embeddings are provided as input to the convolution layer to highlight and extract the spatial features. Subsequently, the output is provided to BiGRU to extract the contextual features. The CapsNet, along with the self-attention layer, proceeds to the output of BiGRU to model the hierarchy relationship among the spatial features. Finally, a dense layer is implemented to combine all the features for classification. The proposed HyproBert model is evaluated using two fake news datasets (ISOT and FA-KES). As a result, HyproBert achieved a higher performance compared to other baseline and state-of-the-art models.

Movie Reviews Classification through Facial Image Recognition and Emotion Detection Using Machine Learning Methods

The critical component of HCI is face recognition technology. Emotional computing heavily relies on the identification of facial emotions. Applications for emotion-driven face animation and dynamic assessment are numerous (FER). Universities have started to support real-world face expression recognition research as a result. Short video clips are continually uploaded and shared online, building up a library of videos on various topics. The enormous amount of movie data appeals to system engineers and researchers of autonomous emotion mining and sentiment analysis. The main idea is that categorizing things may be done by looking at how individuals feel about specific issues. People might choose to have a basic or complex facial appearance. People worldwide continually express their feelings through their faces, whether they are happy, sad, or uncertain. An online user can visually express themselves through a video’s editing, music, and subtitles. Additionally, before the video data can be used, noise in the data must frequently be eliminated. Automatically figuring out how someone feels in a video is a challenging task that will only get harder over time. Therefore, this paper aims to show how facial recognition video analysis can be used to show how sentiment analysis can help with business growth and essential decision-making. To determine how people are affected by reviewers’ writing, we use a technique for deciding emotions in this analysis. The feelings in movies are assessed using machine learning algorithms to categorize them. A lightweight machine learning algorithm is proposed to help in Aspect-oriented emotion classification for movie reviews. Moreover, to analyze real and published datasets, experimental results are compared with different Machine Learning algorithms, i.e., Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, and CNN. The proposed approach obtained 84.72 accuracy and 79.24 sensitivity. Furthermore, the method has a specificity of 90.64 and a precision of 90.2. Thus, the proposed method significantly increases the accuracy and sensitivity of the emotion detection system from facial feature recognition. Our proposed algorithm has shown contribution to detect datasets of different emotions with symmetric characteristics and symmetrically-designed facial image recognition tasks.
