Abstract
The Big Five personality traits-neuroticism, extroversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness-represent continuous, individual features that affect a number of vital health aspects, including morbidity, self-reported health status, or lifestyle. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between the eating behaviors and engagement in physical activity of women with a hereditary predisposition to breast or ovarian cancer and the Big Five personality traits. A total of 357 women, participants of 'The National Program for Families With Genetic/Familial High Risk for Cancer', were included in the study. In the healthy group, the following statistically significant predictors were found in variables: agreeableness-meal frequency (β = 0.151; p = 0.030); neuroticism-consumption of fruits and vegetables (β = -0.177; p = 0.016) and cereal products (β = -0.223; p = 0.002); openness to experience-consumption of plant-based fats (β = 0.141; p = 0.034) and physical activity (β = 0.153; p = 0.021). In the cancer group, the frequency of dairy consumption (β = 0.286; p = 0.003) and physical activity (β = 0.370; p = 0.000) were found to be statistically significant predictors for the openness to experience variable. Neuroticism is associated with less frequent consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as cereal products. Openness to experience was more often linked with a higher frequency of dairy consumption, plant-based fats, and physical activity. Women with breast or ovarian cancer and a higher openness to experience consumed dairy and engaged in physical activity more often than their peers with the remaining personality traits.

Abstract
This study examines both the effect of a twice-weekly combined exercise-1 h session of strength and 1 h session of impact-aerobic-on body composition and dietary habits after one year of treatment with aromatase inhibitors (AI) in breast cancer survivors. Overall, forty-three postmenopausal women with a BMI ≤ 35 kg/m2, breast cancer survivors treated with AI, were randomized into two groups: a control group (CG) (n = 22) and a training group (IG) (n = 21). Body composition, i.e., abdominal, visceral, and subcutaneous adipose tissue) was measured by magnetic resonance. In addition, some questionnaires were used to gather dietary data and to measure adherence to the Mediterranean diet. After one year, women in the IG showed a significant improvement in body composition, indicated by decreases in subcutaneous and visceral adipose tissue, and total fat tissue. Furthermore, the dietary habits were compatible with moderate adherence to the Mediterranean diet pattern and a low dietary intake of Ca, Zn, Folic Ac, and vitamins D, A, and E. A twice-weekly training program combining impact aerobic exercise and resistance exercise may be effective in improving the body composition for postmenopausal women who have breast cancer treated with AI, and the results suggest the need for nutritional counselling for this population.

Abstract
Context: Lifestyle modifications consist of three components including diet, exercise, and cognitive-behavioral therapy which can reduce side effects of breast cancer. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is a complementary strategy that promotes new skills for any treatment. Published trials have investigated the co-efficacies of the two or three components of lifestyle modifications, especially dietary and cognitive-behavioral interventions in breast cancer survivors. Evidence Acquisition: This protocol is about a meta-analysis which will systematically report the simultaneous effects of dietary intervention or physical activity with cognitive-behavioral therapy, or three of them on quality of life, the recurrence levels and anthropometric measurements among patients with breast cancer and survivors. It was prepared in accordance with the PRISMA-P checklist and will be performed in accordance with the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic reviews of intervention. Cochrane Central Register of Controlled trials, PubMed, EMBASE and ISI web of science will be searched for peer-reviewed literature using defined MeSH terms. Included randomized controlled trials on the combination effects of cognitive-behavioral therapy with either dietary or physical interventions will be assessed. Continuous data will be meta-analyzed using the STATA and will be gathered using random-effects models. The effect size will be reported as standardized mean difference with 95%CIs. Heterogeneity assessment, publication bias, and sensitivity analysis will be performed. The heterogeneity between some trials may be a limitation of this study. Conclusions: This meta-analysis will provide beneficial guidance for healthcare providers and family members to improve the current understanding of the role of lifestyle modification on alleviating the important problems of patients with breast cancer.

Abstract
PURPOSE Healthy lifestyle adoption among breast cancer (BC) survivors remains a poorly understood process. This study aimed to qualitatively examine the unique change trajectories of BC survivors who partook in a pilot version of the Healthy Lifestyle Modification After Breast Cancer (HLM-ABC) intervention. METHODS A sample of four BC survivors were studied intensively through longitudinal interviews conducted at four time points with each participant: (1) pre-treatment, (2) mid-way treatment, (3) post-treatment, and (4) three-months following their participation in the HLM-ABC. A multiple-case study, narrative analysis was applied to 15 interviews, resulting in individual narratives as well as shared 'thematic intersections' elucidating cross-participant experiences. RESULTS The findings showed that participants offered unique styles of authorship, characterized by diverse struggles, victories, and motivational insights, organized around the following intersecting themes: (1)Weight management prescription as a motivator or deterrent, (2) 'Time for me' is time away from my family, and (3) Patterns of opposition to lifestyle change. These women's rich, storied accounts suggest experiences of personal growth and imply that existential concerns can be both motivating and deterring in relation to health behavior change. CONCLUSION This research provides a comprehensive and nuanced grasp of healthy lifestyle modification in the survivorship stage of BC.

Abstract
Nurses are in a unique position to provide nutritional advice and information to women with breast cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy, supporting them with making decisions regarding nutrition and diet. This narrative review evaluated the research evidence relating to the nutritional challenges experienced during chemotherapy and the most effective approaches for supporting women in dietary choice. Weight gain was identified as a specific problem for women undergoing chemotherapy. The evidence indicated that information about nutrition and food preparation support may go some way in assisting women to overcome some of the nutrition-related difficulties experienced during chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer. However, further research is required to better inform person-centred nursing practice in this area.

Abstract
PURPOSE Weight gain is common but poorly understood in women receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer. Overweight and obesity are associated with other co-morbidities, reduced self-esteem and an increased risk of cancer recurrence. The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences, dietary information and support needs of women who gain weight during chemotherapy treatment. METHODS This study used a qualitative approach to explore the experiences of women from three Melbourne breast cancer clinics. Those who gained weight during the period of enrolment in a cohort study of chemotherapy-related taste changes were invited to participate in this qualitative interview study. Eligibility for inclusion was a gain in body weight between the commencement of chemotherapy and 2 months after its completion. Semi-structured interviews explored changes in diet, physical activity patterns, weight changes, dietary information and support needs and sources. Thematic analysis of the interview data was performed. RESULTS Seventeen women were interviewed. Three key themes emerged from the following data: (i) undesirable impacts of cancer treatment on diet and physical activity, (ii) surprise and concern associated with changes to weight and diet and (iii) insufficient dietary information and support. CONCLUSIONS This study has described the practical and informational dietary support needs of women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer and reasons for dietary change. There may be gaps in information and support provision after diagnosis in the areas of weight management, nutrition-related side effects of chemotherapy and healthy eating. Models of dietetic practice and the provision of tailored dietary information should be explored.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Therapy-induced mucositis and dysphagia puts head and neck (H&N) cancer patients at increased risk for developing cachexia. Omega-3 fatty acids (n-3 FA) have been suggested to protect against cachexia. We aimed to examine if echium oil, a plant source of n-3 FA, could reduce weight loss in H&N cancer patients undergoing radio(chemo)therapy with curative intent. METHODS In a double-blind trial, patients were randomly assigned to echium oil (intervention (I) group; 7.5 ml bis in die (b.i.d.), 235 mg/ml α-linolenic acid (ALA) + 95 mg/ml stearidonic acid (SDA) + 79 mg/ml γ-linolenic acid (GLA)) or n-3 FA deficient sunflower oil high oleic (control (C) group; 7.5 ml b.i.d.) additional to standard nutritional support during treatment. Differences in percentage weight loss between both groups were analysed according to the intention-to-treat principle. Erythrocyte FA profile, body composition, nutritional status and quality of life were collected. RESULTS Ninety-one eligible patients were randomised, of whom 83 were evaluable. Dietary supplement adherence was comparable in both groups (median, I: 87%, C: 81%). At week 4, the I group showed significantly increased values of erythrocyte n-3 eicosapentanoic acid (EPA, 14% vs -5%) and n-6 GLA (42% vs -20%) compared to the C group, without a significant change in n-6 arachidonic acid (AA, 2% vs -1%). Intention-to-treat analysis could not reveal a significant reduction in weight loss related to echium oil consumption (median weight loss, I: 8.9%, C: 7.6%). Also, no significant improvement was observed in the other evaluated anthropometric parameters. CONCLUSIONS Echium oil effectively increased erythrocyte EPA and GLA FAs in H&N cancer patients. It failed however to protect against weight loss, or improve nutritional parameters. TRIAL REGISTRATION ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier NCT01596933.

Abstract
Little is known about the contribution of diet components independent of body composition to persistent fatigue in breast cancer survivors. Therefore, our study aim was to determine the associations among dietary intake and fatigue in relation to and independent of adiposity and physical activity (PA) in breast cancer survivors. Baseline data from 42 breast cancer survivors enrolled in a randomised exercise trial were analysed: fatigue (Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy for fatigue), diet components (3-day diet record), body mass index, per cent body fat (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) and PA (accelerometer). The mean age was 54 ± 9 years with an average body mass index of 30.5 ± 8.1 kg/m(2). Fatigue was positively associated with % of kcal/day fat intake (r = 0.31, P < 0.05) and inversely related to fibre g/day (r = 0.38, P < 0.05) and carbohydrate g/day intake (r = 0.31, P < 0.05). Mean fatigue was greater for participants eating <25 g/day of fibre compared with >25 g/day of fibre (15.7 ± 10.8 versus 6.4 ± 3.7, P < 0.005). No significant associations were noted between fatigue and PA or body composition. Diets high in fibre and low in fat are associated with reduced fatigue in breast cancer survivors. The difference in fatigue for low- versus high-fibre diets exceeded the minimal clinically important difference of three units. Prospective studies evaluating the effect of changing diet on fatigue in breast cancer survivors are warranted.
