Benign multilocular cyst or multilocular cystic nephroma in adults: three case reports

Multilocular cystic nephroma is an unusual entity of uncertain etiology that typically arises from the renal parenchyma. We report three such cases in adult females, in their fourth and fifth decades. Since existing imaging modalities cannot definitely exclude the possibility of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma these patients should undergo surgery.

Multiloculated renal cell carcinoma

Multiloculated renal cell carcinoma and multilocular renal cyst with renal cell carcinoma are uncommon diseases. We report on 2 cases of multiloculated renal cell carcinoma. To our knowledge 16 cases of multiloculated renal cell carcinoma and multilocular renal cyst with renal cell carcinoma have been previously described in detail. The authors review the literature and discuss the aetiology and diagnosis of the disease.

Multilocular cystic renal adenocarcinoma: a case report and review of the literature

A case of multilocular cystic renal adenocarcinoma is presented. Although the multilocular renal cyst is an uncommon lesion, nine cases of these lesions associated with adenocarcinoma have been reported in the English literature so far. The related reports are reviewed in addition to three cases in the Japanese literature.
