Abstract
BACKGROUND This study assessed the consistency and accuracy of responses provided by two artificial intelligence (AI) applications, ChatGPT and Google Bard (Gemini), to questions related to dental trauma. MATERIALS AND METHODS Based on the International Association of Dental Traumatology guidelines, 25 dichotomous (yes/no) questions were posed to ChatGPT and Google Bard over 10 days. The responses were recorded and compared with the correct answers. Statistical analyses, including Fleiss kappa, were conducted to determine the agreement and consistency of the responses. RESULTS Analysis of 4500 responses revealed that both applications provided correct answers to 57.5% of the questions. Google Bard demonstrated a moderate level of agreement, with varying rates of incorrect answers and referrals to physicians. CONCLUSIONS Although ChatGPT and Google Bard are potential knowledge resources, their consistency and accuracy in responding to dental trauma queries remain limited. Further research involving specially trained AI models in endodontics is warranted to assess their suitability for clinical use.

Abstract
The consequences of traumatic dental injuries can be even more serious when their emergency management procedures are inadequate. Since traumatic accidents frequently occur at school, it is crucial that teachers be knowledgeable enough to assist an injured child. This study aimed to assess the knowledge and attitudes of the elementary school teachers of a Brazilian city toward dental trauma in permanent teeth, and its emergency practices. A combination of convenience and snowball sampling methods was used. An online questionnaire was distributed through social media, consisting of three parts: demographic characteristics and professional information; previous experiences and attitudes toward dental trauma; teachers' knowledge of this subject. Descriptive and statistical analyses were carried out. Pearson chi-squared test (p < 0.05) was used. A total of 217 teachers participated in the study. The power of the sample was 95%. Half of the teachers had already witnessed a dental trauma incident involving students, and 70.5% never received any information on the subject. The teachers who were provided previous information were the ones who opted to search for the tooth fragment (p=0.036) in cases of crown fracture, and for the lost tooth (p = 0.025) in cases of avulsion. They were also the ones who chose to wash the tooth in running water (p = 0.018), and look for a dentist in the first 30 or 60 minutes after the trauma (p = 0.026). Most of the teachers assessed did not have adequate knowledge of dental trauma. Having previous information was associated with more assertive practices in trauma management.

Abstract
Objectives Dental trauma among children is a common problem, and everyone who works with them needs to possess appropriate knowledge and skills to provide proper care at the site of the accident. The aim was to evaluate the knowledge of emergency management of dental trauma among students who should be capable of managing such injuries in their future career. Materials and Methods A cross-sectional survey regarding dental trauma emergency management was conducted on 679 students from five different studies using a questionnaire. The obtained data were analyzed by the Student t-test or one - way ANOVAusing the Tukey's post-hoc test and multiple linear regression analysis (p<0.05). Results The total knowledge score regarding the emergency management of dental trauma among examined student was 4.32±2.25 (max 10). The positive association of the knowledge score was observed with the age of student (β=0.722, p≤0.001). A similar relation was observed depending on whether they received dental injuries training during their academic education (β=2.365, p≤0.001), as well as students’ assessment of the importance of knowledge regarding dental trauma emergency management (β=0.433, p≤0.001). Conclusions It can be concluded that the surveyed students have limited knowledge regarding dental injuries and their emergency management procedures. The obtained data emphasized the importance of additional education of all professions that may encounter dental trauma injuries to improve the outcomes of dental trauma treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/AIM The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge of school professionals regarding the emergency management of dental avulsion. METHODS This cross-sectional study utilised a self-administered, pilot-tested questionnaire for school staff from primary schools. Descriptive statistics were used for the analysis - the prevalence and univariate associations between a categorical outcome and the variables under consideration, were evaluated using Pearson's Chi-squared test. RESULTS This survey yielded a response rate of 43.5% (n = 313). Approximately 60% of participants held valid first-aid certificates and 23% had received avulsion advice previously. Over 80% of participants expressed an unwillingness to replant an avulsed tooth, and over 90% believed that there should be greater awareness in this area. This unwillingness to replant was influenced by respondents' age (x2 = 8.13 df = 3, P = 0.043) and receiving advice previously (x2 = 13.15, df = 1, P < 0.001). Under-preparedness was related to years of experience (x2 = 15.03, df = 5, P = 0.010), first-aid training (x2 = 6.41, df = 1, P = 0.011) and receiving advice previously (x2 = 43.47, df = 1, P < 0.001). It was also evident that first-aid training positively influenced appropriate dental referral in the management pathway (x2 = 10.49, df = 1, P = 0.001). CONCLUSION This study suggests that there is an inadequate level of knowledge on the appropriate management of dental avulsion injuries amongst primary school professionals in Australia.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/AIM School teachers can play an important role in improving the prognosis of traumatized teeth of school children through immediate onsite management or on time referral to healthcare providers. In Greece where the research in the field of dental traumatology is very limited, this issue is of utmost importance. The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge level of Greek primary school teachers and their attitude with regard to emergency first-aid management of traumatic dental injuries (TDI) occurring in schools. MATERIAL AND METHODS A cross-sectional descriptive study among 276 school teachers was undertaken in Athens, Greece. This was done through a two-part questionnaire-based survey including demographic characteristics, attitude, and knowledge of first-aid management of TDI. Data were analyzed using non-parametric tests for differences. Log Poisson regression analysis was used to estimate relative risks of low or high knowledge of first-aid management. RESULTS The risk of lower knowledge score was almost double in teachers with <10 years of teaching experience and almost threefold higher in those reporting that they are not interested in being informed about dental trauma. In the case of luxation injury, 69.9% of the participants would not take any immediate action and would refer the child to a dentist. In case of permanent tooth avulsion, 52.2% knew that the tooth can be replanted in the socket, whereas only 17% believed that this should be performed within 30 minutes. Most of the participants would send the child to their own/family dentist, whereas only 4.7% would refer to an Endodontist. CONCLUSION The knowledge of primary school teachers in Greece about first-aid management of TDI is limited. However, a clear positive association was found between knowledge of first-aid management and teaching experience. Reliable information about dental trauma may result in improving the knowledge level of Greek primary school teachers.

Abstract
Introduction In this cross-sectional study, the level of knowledge and attitude of elementary school teachers regarding traumatic dental injuries (TDI) were assessed. Materials and Methods A questionnaire was distributed to 330 elementary school teachers in 30 randomly selected schools in the Emirates of Sharjah and Dubai. The questionnaire collected information on participants' demographic characteristics, first aid training, and attitude about emergency management of TDI. Results 292 teachers (88%) completed the questionnaires; of these, 95% were females, and 50% of the participants had first aid training. Knowledge about tooth avulsion was inadequate, and first aid training was not associated with correct responses to management of avulsed teeth (p > 0.05). A significantly higher percentage of younger teachers (p < 0.05) expressed the need for future education on TDI management. A significantly higher percentage of participants who had an educational position (95%) indicated that they did not have enough knowledge regarding TDI compared to physical education teachers (79%) and administrators (87%) (p < 0.05). Conclusions Elementary school teachers in the UAE have a low level of knowledge regarding the management of dental trauma. Educational programs that address TDI are needed and could improve the elementary school teachers' level of knowledge in emergency management of TDI.

Abstract
AIM Traumatic dental injuries frequently occur in society and may occur at home. The ultimate prognosis of an avulsed tooth occurring in a child may depend on the parents' knowledge of appropriate emergency measures. This study is aimed at evaluating the awareness level of a sample of Indian (Rohtak, Haryana) parents in the management of dental trauma. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 1500 parents were surveyed using a self-administered structured questionnaire. The questionnaire was divided into three parts. The tabulated data were statistically analyzed using the Chi-square test. RESULT This study indicated a low level of knowledge regarding tooth avulsion and replantation procedures to be followed in emergency. The residing area and age of parent did not affect the knowledge and awareness of parents. Moreover, well-educated parents also had very little or no information about dental trauma first-aid. The lack of significance in correct answers between those with and without such experience indicated that past experience did not seem to have increase the knowledge of the correct emergency procedures. Very little or no information about tooth avulsion and replantation had been given to most of them. CONCLUSION Dental injury prevention and management should be recognized as a major public health issue and adequate resources to be allocated for research in this area. Educational programs to improve the knowledge and awareness among the parents have to be implemented.

Abstract
AIM Interventions that improve knowledge about emergency management of traumatic dental injuries may be a good way to achieve a more favorable prognosis in such situations. We set out to evaluate the short- and long-term effects of combined educational interventions on health teachers, including lecture presentation, question-and-answer sessions, and informational posters to promote awareness regarding emergency measures for traumatized teeth. Assessment was performed using a three-part questionnaire, including demographic data, knowledge, and self-assessment. Using a census sampling method, 52 health teachers of 68 potential candidates participated in the study. The questionnaires of 38 teachers who participated at all three intervals, including before (T0), immediately after (T1), and 36 months after (T2) the intervention, were analyzed. Statistical analysis involved Cochrane and McNemar's tests. Totally, results revealed an increase in knowledge from T0 to T1 and T2 intervals (P < 0.017). This study shows the positive effect of educational campaigns and, therefore, serves to encourage professionals to embark on innovative educational programs in this field.

Abstract
Aim: To assess awareness of school teachers concerning the emergency management of traumatized teeth. Materials and Methods: This is a prospective intervention study conducted with 1000 teachers (500 urban, 500 rural) randomly selected from the entire government and private, primary (elementary) as well as secondary (high) schools of Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Study was carried out in three phases; the first phase being an initial survey conducted to assess the existing knowledge of teachers on management of traumatic injuries by using self-administered questionnaire. This was followed by a comprehensive informative promotion regarding the initial management of the traumatic dental injuries for the teachers. A post-promotion follow-up review was conducted 3 months later to evaluate the effect of the informative promotion, using the same set of questionnaires. Study was completed over a period of 9 months. Statistical Methods: Data analysis was done using SPSS software version 14.0, and Chi-square test was used to compare the knowledge of teachers prior to and after the informative promotion. The level of significance was set at P ≤ 0.05. Results: The teachers’ overall knowledge with respect to the emergency management of the traumatic injuries was deficient and significant differences were found in the knowledge of teachers before and after the informative promotion. Conclusion: Informative promotion programs to improve the knowledge and awareness of this group of community, who are generally the first line of assistance in case of dental trauma in schools, are mandatory.
