Abstract
Home-based exercises are an important component of stroke rehabilitation but are seldom fully completed. Past studies of exercise perseverance in the general public have suggested the importance of early exercise frequency and schedule consistency (in terms of which days of the week exercises are performed) because they encourage habit formation. To test whether these observations apply after a stroke, we leveraged data from 2,583 users of a sensor-based system (FitMi) developed to motivate movement exercises at home. We grouped users based on their early exercise frequency (defined across the initial 6 weeks of use) and calculated the evolution of habit score (defined as exercise frequency multiplied by exercise duration) across 6 months. We found that habit score decayed exponentially over time but with a slower decay constant for individuals with higher early frequency. Only the group with an early exercise frequency of 4 days/week or more had non-zero habit score at six months. Within each frequency group, dividing individuals into higher and lower consistency subgroups revealed that the higher consistency subgroups had significantly higher habit scores. These results are consistent with previous studies on habit formation in exercise and may help in designing effective home rehabilitation programs after stroke.

Abstract
Introduction Despite the effectiveness of exercise-based interventions on symptom management and disease progression, many people with Parkinson's Disease (PwPD) do not exercise regularly. In line with the ubiquitous use of digital health technology, the MoveONParkinson digital solution was developed, comprising a Web Platform and a Mobile App with a Conversational Agent (CA). The interface features were designed based on the principles of Social Cognitive Theory with the goal of fostering behavior change in PwPD for sustained exercise participation and improved disease management. Methods Using a mixed methods approach, this study aimed to collect feedback, assess the acceptability of the Mobile App and the Web Platform, and evaluate the usability of the latter. Quantitative data, which included questionnaire responses and the System Usability Scale (SUS) scores, were analyzed using descriptive statistics, heatmaps, and correlation matrices. Qualitative data, comprising semi-structured and thinking-aloud interview transcripts, were subjected to an inductive thematic analysis. A total of 28 participants were involved in the study, comprising 20 physiotherapists (average age: 34.50 ± 10.4), and eight PwPD (average age: 65.75 ± 8.63; mean Hoehn & Yahr: 2.0 (± 0.76)). Results Three main themes emerged from the thematic analysis of the interviews, namely: Self-management (Theme 1), User Engagement (Theme 2), and Recommendations (Theme 3). The assessment of the Mobile App and the CA (mean score: 4.42/5.0 ± 0.79) suggests that PwPD were able to navigate this interface without notable difficulties. The mean SUS score of 79.50 (± 12.40%) with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 73.70 to 85.30, reveal good usability. Discussion These findings indicate a high level of acceptability of the MoveONParkinson digital solution, serving as a foundation for assessing its impact on exercise engagement and, subsequently, its influence on symptom management and quality of life of PwPD.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Chatbots, or conversational agents, have emerged as significant tools in health care, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence and digital technology. These programs are designed to simulate human conversations, addressing various health care needs. However, no comprehensive synthesis of health care chatbots' roles, users, benefits, and limitations is available to inform future research and application in the field. OBJECTIVE This review aims to describe health care chatbots' characteristics, focusing on their diverse roles in the health care pathway, user groups, benefits, and limitations. METHODS A rapid review of published literature from 2017 to 2023 was performed with a search strategy developed in collaboration with a health sciences librarian and implemented in the MEDLINE and Embase databases. Primary research studies reporting on chatbot roles or benefits in health care were included. Two reviewers dual-screened the search results. Extracted data on chatbot roles, users, benefits, and limitations were subjected to content analysis. RESULTS The review categorized chatbot roles into 2 themes: delivery of remote health services, including patient support, care management, education, skills building, and health behavior promotion, and provision of administrative assistance to health care providers. User groups spanned across patients with chronic conditions as well as patients with cancer; individuals focused on lifestyle improvements; and various demographic groups such as women, families, and older adults. Professionals and students in health care also emerged as significant users, alongside groups seeking mental health support, behavioral change, and educational enhancement. The benefits of health care chatbots were also classified into 2 themes: improvement of health care quality and efficiency and cost-effectiveness in health care delivery. The identified limitations encompassed ethical challenges, medicolegal and safety concerns, technical difficulties, user experience issues, and societal and economic impacts. CONCLUSIONS Health care chatbots offer a wide spectrum of applications, potentially impacting various aspects of health care. While they are promising tools for improving health care efficiency and quality, their integration into the health care system must be approached with consideration of their limitations to ensure optimal, safe, and equitable use.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Rehabilitation for adults with traumatic brain injury (TBI) incorporates client-centred goal-setting and motivational support to achieve goals. However, face-to-face rehabilitation is time-limited. New therapy approaches which leverage care are warranted. Conversational agents (CAs) offer a human-computer interface with which a person can converse. This study tested the feasibility, usability and acceptability of using a novel CA - RehabChat - alongside brain injury rehabilitation. DESIGN Mixed methods, single case design, feasibility pilot trial. SETTING Ambulatory and community brain injury rehabilitation. PARTICIPANTS Adults with TBI receiving brain injury rehabilitation and clinicians providing this care. INTERVENTION Following 1:1 training, client-clinician dyads used RehabChat for two weeks alongside usual care. MAIN MEASURES Pre-post clinical measures (Motivation for Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation Questionnaire, Rehabilitation Therapy Engagement Scale, Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust Motivation Questionnaire-Relative, Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust Motivation Questionnaire-Self) repeated measures (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, researcher-developed wellbeing screening questions); and post-intervention (System Usability Scale (SUS), semi-structured 1:1 interview). RESULTS Six participants (two clients and four clinicians) completed training. Two client-clinician dyads completed the intervention. Two other clinicians used RehabChat in a mock client-clinician session. SUS scores indicated good usability. Client well-being did not deteriorate. No adverse events were experienced. Interviews indicated RehabChat was feasible, acceptable and easy to use; and supported motivation, goal-setting and completing practice activities. CONCLUSIONS RehabChat was feasible and acceptable to use alongside usual ambulatory and community brain injury rehabilitation, had good usability and supported client needs. Further testing of RehabChat with a larger cohort for longer duration is warranted.
