Abstract
The occurrence of ureteral metastasis from distant primary tumors is uncommon, and appears to be especially rare when it originates from the lungs. In the case presented here, a patient with lumbago and left hydronephrosis was diagnosed with left ureteral metastasis of pulmonary adenocarcinoma after a CT‐guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy of the lung and retroperitoneal laparoscopic left nephroureterectomy. He accepted the targeted therapy because the lung tumor epidermal growth factor receptor mutation (exon19 deletion) was positive, and preoperative staging of lung adenocarcinoma was stage IVA. After an 8‐month follow‐up, he is still alive and well, with no local recurrence or distant metastases. The therapy outcome assessment is stable disease. Although rare, our case has demonstrated that pulmonary adenocarcinoma has the possibility of metastasizing to the ureter, a risk that should be considered in some lung cancer patients.

Abstract
A 73-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital for treatment of vomiting. Four months previously, she had been diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma (cT3N3M1a stage IVA) and started receiving afatinib as first-line treatment. On admission, the primary tumor had shrunk, but abdominal computed tomography revealed a new retroperitoneal lesion causing duodenal obstruction and hydronephrosis. She underwent gastrojejunostomy, and a biopsy of the peritoneum revealed adenocarcinoma. She was treated with second-line chemotherapy but developed cerebral infarction and died 104 days after admission. An autopsy revealed marked fibrosis with scattered tumor cells in the retroperitoneum. The underlying mechanism of the metastasis is discussed.

Abstract
Lung cancer is one of the most common causes of cancer-related death. Most of them already have distant metastasis at the time of diagnosis, but ureteral metastasis is extremely rare. Herein, we reported a lung cancer patient with a metastatic lesion from lung cancer at the distal end of the ureter. The patient is a 61-year-old male diagnosed with invasive adenocarcinoma after the right upper lobe resection and system lymph node dissection surgery. After 12 months of surgery, during routine physical examination, lower abdominal enhanced computed tomography showed there was a soft mass with uneven continuous enhancement at the distal end of the ureter. After the surgery of ureter, the mass was histologically considered to be a metastatic lesion arising from the primary lung cancer.

Abstract
We report a rare case of a lung adenocarcinoma presenting with chylothorax and metastases to the common bile duct and the rectum. From the radiological and endoscopic appearance of the tumors, the main differential diagnoses were metastatic lung cancer to multiple rare extra-thoracic sites and multiple synchronous primary oncological malignancies. Pathological examination of the biopsies with positive immunohistochemical staining for thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) played an important role in confirming metastatic pulmonary adenocarcinoma.

Abstract
We describe an unusual presentation of metastatic lung adenocarcinoma as malignant retroperitoneal fibrosis (MRPF). The diagnostic challenge, due to the small solitary lung mass and absence of a discrete retroperitoneal mass, was overcome by diagnostic laparoscopy. Molecular analysis of tissue acquired was positive for ALK gene rearrangement. Treatment of the patient with crizotinib reversed MRPF. He was weaned off the nephrostomy tubes and is with stable renal function 11 months after diagnosis.
