Abstract
The Brief Job Stress Questionnaire (BJSQ) is used widely in occupational health studies and practice. Summarizing scientific production based on measurement is crucial. This study aimed to systematically review observational studies that used the BJSQ and the New BJSQ to show their usability. A systematic search was conducted for studies investigating relationships between the BJSQ or the New BJSQ subscales and other validated measurements on 13 September 2021, in various literature databases. The BJSQ subscales, scoring methods, and other validated measurements in the studies were qualitatively summarized. In total, 145 published reports between 2003 and 2021 were included. Among the BJSQ subscales, job stressors (n = 95) such as quantitative job overload (n = 65) and job control (n = 64) were most often used. The subscales were utilized to investigate the relationships with several other measurements. Five reports used subscales from the New BJSQ. In the last two decades, the BJSQ and the New BJSQ help measure psychosocial factors (PF) at work and contribute to the publication of scientific papers in the occupational health field. This study would encourage the utilization of the questionnaires for future research and practice.

Abstract
Job-related stress affects the physical and psychological health of professionals dedicated to care. This work is a systematic review that aims to determine the relationships between a sense of coherence (SOC) and work stress and well-being perceived by care professionals. The review was carried out following the PRISMA guidelines, and the search was carried out using the Web of Science (WoS), PubMed, and Scopus databases, obtaining a final selection of 41 articles. The results indicate that stress, depression, burnout, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) negatively correlate with SOC; in contrast, job satisfaction, well-being, and quality of life positively correlate with SOC. It is concluded that SOC could act as a mediating variable and as a predictor variable of these health problems.

Abstract
Background: Nurses experience high levels of distress due to the nature of their work and workplaces; Antonovsky’s salutogenic theory shows that individual and work-related factors can influence human health. The aim of this paper is to analyze the possible correlations with different work-related and individual variables, which influence or are influenced by Sense of Coherence (SOC) and verify the possible use of SOC scales to prevent negative health determinants in workplaces. Methods: Electronic databases were searched with selected studies compared for sample, sample size, study design and basic results. Cross-sectional studies were reviewed for correlations between individual physical and mental health, distress, burnout, job satisfaction and SOC, with intervention studies used to assess the possible impact of training on nurses’ SOC. Results: The review found several correlations between SOC and different work-related variables; but also with several individual characteristics. Conclusion: The review found that SOC was predictor of depressive state, burnout, job dissatisfaction among female nurses; therefore, SOC could be a health promoting resource.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES There is evidence to support the correlation between a stronger sense of coherence (SOC) and better perceived quality of life (QOL). However, this association has not been described among Iranian students. METHODS Students were selected by stratified randomization and demographic data including age, gender, and employment status were collected. SOC was measured using the short-form of the Sense of Coherence Scale (SOC-13). The World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL)-BREF questionnaire was used to assess the QOL. Data was collected over one year between 2014 and 2015. RESULTS A total of 459 students participated in the study. The Cronbach's alpha score in domains of physical health, psychological health, environmental health, social relationships, and WHOQOL-BREF total score were 0.84, 0.83, 0.84, 0.78, and 0.94, respectively. Measured Cronbach's alpha for domains of meaningfulness, manageability, comprehensibility, and SOC-13 total score were 0.68, 0.67, 0.76, and 0.87, respectively. Marital status was not related to SOC whereas married students had significantly higher scores of QOL in the domains of psychological health, social relationships, and environment health (p=0.006, p<0.0001 and p=0.043, respectively). There were significant strong positive relationships between all components of SOC (meaningfulness, manageability, and comprehensibility) and all domains of WHOQOF-BREF (p<0.0001 for all). CONCLUSION This study shows that SOC and marital status are significant predictors of QOL among Iranian students.
