Abstract
Background. Mineralized lesions of the jaws are often found incidentally on radiographs and computed tomography. Most of them are benign, and only a few rare cases are associated with malignant transformation. However, there is little clinical data on successful rehabilitation with implants in patients with mineralized lesions. This narrative review aimed to study the efficiency and safety of dental implantation in the area of hyperdense lesions. Materials and Methods. A PubMed, Google Scholar, and Science Direct database search was carried out with keywords and manually. Results. The literature exploration identified 323 articles; only 19 of them matched the search criteria and reported cases about dental implantation in the lesion area. It has been shown that in 84.2% of described cases, dental implantation was successful: in the osteoid osteoma, odontoma, cementoblastoma, idiopathic osteosclerosis, and condensing osteitis areas dental implantation was performed without any complications. The possibility of lesion recurrence and implant failure limited the use of dental implants in the area of osteoblastoma and cemento-osseous dysplasia. Although most cases of dental implantation in hyperdense jaw lesions were successful and were not accompanied by complications, further research is needed.

Abstract
El presente informe tiene como propósito reportar un caso clínico de odontoma complejo intraóseo ubicado en la zona posterior del tercer molar inferior derecho, molar que se encuentra retenido y que es parte principal de la estructura del odontoma. Un odontoma —o hamartoma de tejido odontogénico— es una alteración del desarrollo o malformación que presenta tejidos dentales como esmalte, dentina, cemento y pulpa. La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) define los odontomas como tumores odontogénicos benignos mixtos, epiteliales y mesenquimáticos; son, por lo general, asintomáticos; su etiología no se encuentra definida —por lo que se asocian a distintos factores—; se clasifican en compuestos y complejos —en virtud de diferencias en la organización del tejido dentario—; y, regularmente, son diagnosticados mediante análisis radiográficos y con biopsias enviadas a patología. Al Paciente —de sexo masculino, 45 años, hipertenso controlado— se le realizaron radiografías panorámica y tomografía. Una vez analizados los estudios complementarios, se realizó la enucleación y la exodoncia quirúrgica los molares tercero y segundo, que resultaron afectados. Adicionalmente, se utilizó Plasma Rico en Fibrina (PRF) para rellenar la cavidad ósea. Finalmente, se realizó estudio histopatológico, donde se confirmó el diagnóstico de odontoma.

Abstract
Odontoma is an asymptomatic slow-growing odontogenic tumor. It is usually found by chance in the maxilla or mandible on radiography, or when it deforms the adjacent teeth. It is commonly found in patients who are 30 years of age or younger. We report our encounter with an odontoma within a dentigerous cyst found incidentally in a 56-year-old man. He presented with abnormal fullness in the right infraorbital area of the cheek. During the evaluation of the mass, we incidentally detected the odontogenic tumor within a dentigerous cyst in the patient's maxilla. Under general anesthesia, complete surgical drainage of the infraorbital cystic mass was performed. Enucleation of the odontogenic tumor and a bone grafting from the iliac bone were also performed. The final diagnosis was odontoma. After 2 years of follow-up, there was no sign of recurrence of the tumor. In case of odontogenic tumors, even in old patients, it is important to suspect an odontoma. When odontoma accompanies a dentigerous cyst, surgical excisional biopsy should be performed to rule out malignancy. In case of a large bony defect after enucleation, autogenous bone grafting is essential for reconstruction.

Abstract
Odontomas are mixed odontogenic tumors composed of mineralized tissue of ectomesenchymal origin. These are usually detected in routine radiographs and may have a variable etiology such as local trauma, genetic mutation, or infection. They are classified into two main types: complex and compound. Complex odontomas are rare and they rarely erupt into the oral cavity as they lack periodontal ligament. This is the report of one such case of complex odontoma where an 11-year-old girl reported with an asymptomatic swelling, in relation to the left angle of the mandible. The case report highlights the clinical and radiographic findings, investigations done to arrive at the diagnosis and the treatment rendered. This report is of clinical importance because of its rare association with the agenesis of a molar tooth.
