Abstract
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma with characteristic histopathological features and can occur in various extranodal sites, including the gastrointestinal tract. While gastric MALT lymphoma has been extensively researched, primary lymphoma presentation in the colorectal mucosa is rare and lacks any association with Helicobacter pylori infection. Furthermore, there are currently no standardized treatment guidelines for this condition. This report presents a rare case of primary MALT lymphoma that manifested as a broad-based polyp. The diagnosis was confirmed through histopathological and immunohistochemical examination, and the polyp was resected endoscopically with the endoscopic submucosal dissection technique.

Abstract
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas are typically found in the stomach, while colonic MALT lymphoma is rarely found. Considering its rarity, definitive treatment of colonic MALT lymphoma has not been established. Different from that in the stomach, Helicobacter pylori infection might play a minor role while determining the treatment of colonic MALT lymphoma. If colonic MALT lymphoma is localized, treatment options are surgical resection, radiation, endoscopic resection, or combination therapy. Here, we report a case of residual colonic MALT lymphoma after endoscopic mucosal resection, which was a 1.5-cm-sized tumor confined to the superficial wall of the rectum. The lesion was successfully treated using the endoscopic submucosal dissection technique. The patient remained disease-free for 4 years. This case provides rationale for endoscopic submucosal dissection treatment as a salvage therapy for residual tumors in properly selected patients with colonic MALT lymphoma.

Abstract
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphomas are the most common form of primary malignant gastrointestinal lymphoma. Although typically found in the stomach, extragastric locations have been described, in rare cases, the colon. The optimal management of these neoplasms remains uncertain and limited largely to small retrospective series or case reports. We report a patient with a colonic mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma identified during a routine screening colonoscopy which was removed endoscopically without any adjuvant antimicrobial therapy, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy. She remained disease-free after the 1-year follow-up, providing support to potential endoscopic therapy in appropriately selected patients.
