Abstract
Introduction Appendicular osteosarcoma (OSA) is a highly aggressive and metastatic primary bone tumour in dogs. Standard therapy is amputation and adjuvant chemotherapy (e.g. with doxorubicin). Liposomal drug delivery may augment therapeutic efficacy and reduce negative side effects. Polyethylene glycol (PEG)-liposomal doxorubicin treats human metastatic cancers effectively. The study aimed was to evaluate PEG-liposomal doxorubicin's inhibitory effect on canine metastatic proliferation and migration in vitro. It also aimed to appraise the drug's extravasation inhibition in vivo using the human medicine-proven chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane ex ovo model. Material and Methods The canine D-17 OSA cell line was cultured and inoculated with decreasing concentrations of PEG-liposomal doxorubicin and conventional doxorubicin in a 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) test of cell viability, proliferation and cytotoxicity. Flow cytometry with Annexin V and Draq 7 staining confirmed the MTT test results, indicating dead, early and late apoptotic, and live cells. The inhibitory effect of the two preparations on cancer cell migration was investigated with a wound-healing assay. Culture plates seeded with cells were prepared. The cell monolayer was scratched and images of cells migrating to the scratch were captured at 0 h, 12 h and 24 h. Also, embryos were removed from three-day-incubated fertilised chicken eggs. On the 12th day, labelled D-17 cells were injected into each embryo. Embryos in one group received 100 μL of phosphate-buffered saline as controls, those in another group 30 μg/mL of PEG-liposomal doxorubicin, and those in the last group 6 μg/mL of conventional doxorubicin. The effectiveness of the intravascular administration of the D-17 cells was confirmed under a microscope. Results PEG-liposomal doxorubicin inhibited the migration of canine OSA cells more effectively than conventional doxorubicin (P ≤ 0.05). The ex ovo model showed that both drugs had similar impacts on canine metastatic OSA. Conclusion The liposomal form of the drug may be considered a potentially effective compound in canine metastatic OSA; nevertheless, further in vivo studies are essential to confirm this hypothesis.

Abstract
Over the past 2 decades, rapid advancement in systemic anticancer therapeutics has led to astounding improvement in survival rates of patients with cancer. However, this celebrated progress has brought with it an evolving spectrum of drug toxicities that limit their prodigious capabilities. Cutaneous adverse events are of the most frequent of these toxicities, with substantial impact on quality of life and commonly resulting in dose reduction or change in therapy. Thus, familiarity with the array of dermatologic manifestations caused by these drugs is prudent for patient treatment. As such, the advent of dedicated oncodermatologists, and their introduction into multidisciplinary cancer care, has been crucial in optimizing treatment through therapeutic achievement and overall well-being. This review will address the epidemiology, clinical presentations, and management strategies of the major dermatologic adverse events of systemic anticancer agents, including cytotoxic chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Breast cancer patients may experience an increased chance of survival with adjuvant chemotherapy. However dermatologic adverse effects can cause major discomfort due to physical or cosmetic problems. This study aims to describe dermatologic complications in breast cancer patients during chemotherapy. METHODS This longitudinal prospective observational study included data on women with non-metastatic breast cancer whom were treated with AC-T protocol (anthracycline, cyclophosphamide, and taxane) adjuvant chemotherapy and consecutively enrolled during two years. The study was performed in an educational and tertiary referral center. The patients' information including age, body mass index (BMI), past medical history, and different dermatologic complications were collected for all participants. RESULTS Of 190 enrolled women, all patients experienced alopecia, which occurred in 131 patients (68.9%) after the first cycle. Skin, mucosal, and nail involvement were respectively seen in 46 (24.2%), 51 (26.8%), and 86 (45.2%) cases. Cutaneous complications were observed mainly between the third and sixth chemotherapy cycles. Palmoplantar erythema and palmoplantar dysesthesia were the most common cutaneous complications. Dermatologic adverse effects were significantly more frequent in the patients with an underlying disease. CONCLUSION These findings suggest that dermatologic adverse effects of adjuvant chemotherapy are common and could be induced by all components of AC-T regimen. These complications should be skillfully managed to increase patients' comfort.

Abstract
Conventional chemotherapy continues to be an important part of cancer management, but may cause various cutaneous reactions because it disturbs specific cell cycle phases. The alkylating agents cyclophosphamide, ifosfamide, and thiotepa can produce hyperpigmentation, while hypersensitivity reactions can be seen with platinum alkylating agents. Antimetabolites vary in reactions from exanthematous to bullous skin lesions. 5-fluorouracil and its derivatives and liposomal doxorubicin and daunorubicin are characteristically known to cause hand-foot syndrome, while bleomycin can cause fibrosis and flagellate dermatitis. Several hypersensitivity reactions may also occur from mitotic inhibitors and topoisomerase inhibitors. These different characteristic presentations are important to dermatologists in identifying the correct diagnosis and management for the cancer patient.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) is active in metastatic breast cancer. This observational study evaluated the efficacy and safety of PLD in patients treated during routine clinical practice. METHODS Eligible patients had metastatic breast cancer and were treated with PLD according to the dose and schedule determined by their physician as part of routine practice. The primary objectives were to analyze the efficacy and toxicity of PLD therapy. RESULTS 125 patients were assessable. Median age was 62 years, 78% had performance status 0-1, and 60% had estrogen-receptor-positive disease. PLD treatment was second- or third-line in 69% of patients. Prior anthracyclines (adjuvant or metastatic) had been used in 56% of patients. The majority of patients (79%) received PLD every 4 weeks at a median dose of 40 mg/m2. Overall response rate was 43% in all patients and 34% in those previously treated with anthracyclines. The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were skin toxicity/hand-foot syndrome (6%), and leukopenia (3%). CONCLUSIONS This observational study supports the activity and tolerability of PLD in metastatic breast cancer as demonstrated in PLD clinical trials.
