Abstract
Erythroderma, an inflammatory skin condition characterized by widespread erythema with variable degrees of exfoliation, pustulation, or vesiculobullous formation, is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Determining the underlying cause of erythroderma frequently presents a diagnostic challenge, which may contribute to the condition's relatively poor prognosis. This review covers the clinical presentation, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of erythroderma. It discusses similarities and differences among the many underlying etiologies of the condition and differences between erythrodermic and non-erythrodermic presentations of the same dermatosis. Finally, this article explores current research that may provide future tools in the diagnosis and management of erythroderma.

Abstract
Eczema is the most common category of inflammatory skin disorders as dermatologists see many patients with eczematous diseases in daily practice. It is characterized by the three major morphological features: multiple-pinpoint condition, polymorphism, and itch. To describe polymorphism, "eczema triangle" has been used in German/Japanese dermatology. The multiple pinpoints correspond to numerous tiny foci from which individual papules/vesicles arise. The polymorphism betrays composition of erythema, papule, seropapule, vesicle, pustule, scale, and crust, which are seen in acute eczema. Meanwhile, chronic eczema is represented by lichenification and hyperpigmentation, and possibly by hypopigmentation. In acute eczema, spongiosis is associated with overproduction of hyaluronic acid, secretion of self-protective galectin-7, and decreased expression of E-cadherin. In the upper dermis, Th1/Tc1 or Th2/Tc2, and additional Th17, Th22, and/or Tc22 infiltrate, depending on each eczematous disease. Innate lymphoid cells are also involved in the formation of eczema. In chronic eczema, periostin contributes to remodeling of inflammatory skin with dermal fibrosis, and epidermal melanogenesis and dermal pigment deposition result in hyperpigmentation. Finally, eczematous diseases are potentially associated with increased risk of comorbidities, including not only other allergic diseases but also coronary heart disease and mental problems such as depression. Although the original word for eczema is derived from old Greek "ekzein," eczema remains a major target of modern science and novel therapies.

Abstract
Skin reflects the presence of systemic diseases, leading to an unexpected diagnosis of insidious diseases. Deck-chair sign is a unique skin eruption characterized by widespread erythematous papules that become erythrodermic with spare skin folds. An association between the deck-chair sign and malignancies, especially hematological neoplasms, has been suggested. We report a forensic case of mycosis fungoides unexpectedly diagnosed in the presence of a deck-chair sign. Mycosis fungoides is representative of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas. Here, we successfully demonstrated the feasibility of analyzing mycosis fungoides in a forensic autopsy case using basic histopathology and serology. We emphasize that the underlying malignancy should be primarily considered in cadavers with a positive deck-chair sign and review current reports about this characteristic skin manifestation.

Abstract
Papuloerythroderma of Ofuji (PEO) is a rare skin disorder characterized by a distinctive pattern of pruritic, flat-topped, erythematous papules which coalesce into an erythroderma-like eruption with classic sparing of the skin folds. Although the pathogenesis of this condition is incompletely understood, previous reports have suggested a notable link between PEO and various forms of malignancy and immunocompromised states. Here, we report a case of a healthy young male with no comorbidities who presented with the classical features of PEO that responded well to combination therapy comprised of topical corticosteroids and phototherapy.

Abstract
Papuloerythroderma of Ofuji (PEO) is a rare skin condition first described in 1984 and characterized by diffuse erythroderma composed of papules coalescing into plaques with sparing of skin folds, known as the deck-chair sign. The disease is almost exclusively seen in the elderly and affects men more frequently than women. Common laboratory findings include peripheral and tissue eosinophilia, elevated levels of immunoglobulin E, and lymphopenia. The diagnosis entails exclusion of potentially causative pathologies, including drug intake, atopy, malignancy, and infection. These factors have frequently been found in association with PEO, but their role in the etiopathogenesis of the disease is poorly understood. A dysregulated immune system, with particular involvement of T-helper (Th)2 and Th22 cells, seems to be important in the development of PEO. Controversy exists as to whether PEO exists as an independent entity or as a clinical pattern of a variety of distinct conditions. Treatment necessitates first addressing any coexisting circumstances that may have a causal relationship with PEO. In idiopathic cases, topical and oral corticosteroids, ultraviolet light therapies, and immunosuppressive/immunomodulating therapies have been used with variable results. Future studies are needed to further understand the disease process and to establish guidelines for diagnostic workup and treatment.

Abstract
The majority of patients with Sézary syndrome (SS) present with classic symptoms of erythroderma, lymphadenopathy, and pruritus. However, there have been numerous reports of patients with SS who have non-classic signs. In this review, we report the less common clinical presentations of SS and discuss their relevant treatments. Our search included all literature on SS since 2008, the year the World Health Organization (WHO) incorporated the diagnostic criteria for SS into the WHO Classification of Tumours of Haematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissues. We reviewed 896 articles and identified 505 patients with non-classic presentations of SS. Of these 505 patients, the most common non-classic signs of SS were keratoderma, onychodystrophy, alopecia, leonine facies, and ectropion. Given the aggressive and highly symptomatic nature of SS, it is imperative that clinicians recognize the less common signs of the disease to prevent delays in diagnosis and treatment. To our knowledge, this is the first review of the clinical variations of SS with a focus on non-classic signs and symptoms.
