Abstract
The main aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of a dual task protocol in people with episodic migraine with respect to both active exercises only and cognitive task only treatments, concerning some neurophysiological and clinical outcomes. A randomized control trial was adopted in people with episodic migraine without aura. Some neurophysiological and clinical outcomes were collected (t0): resting motor threshold (rMT), short intracortical inhibition (SICI) and facilitation (ICF), pressure pain threshold (PPT), trail making test (TMT), frontal assessment battery (FAB), headache-related disability (MIDAS) and headache parameters. Then, participants were randomized into three groups: active exercise only (n = 10), cognitive task only (n = 10) and dual task protocol (n = 10). After 3 months of each treatment and after 1-month follow-up the same neurophysiological and clinical outcomes were revaluated. A significant time x group effect was only found for the trapezius muscle (p = 0.012, pη2 = 0.210), suggesting that PPT increased significantly only in active exercise and dual task protocol groups. A significant time effect was found for rMT (p < 0.001, pη2 = 0.473), MIDAS (p < 0.001, pη2 = 0.426), TMT (p < 0.001, pη2 = 0.338) and FAB (p < 0.001, pη2 = 0.462). A repeated measures ANOVA for SICI at 3 ms highlighted a statistically significant time effect for the dual task group (p < 0.001, pη2 = 0.629), but not for the active exercises group (p = 0.565, pη2 = 0.061), and for the cognitive training (p = 0.357, pη2 = 0.108). The dual task protocol seems to have a more evident effect on both habituation and sensitization outcomes than the two monotherapies taken alone in people with migraine.

Abstract
Cognitive impairment is one of the invisible symptoms of Multiple sclerosis (MS), which could be associated with depression, unemployment, reduced social interaction, inability to drive, and compromised quality of life. Moreover, the presence of cognitive impairment can be considered as a long-term prognostic factor and in the follow-up of disability. So, cognitive assessment is a crucial element in clinical follow-up of patients with MS (pwMS). International recommendations mention the use of the Brief International Cognitive Assessment in MS (BICAMS). The BICAMS, that has been recently validated in French is a brief non-exhaustive assessment, developed as a short screening battery, hence needing other supplemented tests. The present paper aims to propose a consensus, approved by expert French consensus from the Cognition group of the SF-SEP (http://sfsep.org [Société Francophone de la Sclérose en Plaques]), for cognitive assessment of pwMS suggesting the tools that should be used in order to apprehend the other cognitive impairments that could appear in MS.

Abstract
Introduction Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a prevalent neurological disease characterised by disseminated areas of demyelination and atrophy within the central nervous system, inducing cognitive disorders in 45%-65% of persons with MS (PwMS). Neuropsychology and neuroimaging studies provide evidence of the effectiveness of cognitive rehabilitation interventions, including memory and attention. Recently, serious game therapy (SGT) has been used in rehabilitation to improve cognitive processing speed. The aim of this study is to describe the protocol of a randomised controlled trial (RCT) to test the efficacy of a tablet-based cognitive home intervention among ambulatory PwMS, in comparison to a standardised neuropsychological rehabilitation. Methods and analysis This will be a parallel-assignment, double-blinded, RCT. One hundred and fifty (75 per arm) PwMS will be randomly assigned to receive cognitive rehabilitation session over 4 months (four 20-min sessions/week) of either: (1) tablet-based SGT or (2) conventional cognitive exercises. The same assessor will evaluate outcome measures at three points: at baseline (T0), after the 16 therapy sessions weeks (T1), and 6 months after the end of treatment (T2). The primary outcomes were the scores from the Brief International Cognitive Assessment for Multiple Sclerosis (BICAMS). Data analysis will be performed to compare the efficacy of the two treatments. We expect superior efficiency of tablet-based SGT in contrast to conventional cognitive exercises, based on BICAMS measures of speed processing information and episodic memory. Ethics and dissemination The trial protocol is registered on ClinicalTrials.Gov (NCT04694534) and benefits from a favourable opinion from an ethics committee (RC-P0066-2018-A00411-54).

Abstract
Cognitive impairment in persons with MS (pwMS) occurs commonly, early and independently of other clinical features of the disease. MS-related cognitive impairment is mainly characterized by weakening of information processing speed, working memory and episodic memory. Much evidence, based on both neuropsychological and neuroimaging outcomes, highlights successful cognitive rehabilitation interventions. In this context, promotion of physical activity and exercise training could be a dual, motor and cognitive, rehabilitation method. The aim of this article is, firstly, to review existing evidence regarding the effects of exercise on cognition among pwMS, and secondly, to explore the possible mechanisms of action of the cognitive-motor coupling.

Abstract
PURPOSE Despite typically more pronounced cognitive and mental health issues in progressive disease courses of multiple sclerosis (PMS), rehabilitation research in this subgroup is rare. The efficacy of two non-pharmacological interventions with positive results from prior investigations was therefore examined in PMS specifically. METHODS Persons with PMS (pwPMS) received either computerized cognitive training (BrainStim), standardized cognitive-behavioral group sessions (Metacognitive Training [MaTiMS]), or a combination of both in an ambulatory setting. Neuropsychological assessment was conducted before and after the four-week intervention. RESULTS 37 participants (13 with primary/24 with secondary PMS, meanage = 52.87, SDage = 7.11, meanEDSS = 4.02, SDEDSS = 1.35) entered analyses. The BrainStim group improved in immediate and delayed verbal memory, recognition, verbal working memory, and perceived cognitive deficits while experiencing increased anxiety post-intervention. MaTiMS participants reported high program satisfaction and less cognitive difficulties at retest. The Combination group performed better in immediate and delayed verbal memory, and in information processing speed after training. Descriptive data further indicated positive effects on anxiety and depression in the MaTiMS and Combination group. CONCLUSIONS While objective cognitive performance improved when explicitly trained, psychoeducative sessions contributed to subjective mental health. The combination of both approaches is thus suggested, considering the specific needs of pwPMS treated in an ambulatory setting.

Abstract
Cognitive impairment (CI) represents a common symptom in patients suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS), which can affect every stage of the disease course. Recent studies seem to support cognitive rehabilitation (CR) for minimizing the CI consequences. We reviewed the currently available evidence on the non-pharmacological approaches to CI, with the aim of giving an overview of the treatments used worldwide, from the traditional methods to the most recent techniques. A search of the literature was conducted on PubMed (articles in English performed in the last five years on humans). A total of 37 articles met our eligibility criteria after screening titles, abstracts and full-text and were divided into three main groups: in-presence interventions; studies performed via tele-rehabilitation and miscellaneous. Despite the great heterogeneity of the intervention and assessment methods, the evidence suggests that a non-pharmacological approach can improve MS-related CI. Cognitive rehabilitation seems effective and well established, as well as the use of computerized CR having the benefit of being even more appealing. Limited conclusions can be drawn on group CR due to the small number of studies focused on this kind of intervention. Some of the innovative approaches (virtual reality, EEG-based neurofeedback, brain stimulation, exercise, diet modification) may play a role in future studies and should be deeply explored.

Abstract
Background: In recent years, several blinded randomized controlled trials (RCT) have been conducted on cognitive rehabilitation (CR) in adults with multiple sclerosis (MS). Objective: To review all blinded RCTs on CR in MS published since 2013. Methods: The National Library of Medicine database (Medline) and PSYCINFO were searched using the keywords MS and CR or cognitive training or NP rehabilitation or memory rehabilitation or attention rehabilitation. Results: After the exclusion of some papers not specifically focused on CR, a final list of 26 studies was established. The papers belong to three main categories: individual specific rehabilitation (8studies), group rehabilitation (4 studies), and computerized training (CT) (14 studies), while one study combined group rehabilitation and CT. Among the individual rehabilitation studies, 5 were devoted to memory, and most of the 19 other selected studies were about several cognitive domains. Most of the studies mainly concerned RRMS patients, except for 2 studies that were carried out exclusively in progressive forms. Despite the methodological limitations of some studies and the great heterogeneity of the protocols, the results are generally in favor of the efficacy of CR in neuropsychological tests. Conclusion: Recent blinded RCTs about CR in MS show promising results.
