Feeling Pulled in Different Directions: A Parsesciencing Inquiry

The Parsesciencing mode of inquiry was used to advance understanding of a universal humanuniverse living experience of feeling pulled in different directions. Ten people engaged in dialogue to address the question, "What is your experience of feeling pulled in different directions?" The discerning extant moment of this inquiry was that feeling pulled in different directions is constrained vigor surfacing in wavering with cherished potentials.

Whitewater Waves

The humanbecoming concept of powering is explored in this article with the author describing her experiences with whitewater waves on the Missouri River in South Dakota. The third principle of humanbecoming along with four humanbecoming inquiries on feeling sad, feeling unsure, feeling disrespected, and living hope are also presented in examining the paradoxical processes involved in powering.

Review of 2007-2020 Humanbecoming Guided Studies and Investigations

The authors in this article provide a review and synthesis of 46 studies and investigations that were published between 2007 to 2020 that were guided by the everchanging humanbecoming paradigm. Moreover, the authors present details and a synthesis of published studies using the Parse research method and humanbecoming hermeneutic method as well as the extant Parsesciencing and humanbecoming hermeneutic sciencing investigations published up to the date of December 31, 2020. The article builds on the previous review conducted by Doucet and Bournes in 2007, which addressed studies conducted from 1985-2006. Newknowings for the enhancement of the everchanging humanbecoming paradigm and the discipline of nursing are provided for scholars to ponder.

Feeling Listened To: A Parsesciencing Inquiry

Feeling listened to as a universal humanuniverse living experience was investigated with the Parsesciencing mode of inquiry. Historians were 10 English-speaking adults between 18 and 65 years old who had been hospitalized, willing to share their experiences of feeling listened to. The inquiry stance was "What is the discerning extant moment of the universal humanuniverse living experience of feeling listened to?" The major discovery of this investigation revealed the discerning extant moment as: Feeling listened to is uplifting recognition amid disconcerting rebuff, as treasured affiliations surfaces with joyful gratification.

Like a Rolling Stone

Suddenly hearing she had breast cancer, M.A., one of the authors, a nurse with discerning witness, ponders her experience of rolling stones. At the time she worked in a center dedicated to living humanbecoming with person-family-community concerned with a cancer illness. Humanbecoming paradigm was the specific discipline guiding the care in the center. Moment-to-moment, the author (M.A.) was moving with emerging meaningful experiences of having breast cancer, shapeshifting her living quality with surprising uncertainties. The humanbecoming principles structuring meaning, configuring rhythmical patterns, and cotranscending with the possibles illustrate her story with the metaphorical expression of mountains as meaningful in a Swiss novel.

The Living Experience of Suffering: A Parse Method Study

This study aimed to explore the phenomenon of suffering as viewed from the humanbecoming paradigm. The Parse research method was used for this study and answers the question: What is the structure of the living experience of suffering? The participants were 10 individuals who experienced one of the most dreadful typhoons in the archipelago of the Philippines. The central finding of the study was as follows: Suffering is penetrating disheartenment amid resoluteness, as pondering with diverse alliances surfaces with lingering glimmers of destruction. The findings are discussed in relation to the humanbecoming paradigm and related literature.

The Living Experience of Feeling Unsure: A Parsesciencing Inquiry

The purpose of this article is to report the discovery of a Parsesciencing inquiry on the universal humanuniverse living experience of feeling unsure. In discussion with the scholar, 10 historians described their experiences. The discerning extant moment of the living experience of feeling unsure was found to be as follows: Feeling unsure is disquieting trepidation with pursuing endeavors arising with joining with-distancing from affiliations.
