Abstract
OBJECTIVE The All of Us Evenings with Genetics (EwG) Research Program at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), funded to engage research scholars to work with the All of Us data, developed a training curriculum for the Researcher Workbench, the platform to access and analyze All of Us data. All of Us EwG developed the curriculum so that it could teach scholars regardless of their skills and background in programming languages and cloud computing. All of Us EwG delivered this curriculum at the first annual All of Us EwG Faculty Summit in May 2022. The curriculum was evaluated both during and after the Faculty Summit so that it could be improved for future training. MATERIALS AND METHODS Surveys were administered to assess scholars' familiarity with the programming languages and computational tools required to use the Researcher Workbench. The curriculum was developed using backward design and was informed by the survey results, a review of available resources for training users on the Researcher Workbench, and All of Us EwG members' collective experience training students. The curriculum was evaluated using feedback surveys during the Faculty Summit as well as virtual meetings and emails following the Faculty Summit. RESULTS The evaluation results demonstrated the success of the curriculum and identified areas for improvement. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION The curriculum has been adapted and improved in response to evaluations and in response to changes to the All of Us data and infrastructure to train more researchers through this program and other scholarly programs.

Abstract
Co-occurring posttraumatic stress disorder and alcohol use disorder is a major public health concern affecting millions of people. Although this disorder affects people from all groups, research shows that, when compared to White people, people of color systematically suffer worse chronicity and burden of disorder. Additionally, research shows that people of color endure a variety of barriers to accessing treatment and often require specialized or culturally appropriate care. Consequently, the array of treatments available must have been determined to be effective for people of color when they access treatment, and people of color must be well represented in research to ensure effective treatment. Therefore, randomized controlled trials testing treatments for this disorder must include racially diverse samples and ensure treatments are effective for all groups. Further, if they lack diversity, it is necessary to explore whether and how the process of conducting randomized controlled trials is biased toward the constrained inclusion of people of color. This study used a Matrix of Domination framework as an intersectional method to investigate this question. It assessed the inclusion of people by race and sex in randomized controlled trials for co-occurring posttraumatic stress disorder and alcohol use disorder. We found that people of color and White women are significantly underincluded in randomized controlled trials and that these studies are hegemonically, disciplinarily, and structurally biased in ways that facilitate the overrepresentation of White men and the underrepresentation of marginalized groups.

Abstract
In response to racial inequities in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), we aimed to identify practical recommendations for increasing engagement and inclusion of Black adults in SLE research. We used a qualitative, interpretive description approach and recruited 30 Black adults diagnosed with SLE in Michigan to participate in semi-structured interviews. Theme development focused on what factors influenced research perceptions and how research did not meet participant needs and expectations. We developed five main themes: (1) Ethical and equitable research. Participants shared how the impacts of past and present-day racism impacted their willingness to participate in research. (2) Trusting researchers to conduct studies and translate findings to health care. Participants had concerns related to researcher intentions and expressed the importance of communicating research outcomes to participants and translating findings to health care. (3) Drug trial beneficence. When considering drug trials, several people did not consider the potential benefits worth the risk of side effects, and some said they would need to consult with their doctor before agreeing to participate. (4) Altruism. Participants explained how the desire to help others was a motivating factor for participating in research and donating biological samples. (5) Research priorities. Participants described a need for better treatments that value their overall health and well-being. Findings indicate that researchers can center the perspectives of Black people with SLE across the research life cycle-beyond a focus on adequate racial diversity among study participants.
