Abstract
Natural killer (NK) cell based immunotherapy is an emerging strategy in hematologic malignancies because allogeneic NK cells can provide potent antitumor immunity without inducing graft-versus-host disease. Thus, we expanded cord blood-derived NK (CB-NK) cells ex vivo from random (MHC mismatched and KIR mismatched) donors, and investigate the feasibility and efficacy of repeated infusions CB-NK cells as maintenance therapy after autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT). Thirty-one patients with acute myeloid leukemia and high-risk lymphoma received ASCT and the adoptive CB-NK cell multiple infusions for maintenance therapy. Patients received a median dose of 5.98 × 107/kg (range, 1.87-17.69 × 107/kg) CB-NK cells and 23 patients completed four infusions, 8 patients received three infusions. Only mild infusion reactions occurred in 15.5% of 116 infusions. Compared to a contemporaneous cohort of 90 patients who did not receive NK cell therapy, the adoptive transfer of CB-NK cells as maintenance treatment showed a tendency of difference in decreasing the relapse rate between CB-NK group and control group (9.7% vs 24.4%). The patients who receiving NK cell infusions had a better PFS and OS than controls (4 year PFS, 84.4 ± 8.3% vs 73.5 ± 5.4%; and 4 year OS, 100% vs 78.1 ± 5.4%) . These findings demonstrate safety and validity of maintenance therapy using CB-NK cells multiple infusions after ASCT, and it is worthy of further clinical trial verification.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AIMS An optimal strategy for mobilizing hematopoietic stem cells in poorly mobilizing patients with multiple myeloma (MM) and lymphoma has not yet been determined. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed the efficacy and safety of etoposide combined with cytarabine (etoposide 75 mg/m2, daily d1∼2; Ara-C 300 mg/m2, every 12 h d1∼2), plus pegfilgrastim (6 mg d6) in 32 patients with MM or lymphoma, among whom 53.1% were defined as "proven poor mobilizers." RESULTS This approach resulted in adequate mobilization (≥2.0 × 106 CD34+ cells/kg) in 93.8% of patients and optimal mobilization (≥5.0 × 106 CD34+ cells/kg) in 71.9% of patients. A total of 100% of patients with MM reached at least 5 × 106 CD34+ cells/kg collected, the amount required for double autologous stem cell transplant. In total, 88.2% of patients with lymphoma reached at least 2 × 106 CD34+ cells/kg collected, the amount required for a single autologous stem cell transplant. This was achieved with a single leukapheresis in 78.1% of cases. A median peak number of 42.0/μL circulating CD34+ cells and a median number of blood CD34+ cells counts in 6.7 × 106/L were collected among 30 successful mobilizers. Approximately 6.3% of patients required plerixafor rescue, which was successful. Nine (28.1%) of the 32 patients suffered grade 2∼3 infections, and 50% required platelet transfusions. CONCLUSIONS We conclude that chemo-mobilization with etoposide, Ara-C and pegfilgrastim in poorly mobilizing patients with MM or lymphoma is very effective and has acceptable toxicity.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (r/r DLBCL) require highly individualized therapies. Limited information exists regarding inpatient treatment patterns, outcomes, resource-use, and costs from the perspective of third-party payers in Germany. The aim of this study was to collect and evaluate routine inpatient care data to fill aforementioned gaps. METHODS Retrospective single center observational study in a German tertiary teaching hospital. Data were collected from patient records, the hospital-pharmacy database, and claims data. RESULTS Eighty-four patients (47 male; mean age at initial diagnosis, 59 years) were identified and grouped by treatment line (L): 2L (n = 78), 3L (n = 32), and >3L (n = 12). Prescribed treatments in 2L were chemotherapy 56%, auto-SCT 31%, allo-SCT 1%, other 12%; 3L: 50%, 16%, 6%, 28%, respectively, and >3L: 42%, 0%, 33%, 25%, respectively. Mean number of hospital admissions and length of inpatient stay (days) were: 2L (4, 44), 3L (2, 26), and >3L (5, 63). Average cost/patient: 2L = 44,750€, 3L = 32,589€ and >3L = 88,668€. Mean treatment costs per patient for stem-cell-transplanted patients were 55,468€ for autologous SCT (n = 28) and 131,264€ for allogeneic SCT (n = 7). Documented death was 21%, 28%, and 41% for 2L, 3L, and >3L, respectively. CONCLUSION Individualized DLBCL treatment in patients ≥ 2L is costly and results in a huge variability in resource consumption. The number of documented deaths and length of hospitalization signal a high economic burden on patients and families. A multicenter comprehensive evaluation of health and economic burdens of r/r DLBCL and linkage with other data sources (eg, registries, payers' claims data) is essential.

Abstract
Purpose: In the present study, we mainly aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of 2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluoro-D-glucose ([18F]F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-SCT) in lymphoblastic lymphoma (LBL) patients using Deauville Scores (DS). Materials and Methods: A total of 63 LBL patients who benefited from 18F-FDG PET-CT after allo-SCT in our institution between April 2010 and August 2020 were enrolled in this retrospective study. These above-mentioned patients were divided into two groups based on the Deauville criteria. Diagnostic efficiency of 18F-FDG PET/CT and integrated CT in detecting lymphoma were calculated. Consistencies were evaluated by comparing 18F-FDG PET/CT and integrated CT results through kappa coefficient. Kaplan-Meier method was used in survival analysis, and the log-rank method was adopted in comparisons. Prognostic factor analysis was performed by the Cox regression model. Results: The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, accuracy of post-SCT 18F-FDG PET-CT were 100%(12/12), 92.2%(47/51), 75.0%(12/16), 100%(47/47) and 93.7%(59/63). The consistency of 18F-FDG PET-CT and integrated CT was moderate(Kappa = .702,P < .001). Positive post-SCT 18F-FDG PET-CT was associated with lower progression-free survival (PFS) but not overall survival (OS) (p = .000 and p = .056, respectively). The 3-year PFS of the PET-positive group and PET-negative group was 18.8% and 70.2%, respectively. Multivariate analysis showed that post-SCT PET-CT findings was an independent prognostic factor for PFS (p = .000; HR, 3.957; 95%CI, 1.839-8.514). Other factors independently affecting PFS were sex (p = .018; HR, 2.588; 95% CI, 1.181 − 5.670) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) (p = .005; HR, 3.246; 95% CI, 1.419 − 7.426). However, none of the above-mentioned factors were associated with OS. Conclusions: Collectively, we found that 18F-FDG PET-CT after allo-SCT was a strong indicator for PFS, but not OS, which might provide important evidence for the selection of subsequent treatment regimen for LBL patients. Abstract
BACKGROUND The outcomes of Hodgkin´s lymphoma (HL) in México have not been widely reported. Simplified and affordable treatments have been adopted in middle-income countries. AIM The aim was to evaluate long-used therapies for HL in México in a long-term basis. METHODS In a 34-year time period, 88 patients with HL were treated at a single institution in México. Patients were treated with adriamycin bleomycin vinblastine and dacarbazine (ABVD) or mechlorethamine, vincristine, procarbazine, and prednisone (MOPP). Relapsed or refractory patients were given ifosfamide, carboplatin, and etoposide (ICE) followed by autologous or allogeneic stem cell transplants. RESULTS Thirty-seven women and 51 men were included; the median age was 29 years. Patients were followed for a mean of 128 mo. The 310-mo overall survival (OS) was 83% for patients treated with MOPP and 88% for those treated with ABVD. The OS of patients who received autologous stem cell transplantation was 76% (330 mo) vs 93% (402 mo) in those who did not. CONCLUSION HL may be less aggressive in Mexican population than in Caucasians. Combined chemotherapy renders acceptable results, regardless of clinical stage.

Abstract
Patients with high-risk or relapsed aggressive B-cell lymphomas are characterized by poor prognosis. High-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) can induce durable remissions in these patients and is potentially curative. Two hundred forty-seven patients with aggressive B-cell lymphomas treated with high-dose chemotherapy and ASCT, either as consolidation after first-line therapy or after salvage therapy for relapsed disease, between 2002 and 2019 at the University Hospital Muenster, were analyzed. The median follow-up of surviving patients was 36 months (range 0–163). Progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) after 3 years was 63% and 68%, respectively. After ASCT, 28% of all patients experienced a relapse. The cumulative incidence of non-relapse mortality at day 100 after ASCT was 4%. Multivariate analysis identified remission status at ASCT, age at ASCT, and the numbers of infused CD34+ cells as independent prognostic factors for both PFS and OS. Patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) or primary CNS lymphoma (PCNSL) treated with ASCT in first-line had a superior OS and PFS when compared to patients treated with ASCT in relapsed disease. For patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), early relapse (< 12 months) after first-line therapy showed a trend towards an inferior PFS and OS. Deaths after ASCT were predominantly caused by lymphoma relapse and/or progression (64%) or due to infections (23%). In conclusion, high-dose chemotherapy followed by ASCT in the era of novel targeted agents remains a feasible and effective approach for patients with high-risk or relapsed aggressive B-cell lymphomas. Remission status and age at ASCT, and the number of infused stem cells were of prognostic relevance.
