Abstract
BACKGROUND Anticipatory chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is a conditioned response influenced by the severity and duration of previous emetic responses to chemotherapy. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of non-pharmacologic interventions for anticipatory CINV among patients with cancer. METHODS We conducted a systematic search in databases, including PubMed, the Cochrane Library, CINAHL, and Ichushi-Web, from January 1, 1990, to December 31, 2020. Randomized controlled trials, non-randomized designs, observational studies, or case-control studies that utilized non-pharmacological therapies were included. The primary outcomes were anticipatory CINV, with an additional investigation into adverse events and the costs of therapies. The risk-of-bias for each study was assessed using the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool, and meta-analysis was performed using Revman 5.4 software. RESULTS Of the 107 studies identified, six met the inclusion criteria. Three types of non-pharmacological treatments were identified: systematic desensitization (n = 2), hypnotherapy (n = 2), and yoga therapy (n = 2). Among them, systematic desensitization significantly improved anticipatory CINV as compared to that in the control group (nausea: risk ratio [RR] = 0.60, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.49-0.72, p < 0.00001; vomiting: RR = 0.54, 95% CI = 0.32-0.91, p = 0.02). However, heterogeneity in outcome measures precluded meta-analysis for hypnotherapy and yoga. Additionally, most selected studies had a high or unclear risk of bias, and adverse events were not consistently reported. CONCLUSIONS Our findings suggest that systematic desensitization may effectively reduce anticipatory CINV. However, further research is warranted before implementation in clinical settings.

Abstract
Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity (ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder which affects the day-to-day functioning of children and adults with this condition. Pharmacological treatment can reduce the symptoms associated with ADHD, but it has some limitations. The objective of this symposium is to determine the effects of non-pharmacological approaches on ADHD symptoms. Results indicate that the following intervention are promising approaches: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions (MBI), yoga, cognitive and metacognitive intervention, neurofeedback and parental training programs. Current research advocates multimodal approaches in conjunction with school or work accommodations integrating innovative technologies.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Integrated-pathy aims to integrate modern medicine with traditional systems via applying the holistic approach of Ayurveda, Yoga, and natural medicine. This is important for addressing the challenges surrounding the delivery of long-term palliative care for chronic ailments including cancer. The prime intent of this study was to substantiate the underlying hypothesis behind the differential and integrative approach having a positive impact on Quality of Life of cancer patients. STUDY DESIGN Cross-sectional Observational study. METHODS A standardized questionnaire was developed and used, after obtaining written informed consent from patients to assess the impact of Integrated-pathy on patients (n = 103) diagnosed with cancer receiving care at Patanjali Yoggram. The research was carried out over 8 months. All participants received a uniform treatment protocol as prescribed by Patanjali. For the sample size determination and validation, α and 1-β was calculated and for the significance of the pre- and post-treatment QoL ratings, Shapiro wilk test and other descriptive statistics techniques were explored. RESULTS A total of 103 patients seeking cancer special-healthcare were interviewed, out of which 39 (37.86%) remained finally based on the inclusion/exclusion criteria with age (25-65 years), types of cancers (Carcinoma and Sarcoma), chemotherapy/radiotherapy received or not, before opting Integrated-pathy. Follow-ups revealed a significant increase in the QoL (17.91%) after receiving the integrated therapy over a course of at least 1 month. Further, a significant reduction in cancer-related pain followed by an increase in QoL index was reported in the patients. Shapiro-wilk test revealed significant pairing (p < 0.001) with validation of the model using test. CONCLUSIONS To bolster evidence-based backing for Integrated-pathy, there is a need for clearly delineated clinical indicators that are measurable and trackable over time. Clinical investigators are encouraged to incorporate Integrated-pathy into their proposed interventions and conduct analogous studies to yield sustained advantages in the long run.

Abstract
This literature review presents a bibliometric analysis of the randomized controlled trials conducted between 2014 and 2023 on the potential benefits of yoga as a complementary therapy for cancer patients. To conduct this analysis, we searched medical and scientific databases, such as Scopus, Cochrane, and PubMed, using relevant keywords. Our search yielded 58 clinical trials involving 4,762 patients, which indicates a growing trend in this field of research. The studies we reviewed mainly focused on breast cancer patients and demonstrated the adaptability and versatility of yoga, offering a ray of hope and optimism. Among the various styles of yoga, Hatha yoga was the most frequently practiced style in these clinical trials. The analysis we conducted reveals that yoga interventions have a promising role in cancer care and can be a valuable complementary therapy for cancer patients. However, significant gaps and limitations still need to be addressed in this area of research. For instance, more rigorous and diverse investigations are needed to further establish the potential benefits of yoga interventions for cancer patients. Additionally, the standardization of yoga interventions is crucial to optimize therapeutic benefits. By addressing these gaps and limitations, we can further enhance the potential of yoga as a complementary therapy for cancer patients.

Results: A total of 103 patients seeking cancer special-healthcare were interviewed, out of which 39 (37.86%) were selected based on the inclusion/exclusion criteria with age (25-65 years), period of Integrated-pathy received (≥1 months), allopathic treatment received prior to opting for Integrated-pathy. Results revealed a significant increase in the QoL (17.91%) after receiving the integrated therapy over a course of at least one month. Further, a significant reduction in cancer related pain followed by an increase in QoL index was reported in the patients. Wilcoxon rank test revealed significant pairing (p<0.0001) with validation of the model using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.
Conclusions: In order to enhance evidence-based support to the Integrated-pathy, well-defined clinical indicators that can be assessed and monitored over time are required. Clinical researchers should add Integrated-pathy into their proposed interventions and undertake similar studies to provide long-term benefits.

Abstract
Background Inflammatory markers play a substantial role in the prognosis of breast cancer (BC). Studies have been conducted, evaluating the effect of yoga intervention (YI) on inflammatory biomarkers among BC cases. This systematic review consolidates the outcome of YI in the cancer microenvironment. Objective The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of YI in the cancer microenvironment among BC women. Materials and Methods This review was conducted from May 2021 to December 2021. The inclusion criteria were experimental studies on adult BC cases with isolated YI. Studies conducted among paediatrics, case reports and case series were excluded from the study. Medline (PubMed), Medline (Ovid), Web of Science (WOS), Scopus, CINAHL and Cochrane Central databases were searched. The data were restricted from January 2000 to December 2021 with studies published in English. 'The Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool' was mobilised to evaluate the quality of the included studies. Results A total of nine studies met the inclusion criteria and comprised a sample size of 905 BC cases with a mean age of 50.26±8.27 years. Three studies evaluated tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and INTERLEUKIN (IL)-6, where two studies on TNF-α and one on IL-6 favoured the YI group. A study investigated soluble TNF receptor II (TNF-RII) and another on IL-1beta (IL-1β) has shown improved levels post-YI. A downward trend of cortisol levels was noted in four out of five studies. Two studies that examined the C-reactive protein and a study on IL-8 did not show any difference between the YI and the control groups. Conclusion This review's findings showed the downregulation of cortisol, markers of inflammation; TNF-α, IL-6, TNF-RII and IL-1β immediately to post-YI. Heterogeneities in terms of YIs, number of days of practice, duration and training received and the grade of BC cases are the concern of this review. However, YI can be considered a supportive therapy for BC.

Abstract
Abstract
Objective
This review aimed to map and summarize published studies that tested non-pharmacological management for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV).
Methods
We searched for eligible studies in 5 electronic databases and screened the retrieved studies using the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were then collated according to the types of interventions, measurement tool, and outcomes.
Results
The search yielded 2343 records, of which 11 were included. Four categories of non-pharmacological CINV management were made; manipulative and body-based therapy (n = 5 studies); mind–body therapy (n = 3 studies); biologically based practice (n = 1 study), and energy therapy (n = 2 studies). Seven different scales were used to measure CINV. Nine studies reported improvement in CINV.
Conclusions
This scoping review demonstrates the breadth of non-pharmacological management to address CINV. Various types of CINV scales were used to measure CINV severity. The management and scale can be utilized to improve nursing care, particularly in cancer care.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Effects of exercise in patients with breast cancer have been thoroughly investigated. The aim was to explore differences in effects regarding type, delivery mode and extensiveness (e.g. intensity; volume) of the interventions. METHODS We searched for randomised controlled trials including patients with breast cancer receiving systemic treatment, exercise-based interventions, and measures on patient reported- and objectively measured outcomes. RESULTS Exercise showed significant and moderate effects on the primary outcomes quality of life and physical function, Standardised Mean Difference: 0.52 (95 % CI 0.38-0.65) and 0.52 (95 % CI 0.38-0.66), respectively. Type of exercise had little influence on the effects, however combined aerobic- and resistance exercise seemed superior for increasing physical function, compared to aerobic or resistance exercise. Supervised interventions were superior to partly and unsupervised. Extensiveness of the intervention only influenced physical function. Abstract
Background Nausea and vomiting are considered the most common side effects of chemotherapy, and they can affect different dimensions of the lives of women with breast cancer. Thus, the management of these complications is of great significance. Various interventions are drawn upon to alleviate nausea and vomiting. This review aimed to investigate the effects of psychological interventions on chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting among women with breast cancer. Methods A systematic review of clinical or quasi-experimental clinical trials published from 2000 to 2020 on the effects of psychological interventions on nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy in women with breast cancer was conducted via a comprehensive search in web search engines including Google Scholar and PubMed and databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Cochrane Library, Springer, Elsevier, Magiran, and Scientific Information Database (SID). Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) was employed with the following keywords: nausea, vomiting, breast cancer, chemotherapy, and psychological intervention. The quality of the included studies was assessed via the Jadad scale. Results Nine studies were included in this systematic review. Psychological interventions in chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting in women with breast cancer consisted of cognitive-behavioral therapy, progressive muscle relaxation training, yoga, and guided imagery. The results indicated that in all the studies, except one, the interventions improved conditions and reduced chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. Conclusion The results of this study indicated that psychological interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, progressive muscle relaxation training, guided imagery, and yoga alleviated nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy in women with breast cancer. Therefore, it is recommended that these interventions be applied by healthcare providers to ameliorate nausea and vomiting in these patients.The abstract was presented in the 15th International Congress on Obstetrics and Gynecology, Tehran, Iran, 8-11 October 2019, as a poster and published in the congress book.

Abstract
Because yoga is increasingly recognized as a complementary approach to cancer symptom management, patients/survivors and providers need to understand its potential benefits and limitations both during and after treatment. The authors reviewed randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of yoga conducted at these points in the cancer continuum (N = 29; n = 13 during treatment, n = 12 post-treatment, and n = 4 with mixed samples). Findings both during and after treatment demonstrated the efficacy of yoga to improve overall quality of life (QOL), with improvement in subdomains of QOL varying across studies. Fatigue was the most commonly measured outcome, and most RCTs conducted during or after cancer treatment reported improvements in fatigue. Results also suggested that yoga can improve stress/distress during treatment and post-treatment disturbances in sleep and cognition. Several RCTs provided evidence that yoga may improve biomarkers of stress, inflammation, and immune function. Outcomes with limited or mixed findings (eg, anxiety, depression, pain, cancer-specific symptoms, such as lymphedema) and positive psychological outcomes (such as benefit-finding and life satisfaction) warrant further study. Important future directions for yoga research in oncology include: enrolling participants with cancer types other than breast, standardizing self-report assessments, increasing the use of active control groups and objective measures, and addressing the heterogeneity of yoga interventions, which vary in type, key components (movement, meditation, breathing), dose, and delivery mode.
