Abstract
To explore the feasibility and application value of texture analysis based on computed tomography (CT) for predicting the differentiation of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Patients diagnosed with ESCC who underwent chest contrast-enhanced CT before treatment were selected. Based on the pathological results, the patients were stratified into poorly differentiated and moderately well-differentiated groups. FireVoxel software was used to analyze the region of interest based on venous phase CT images. Texture parameters including the mean, median, standard deviation (SD), inhomogeneity, skewness, kurtosis, and entropy were obtained automatically. Differences in the texture parameters and their relationship with the degree of differentiation between the 2 groups were analyzed. The value of CT texture parameters in identifying poor differentiation and moderate-well differentiation of esophageal cancer was analyzed using the ROC curve. A total of 48 patients with ESCC were included, including 24 patients in the poorly differentiated group and 24 patients in the moderate-well-differentiated group. There were negative correlations between SD, inhomogeneity, entropy, and the degree of differentiation of esophageal cancer (P < .05). The correlation of inhomogeneity was the highest (r = -0.505, P < .001). SD, inhomogeneity, and entropy could effectively distinguish between the poorly and moderately well-differentiated groups, with statistically significant differences between the 2 groups (P < .05). The best critical values for SD, inhomogeneity, and entropy were 17.538, 0.017, and 3.917, respectively. The areas under the ROC curve were 0.793, 0.792, and 0.729, respectively, with the SD and inhomogeneity being the best. The application of texture analysis on venous phase CT images holds promise as a method for forecasting the degree of differentiation in esophageal cancers, which could significantly contribute to the preoperative noninvasive evaluation of tumor differentiation.

Abstract
Cervical cancer (CC) is a gynecological neoplasm with the highest incidence rate, primarily attributed to the persistent infection of high-risk Human papillomavirus (HPV). Despite extensive research, the pathogenesis of CC remains unclear. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation, the most prevalent form of epigenetic modification in RNA, is intricately linked to cell proliferation, metastasis, metabolism, and therapeutic resistance within the tumor microenvironment (TME) of CC. The involvement of the writer, reader, and eraser in m6A modification impacts the advancement of tumors through the regulation of RNA stability, nuclear export, translation efficiency, and RNA degradation. Here, we discuss the biogenesis of m6A, the atypical expressions of m6A regulators, the mechanisms of molecular interactions, and their functions in CC. Furthermore, we elucidate m6A modification of non-coding RNA. In the context of precision medicine, and with the advancements of genomics, proteomics, and high-throughput sequencing technologies, we summarize the application of m6A in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of CC. Additionally, new perspectives on detection methods, immune regulation, and nano-drug development are presented, which lay the foundation for further research of m6A and provide new ideas for the clinical treatment of CC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Telomere length (TL) is a biomarker for biological aging, and the initial setting of TL at birth is a determinant factor of TL in later life. Newborn TL is sensitive to maternal metals concentrations, while study about the association between maternal manganese (Mn) concentrations and newborn TL was not found. Our study aimed to investigate whether newborn TL is related to maternal Mn concentrations. METHODS Data were collected from a birth cohort study of 762 mother-newborn pairs conducted from November 2013 to March 2015 in Wuhan, China. We measured the Mn concentrations in spot urine samples collected during three trimesters by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and relative cord blood TL by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). We applied multiple informant models to investigate the associations between maternal Mn concentrations and cord blood TL. RESULTS The geometric mean of creatinine-corrected urinary Mn concentrations were 1.58 μg/g creatinine, 2.53 μg/g creatinine, and 2.62 μg/g creatinine in the first, second, and third trimester, respectively. After adjusting for potential confounders, a doubling of maternal urinary Mn concentration during the second trimester was related to a 2.10% (95% CI: 0.25%, 3.99%) increase in cord blood TL. Mothers with the highest tertile of urinary Mn concentrations during the second trimester had a 9.67% (95% CI: 2.13%, 17.78%) longer cord blood TL than those with the lowest tertile. This association was more evident in male infants. No relationship was found between maternal urinary Mn concentrations and cord blood TL during the first and third trimesters in our study. CONCLUSIONS Our findings suggested that maternal Mn concentration during the second trimester was positively associated with newborn TL. These results might provide an epidemiology evidence on the protective role of maternal Mn for newborn TL and offer clues for the early prevention of telomere shortening related diseases.

Effect of maternal body mass index on neonatal outcomes in women with endometriosis undergoing IVF. Reprod Biomed Online 2020; 40:559-567. Abstract
RESEARCH QUESTION Does preconception body mass index (BMI) affect neonatal outcomes in women with endometriosis who conceive with IVF? DESIGN This retrospective study included 7086 women who delivered a singleton live birth through IVF between December 2006 and December 2017. Of these, 1111 women were diagnosed with endometriosis by laparoscopy or laparotomy, while 5975 women received IVF treatment due to tubal factor or male factor infertility. Women were categorized according to predefined BMI groups (<18.5 kg/m2, BMI 18.5-24.9 kg/m2, ≥25 kg/m2). All comparisons performed were between women undergoing cryopreserved embryo transfer. RESULTS After stratification by BMI, underweight women with endometriosis showed higher preterm birth (PTB) rates compared with controls (14.61% versus 3.28%, P < 0.001), whereas normal weight and overweight/obese endometriotic women had similar PTB rates to controls. There was a significant interactive effect of endometriosis and maternal BMI on preterm delivery (P for interaction <0.05). After adjustment for potential confounding factors, the PTB rate remained consistently higher in the low BMI subgroup of women with endometriosis (adjusted odds ratio 4.66, 95% confidence interval 2.54-8.57), whereas this difference was not observed for the other BMI categories. Additionally, we noted no differences in the rate of early PTB, low birthweight, macrosomia, small for gestational age and large for gestational age between women with endometriosis and controls with respect to any preconception category of BMI. CONCLUSIONS Endometriotic patients who were underweight before conception (BMI <18.5 kg/m2) had a higher rate of PTB than women without endometriosis, but the difference was not observed in the other BMI categories.
