Abstract
This study investigated barriers and facilitators to mental health service use (e.g., interventions, educational programs) in caregivers of children with neurodevelopmental disorders and/or neurodevelopmental problems, as they experience high levels of distress and low help-seeking behaviour. Caregivers of children aged 0 to 12 with neurodevelopmental disorders and/or neurodevelopmental problems (N = 78) completed a mixed-method online survey about their mental health and service use. Caregiver-reported psychological distress and mental health service use were positively correlated. Most participants (66.2%) were above the clinical cut-off score for anxiety, depression, or caregiving stress; of these participants, 45.7% had not accessed mental health services for themselves within the past year. Lack of time and difficulties arranging childcare were noted barriers; patient-oriented suggestions for service improvement were provided. The findings add novel information on factors to increase mental health service use in this population. Recommendations for clinical practice for those practitioners who provide services for children with neurodevelopmental disorders and/or neurodevelopmental problems are included.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate a French version of the Barriers to Access to Care Evaluation (BACE-3) scale that is tailored to the socio-cultural and language setting of the study. METHODS The translation of the BACE-3 into French and its validation were the two key components of this psychometric investigation. An online survey was created and circulated to French-speaking participants who volunteered to participate in the study. RESULTS For all translated questions, the reliability analysis key results (Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's Omega) were both>0.95, which is an excellent reliability value. The BACE-3 items were shown to be positively related to one another, implying excellent validity. Results of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses showed that all stigma-related items were loaded under the same factor. CONCLUSIONS The BACE-3 has been validated in French, and its psychometric qualities have been thoroughly evaluated and found to be excellent.

Abstract
Background Mental disorders, characterized as products of biopsychosocial interactions, have emerged as a leading contributor to the worldwide rise in overall morbidity and disability rates. Life's essentials can affect nearly every aspect of our lives, from physical to mental health. In this study, we try to identify the associations between life's essentials and mental disorders. Method Three assumptions of Mendelian randomization (MR) were applied to obtain the genetic instruments associated with smoking, sleep, and body mass index (BMI) in genome-wide association studies. Then, we conducted univariable MR (UVMR) and multivariable MR (MVMR) two-sample analyses to estimate the causal effects of these life's essentials on two mental disorders namely, major depressive disorder (MDD) and bipolar disorder (BD). Additionally, multiple sensitivity analyses were performed to evaluate the reliability and stability of the study results. Results In the MR analysis of the association of smoking, sleep, and BMI with MDD, we obtained 78, 39, and 302 genetic instruments, respectively. Smoking [odds ratio (OR), 1.03; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.01-1.06; p = 0.004], sleep (OR, 1.04; 95% CI, 1.02-1.06; p < 0.001), and BMI (OR, 1.01; 95% CI, 1.01-1.02; p < 0.001) were all considered as risk factors for MDD and were independent of each other (smoking: OR, 1.03, 95% CI, 1.01-1.06, p = 0.008; sleep: OR, 1.03, 95% CI, 1.01-1.05, p = 0.001; and BMI: OR, 1.01, 95% CI, 1.01-1.02, p < 0.001). Additionally, 78, 38, and 297 genetic instruments were obtained in the MR analysis of smoking, sleep, and BMI with BD, respectively. Causal associations were observed between smoking (OR, 2.46; 95% CI, 1.17-5.15; p = 0.017), sleep (OR, 2.73; 95% CI, 1.52-4.92; p < 0.001), and BD, and smoking (OR, 2.43; 95% CI, 1.69-3.16; p = 0.018) might be a mediator in the causal effects of sleep on BD. Finally, there was no inconsistency between sensitivity and causality analysis, proving that our results are convincing. Conclusion The study results provide strong evidence that smoking, sleep, and BMI are causally related to MDD and BD, which need further research to clarify the underlying mechanism.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Most individuals with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome (22q11DS) have multi-system and lifelong needs requiring substantial support. Their primary caregivers are usually family members who dedicate lifelong time and effort to their role. The pressures of their roles can negatively impact caregivers' psychosocial well-being, suggesting a need for additional support for this community who currently have no specialised interventions available. METHOD This online study surveyed 103 caregivers of family members with 22q11DS to determine the barriers to accessing support that they faced, the kind of support they would value and whether an online intervention could meet their needs. RESULTS The caregivers indicated that a brief online intervention focused on teaching practical skills and connecting them with a peer network of support would be most valuable. CONCLUSIONS Future studies are planned that will build on these results by designing and testing online interventions tailored to this community.
