Abstract
Hesperidin (Hsd), a bioactive phytomedicine, experienced an antidiabetic activity versus both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes mellitus. However, its intrinsic poor solubility and bioavailability is a key challenging obstacle reflecting its oral delivery. From such perspective, the purpose of the current study was to prepare and evaluate Hsd-loaded sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin/chitosan nanoparticles (Hsd/CD/CS NPs) for improving the hypoglycemic activity of the orally administered Hsd. Hsd was first complexed with sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin (SBE-β-CD) and the complex (CX) was found to be formed with percent complexation efficiency and percent process efficiency of 50.53 ± 1.46 and 84.52 ± 3.16%, respectively. Also, solid state characterization of the complex ensured the inclusion of Hsd inside the cavity of SBE-β-CD. Then, Hsd/CD/CS NPs were prepared using the ionic gelation technique. The prepared NPs were fully characterized to select the most promising one (F1) with a homogenous particle size of 455.7 ± 9.04 nm, a positive zeta potential of + 32.28 ± 1.12 mV, and an entrapment efficiency of 77.46 ± 0.39%. The optimal formula (F1) was subjected to further investigation of in vitro release, ex vivo intestinal permeation, stability, cytotoxicity, and in vivo hypoglycemic activity. The results of the release and permeation studies of F1 manifested a modulated pattern between Hsd and CX. The preferential stability of F1 was observed at 4 ± 1 °C. Also, the biocompatibility of F1 with oral epithelial cell line (OEC) was retained up to a concentration of 100 µg/mL. After oral administration of F1, a noteworthy synergistic hypoglycemic effect was recorded with decreased blood glucose level until the end of the experiment. In conclusion, Hsd/CD/CS NPs could be regarded as a hopeful oral delivery system of Hsd with enhanced antidiabetic activity.

Simultaneous effect of different chromatographic conditions on the chromatographic retention of pentapeptide derivatives (HGRFG and NPNPT). Front Chem 2023; 11:1171824. Abstract
Introduction: Oligopeptides exhibit great prospects for clinical application and its separation is of great importance in new drug development. Methods: To accurately predict the retention of pentapeptides with analogous structures in chromatography, the retention times of 57 pentapeptide derivatives in seven buffers at three temperatures and four mobile phase compositions were measured via reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. The parameters ( k H A , k A , and p K a ) of the acid-base equilibrium were obtained by fitting the data corresponding to a sigmoidal function. We then studied the dependence of these parameters on the temperature (T), organic modifier composition (φ, methanol volume fraction), and polarity ( P m N parameter). Finally, we proposed two six-parameter models with (1) pH and T and (2) pH and φ or P m N as the independent variables. These models were validated for their prediction capacities by linearly fitting the predicted retention factor k-value and the experimental k-value. Results: The results showed that log k H A and log k A exhibited linear relationships with 1 / T , φ or P m N for all pentapeptides, especially for the acid pentapeptides. In the model of pH and T, the correlation coefficient (R2) of the acid pentapeptides was 0.8603, suggesting a certain prediction capability of chromatographic retention. Moreover, in the model of pH and φ or P m N , the R2 values of the acid and neutral pentapeptides were greater than 0.93, and the average root mean squared error was approximately 0.3, indicating that the k-values could be effectively predicted. Discussion: In summary, the two six-parameter models were appropriate to characterize the chromatographic retention of amphoteric compounds, especially the acid or neutral pentapeptides, and could predict the chromatographic retention of pentapeptide compounds.

Abstract
Entrepreneurial role models are the forerunners on the path to entrepreneurship for college students, and they play a significant role in influencing college students’ entrepreneurship decisions. Entrepreneurship education in schools is an important tool for college students to develop entrepreneurial knowledge, ingenuity, and abilities. The main approach of building fuzzy systems is fuzzy integrated assessment, and it has a broad range of applications, including expert evaluation systems, quality control, performance assessment, weather forecasting, medical diagnosis, economic management, and psychological measurement. This research designs a fuzzy integrated evaluation system of university students’ entrepreneurial education using the environment, teaching process, and instructors’ team as the first-level indicators on the premise of defining the connotation of inventive and entrepreneurial skills. The article also uses the fuzzy integrated assessment method to conduct an empirical study and proposes countermeasures for the quality of innovative and entrepreneurial talents cultivation in terms of creating a good innovation environment in universities and encouraging students to actively participate in various innovative and entrepreneurial activities. The experimental results show that the half confidence of the fuzzy integrated assessment algorithm is 0.657, the retest confidence is 0.991, and the standard deviation of the
coefficient among all the test subjects is 0.683, which indicates that it has good confidence. Therefore, the fuzzy integrated assessment method of college students’ entrepreneurial education in this study is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, which expresses and processes the subjective judgment of human in quantitative form, minimizes the drawbacks brought by personal subjective judgment, and makes the evaluation results more credible.
