Abstract
The prospective contribution of phyto-nanotechnology to the synthesis of silver nanomaterials for biomedical purposes is attracting increasing interest across the world. Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) through plants has been extensively examined recently, and it is now seen to be a green and efficient path for future exploitation and development of practical nano-factories. Fabrication of Ag-NPs is the process involves use of plant extracts/phyto-compounds (e.g.alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, and phenolic compounds) to synthesise nanoparticles in more economical and feasible. Several findings concluded that in the field of medicine, Ag-NPs play a major role in pharmacotherapy (infection and cancer). Indeed, they exhibits novel properties but the reason is unclear (except some theoretical interpretation e.g. size, shape and morphology). But recent technological advancements help to address these questions by predicting the unique properties (composition and origin) by characterizing physical, chemical and biological properties. Due to increased list of publications and their application in the field of agriculture, industries and pharmaceuticals, issues relating to toxicity are unavoidable and question of debate. The present reviews aim to find out the role of plant extracts to synthesise Ag-NPs. It provides an overview of various phytocompounds and their role in the field of biomedicine (antibacterial, antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory etc.). In addition, this review also especially focused on various applications such as role in infection, oxidative stress, application in medical engineering, diagnosis and therapy, medical devices, orthopedics, wound healing and dressings. Additionally, the toxic effects of Ag-NPs in cell culture, tissue of different model organism, type of toxic reactions and regulation implemented to reduce associated risk are discussed critically. Addressing all above explanations, this review focus on the detailed properties of plant mediated Ag-NPs, its impact on biology, medicine and their commercial properties as well as toxicity.

Abstract
Somatic embryogenesis is an essential technology for high productivity in plant culture, and with the advent of nanotechnology, the synergism between these areas could be the answer to developing concepts involving Agriculture 4.0. This perspective permeates both areas, presenting the opportunities and challenges for the consolidation of ideas involving the application of nanoparticles to micropropagation processes (callus induction, preservation, growing, and modification, among others) and also to the production of byproducts (such as biosynthesis of nanoparticles and production of secondary metabolites). Nanotoxicological aspects are also emphasized as well as up-to-date instrumentation involved in these studies.

In vitro somatic embryo productions from Curculigo orchioides derived gold nanoparticles: Synthesis, characterization, its biomedical applications, and their eco-friendly approaches to degradation of methylene blue under solar light irradiations. ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH 2023; 216:114774. Abstract
Curculigo orchioides rhizome explants were employed to develop a rapid and effective strategy for increased plant regeneration using somatic embryogenesis. Direct somatic embryo development was shown on rhizome explants cultivated on Murashige and Skoog (MS) making with 2, 4-D (1.0-3.0 mg/L). Rhizome explants cultivated on MS media supplemented with 2.0 mg/L 2, 4-D yielded the highest frequency of embryogenesis (87.5%) and the maximum number of somatic embryos (1596.7/explant). Somatic embryo germination was accomplished using MS media with 2.0 mg/L 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP). With an 80% survival rate, the germination plantlets were acclimated in the greenhouse. The current study is the first evidence of the efficacy of in vitro-produced plants and C. orchioides somatic embryo callus cultures of stable gold nanoparticles. The UV-Vis spectrophotometric absorbance, at 510 nm, revealed the absorption spectra of the AuNPs. The FT-IR revealed functional groups and reaction processes in green AuNP formation. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) was used to assess the surface morphology and structure of the AuNPs after their elemental composition was determined using a dispersive energy X-ray (EDAX) spectrum. The average size of AuNPs was around 35 nm in diameter. The crystalline nature of the AuNPs was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The highest growth inhibition was found for C. orcthioides against Klebsiella pneumoniae (17.5 mm) and Serratia marcescens (16.5 mm). The AuNPs exhibited antioxidant activity against free radicals such as DPPH and ABTS. Furthermore, the cytotoxicity of AuNPs was assessed, and inhibitory concentration (IC50) was 20 μg/mL and 80 μg/mL for breast carcinoma (MDA-MB-231) and Vero cell lines. The degradation of methylene blue measures the photocatalytic activity of the manufactured AuNPs when subjected to visible sunlight (MB). Thus, the result showed a maximum degradation efficiency of MB (84%).

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Thespesia populnea Bark Extract for Efficient Removal of Methylene Blue (MB) Degradation via Photocatalysis with Antimicrobial Activity and for Anticancer Activity. Bioinorg Chem Appl 2022; 2022:7268273. Abstract
The green synthesis method was used to effectively fabricate Ag-NPs by using Thespesia populnea bark extract. The structural, morphological, elemental composition, and optical properties of as-synthesized Ag-NPs were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (P-XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Their photocatalytic efficiency as a photocatalyst was examined by degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye under direct sunlight irradiation. After 120 minutes of sunlight irradiation, Ag-NPs show photocatalytic degradation efficiency (DE percent) of 92%. The hydroxyl and superoxide radicals were found to be responsible for biodegradation. To the best of our acquaintance, this is the first research to use Ag-NPs as a photocatalyst for the efficient degradation of MB dye and its antimicrobial activity by using Thespesia populnea bark extract. The cytotoxic viability against SK-MEL cell line with a median inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 45 μL/mg proved its potent anticancer property. Based on the findings, the study revealed the significance of as-synthesized green Ag-NPs over other physically/chemically prepared Ag-NPs.
