Abstract
BACKGROUND Trousseau syndrome (TS) is relatively rare and easily overlooked by clinicians, causing misdiagnosis and affecting subsequent treatment. OBJECTIVE In this study, clinical features, laboratory examination, imaging features, treatment, and prognosis of patients with TS were discussed. METHODS AND MATERIAL From February 2018 to April 2022, cases of 21 patients with malignant tumors complicated by acute ischemic stroke (AIS) were admitted to the Neurology Department of the hospital, and were retrospectively analyzed and discussed based on the literature. RESULTS Twenty-one cases were included in the study. Of these, 95.23% (20/21) developed AIS 6-21 months after the onset of malignant tumors, 9.52% (2/21) had ischemic stroke as the first symptom, 4.76% (1/21) had recurrent ischemic stroke, and 14.29% (3/21) subsequently experienced venous and arterial thrombosis events; 80.95% (17/21) were pathologically confirmed to have adenocarcinoma; and 90.47% (19/21) of infarction cases involved multiple blood vessel feeding sites. MRI showed multiregional, multifocal patchy infarcts. D-dimer concentration was higher than normal in all patients. In addition, 61.90% (13/21) of the patients had poor outcomes according to mRS. CONCLUSION TS is a rare clinical type. It is often associated with adenocarcinoma, and the treatment is different from that of conventional cerebral infarction and the prognosis is very poor. In clinical practice, for AIS of unknown cause, if MRI shows multiple small lesions accompanied by a significant increase in D-dimer, routine screening for latent malignant tumors is recommended.

Abstract
Ischemic stroke (IS) is a prevalent form of stroke and a leading cause of mortality and disability. Recently, cell membrane-derived nanovehicles (CMNVs) derived from erythrocytes, thrombocytes, neutrophils, macrophages, neural stem cells, and cancer cells have shown great promise as drug delivery systems for IS treatment. By precisely controlling drug release rates and targeting specific sites in the brain, CMNVs enable the reduction in drug dosage and minimization of side effects, thus significantly enhancing therapeutic strategies and approaches for IS. While there are some reviews regarding the applications of CMNVs in the treatment of IS, there has been limited attention given to important aspects such as carrier construction, structural design, and functional modification. Therefore, this review aims to address these key issues in CMNVs preparation, structural composition, modification, and other relevant aspects, with a specific focus on targeted therapy for IS. Finally, the challenges and prospects in this field are discussed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Circular RNAs (circRNA) have been reported to be involved in the progression of cerebral infarction. The purpose of this study was to reveal the role and potential molecular mechanism of circZfp609 (mmu_circ_0001797) in cerebral infarction. METHODS C57BL/6J mice was used to construct middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) mice model, and primary mouse astrocytes were treated with oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion (OGD/R) process. The circZfp609, microRNA (miR)-145a-5p and BTB and CNC homology 1 (BACH1) expression levels were detected by quantitative real-time PCR. Cell proliferation and apoptosis were assessed by cell counting kit 8 assay, EdU assay and flow cytometry. Western blot analysis was used to measure protein levels, and ELISA assay was utilized to detect the levels of inflammation factors. Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) level was measured by LDH Assay Kit. Dual-luciferase reporter assay, RIP assay and RNA pull-down assay were used to evaluate RNA interaction. RESULTS CircZfp609 was upregulated in MCAO mice and OGD/R-induced astrocytes. Knockdown of circZfp609 promoted cell proliferation, while suppressed apoptosis and inflammation in OGD/R-induced astrocytes. CircZfp609 served as a sponge for miR-145a-5p, and miR-145a-5p inhibitor reversed the regulation of circZfp609 knockdown on OGD/R-induced astrocyte injury. BACH1 was a target of miR-145a-5p, and its overexpression abolished the inhibition effect of miR-145a-5p on OGD/R-induced astrocyte injury. Besides, circZfp609 downregulation also relieved the brain injury of MCAO mice through miR-145a-5p/BACH1 axis. CONCLUSION Our data showed that circZfp609 might promote cerebral infarction by regulating the miR-145a-5p/BACH1 pathway.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Rehabilitation nursing is considered an indispensable part of the cerebral infarction treatment system. The hospital–community–family trinity rehabilitation nursing model can provide continuous nursing services across hospitals, communities, and families for patients.
AIM To explore the application of a hospital–community–family rehabilitation nursing model combined with motor imagery therapy in patients with cerebral infarction.
METHODS From January 2021 to December 2021, 88 patients with cerebral infarction were divided into a study (n = 44) and a control (n = 44) group using a simple random number table. The control group received routine nursing and motor imagery therapy. The study group was given hospital–community–family trinity rehabilitation nursing based on the control group. Motor function (FMA), balance ability (BBS), activities of daily living (BI), quality of life (SS-QOL), activation status of the contralateral primary sensorimotor cortical area to the affected side, and nursing satisfaction were evaluated before and after intervention in both groups.
RESULTS Before intervention, FMA and BBS were similar (P > 0.05). After 6 months’ intervention, FMA and BBS were significantly higher in the study than in the control group (both P < 0.05). Before intervention, BI and SS-QOL scores were not different between the study and control group (P > 0.05). However, after 6 months’ intervention, BI and SS-QOL were higher in the study than in the control group (P < 0.05). Before intervention, activation frequency and volume were similar between the study and the control group (P > 0.05). After 6 months’ intervention, the activation frequency and volume were higher in the study than in the control group (P < 0.05). The reliability, empathy, reactivity, assurance, and tangibles scores for quality of nursing service were higher in the study than in the control group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION Combining a hospital–community–family trinity rehabilitation nursing model and motor imagery therapy enhances the motor function and balance ability of patients with cerebral infarction, improving their quality of life.

Abstract
Purpose The goal of this study was to see if electroacupuncture was effective and safe in the management of cerebral infarction. PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were used to conduct a comprehensive literature survey. Methods Basic features of 7 studies were identified using the searching strategy. The investigation was found in PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science, with the most recent search being in March 2022. "Electroacupuncture," "cerebral infarction," and their permutations were among the MeSH terms and free words used. As literature, two reviewers independently used a standardized form to gather pertinent data from qualifying research. Results 157 literatures were identified and evaluated. Electroacupuncture improved the BI score in individuals with cerebral infarction (mean difference = 0.10, 95 percent CI: 0.00-0.20, p = 0.04). Electroacupuncture enhanced BI score in individuals with cerebral infarction (mean difference = 0.10, 95 percent CI: 0.00-0.20, p = 0.04). The effects of electroacupuncture increased Fugl-Meyer index in patients with cerebral infarction (mean difference = 25.92, 95% CI: 25.28-26.56, p < 0.00001). Electroacupuncture effects decreased CSS in patients with cerebral infarction in the experiment group (mean difference = -2.10, 95% CI: -2.53--1.67, p < 0.0001). Electroacupuncture also reduced CSS individuals with cerebral infarction in the control group; however, there was no statistically significant (risk difference = 0.06, 95 percent CI: 0.02-0.13, p = 0.12). Conclusion This study demonstrated that electroacupuncture helped decreased CSS in patients with cerebral infarction.

Abstract
Valve vegetation is one of the most fearful findings for physicians. The first diagnosis that comes to their mind is infective endocarditis (IE), but it can also be noninfective; nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis (NBTE). NBTE can be even more challenging than IE for physicians because of the wide range of differential diagnoses such as malignancies, autoimmune disorders and human immunodeficiency virus. A 45-year-old woman presented at the emergency room with a sudden onset of dysarthria and right-sided hemiplegia. Laboratory data showed her blood counts and coagulation test were mostly normal and the magnetic resonance imaging detected a high-signal-intensity change in her left brain. An echocardiogram found a vegetation-like structure on her atrial valve. We highly suspected IE leading to cerebral embolism. The clot was successfully removed by our neurosurgeons and anticoagulation therapy was started concurrently. Her state of consciousness improved, but then she suffered a brain hemorrhage and died. The autopsy revealed that the cause of her vegetation was acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). Based on these findings, it is important to remember that APL can be the cause of NBTE even if the blood count and coagulation tests are almost normal.
