Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to produce a valid and reliable Persian version of the Rapid Assessment of Physical Activity (RAPA) questionnaire, which previously has been shown to be valid and reliable for assessing physical activity among older adults. METHODS Permission was obtained from the scale developer, who provided a copy of the the Linguistic Validation of the RAPA Qestionnaire, which utilizes a forward-backward translation methodology. Content validity, face validity, and construct validity of the questionnaire were then determined. Comparison of known groups (older adults with more or less than 50% balance confidence) was used to assess construct validity and the Leiden-Padua (LEIPAD) quality of life questionnaire were used to assess convergent validity. Three hundred older adults, who were members of the Qom retirement centers, participated in the study. Thirty participants completed the RAPA twice with a one-week interval to determine test-retest reliability. RESULTS Results of comparisons of known groups showed that the mean RAPA score of the older people with greater balance confidence was significantly higher. Significant correlations between most of the scores obtained from both RAPA and the LEIPAD questionnaires confirmed the convergent validity of the questionnaire. Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) was as high as 0.94 showing that the test-retest reliability was good. CONCLUSION This study showed the Persian RAPA is a reliable and valid instrument for measuring physical activity among older individuals in both research and clinical contexts.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In manufacturing industries, tasks requiring poor posture, high repetition, and long duration commonly induce fatigue and lead to an increased risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Smart devices assessing biomechanics and providing feedback to the worker for correction may be a successful way to increase postural awareness, reducing fatigue, and work-related musculoskeletal disorders. However, evidence in industrial settings is lacking. OBJECTIVE This study protocol aims to explore the efficacy of a set of smart devices to detect malposture and increase postural awareness, reducing fatigue, and musculoskeletal disorders. METHODS A longitudinal single-subject experimental design following the ABAB sequence will be developed in a manufacturing industry real context with 5 workers. A repetitive task of screw tightening of 5 screws in a standing position into a piece placed horizontally was selected. Workers will be assessed in 4 moments per shift (10 minutes after the beginning of the shift, 10 minutes before and after the break, and 10 minutes before the end of the shift) in 5 nonconsecutive days. The primary outcomes are fatigue, assessed by electromyography, and musculoskeletal symptoms assessed by the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire. Secondary outcomes include perceived effort (Borg perceived exertion scale); range of motion of the main joints in the upper body, speed, acceleration, and deceleration assessed by motion analysis; risk stratification of range of motion; and cycle duration in minutes. Structured visual analysis techniques will be conducted to observe the effects of the intervention. Results for each variable of interest will be compared among the different time points of the work shift and longitudinally considering each assessment day as a time point. RESULTS Enrollment for the study will start in April 2023. Results are expected to be available still in the first semester of 2023. It is expected that the use of the smart system will reduce malposture, fatigue, and consequently, work-related musculoskeletal pain and disorders. CONCLUSIONS This proposed study will explore a strategy to increase postural awareness in industrial manufacturing workers who do repetitive tasks, using smart wearables that provide real-time feedback about biomechanics. Results would showcase a novel approach for improving self-awareness of risk for work-related musculoskeletal disorders for these workers providing an evidence base support for the use of such devices. Cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the rapid assessment of physical activity questionnaire (RAPA) in Hungarian elderly over 50 years. BMC Sports Sci Med Rehabil 2022; 14:131. Abstract
Background Reliable and valid instruments are needed to estimate physical activity levels. The aim was to culturally adapt the “Rapid Assessment of Physical Activity” (RAPA) into Hungarian and to investigate the validity and reliability of this adapted version in the elderly over 50 years. Methods In our cross-sectional study 222 subjects were recruited in Hungary between December 2020 and January 2021(age 61.1 ± 7.9 years, 28% male). Criterion validity of RAPA and International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ)—Hungarian long version was tested by Spearman’s rank correlation. The examination of repeatability was based on a group of 32 people, and on the one-week test–retest reliability approach, and in addition to this during the statistical analysis intra-class correlation coefficient was calculated. To examine the sensitivity and specificity of the RAPA, negative and positive physical activity values were calculated from the results of the long version of the IPAQ and the RAPA. We tested 4 hypotheses (3 validity, 1 reliability). We considered acceptable validity and reliability if > 75% of hypotheses were confirmed. Results: All of the hypotheses (100%) were confirmed. Based on results of the validity testing of the newly adapted questionnaire was showed a moderate correlation between the examined measurement tools (R = 0.542, p < 0.001). The test–retest results of the questionnaire (N = 32, R = 0.988, p < 0.001) showed strong association. Conclusion RAPA showed fair to moderate validity and strong test–retest reliability similar to other studies. Based on our study’s results the RAPA is a valid and reliable questionnaire to measure the elderly Hungarian population’s physical activity. Abstract
OBJECTIVE To examine aerobic physical activity (PA) among non-Hispanic Black pregnant women. DESIGN Longitudinal prospective cohort study. SAMPLE A subset of 161 non-Hispanic Black pregnant women from the Midwestern US participating in a larger study completed questionnaires about aerobic physical activity (PA) before pregnancy (reported at 24.46±2.13 weeks gestation), mid-pregnancy (24.46±2.13 weeks gestation), and late pregnancy (31.78±1.95 weeks gestation). MEASUREMENTS Aerobic PA was measured using the Rapid Assessment of Physical Activity (RAPA). RESULTS Most participants reported being active prior to pregnancy (n = 101, 63%), with 60 (37%) underactive/sedentary. Aerobic RAPA scores were highest pre-pregnancy (3.29±1.11, median = 4, interquartile range [IQR] = 1) compared with mid-pregnancy (3.05±1.26, median = 4, IQR = 2) and late pregnancy (3.05±1.24, median = 4, IQR = 2). Pre-pregnancy scores were significantly higher than mid-pregnancy scores (Wilcoxon test = 1472, p = .008) and late pregnancy scores (Wilcoxon test = 1854, p = .01). CONCLUSION Most Black pregnant participants reported high levels of aerobic PA both before pregnancy and during pregnancy. However, many were underactive or sedentary. Aerobic PA decreased during pregnancy compared with pre-pregnancy, without the drop in third trimester PA found in other populations. Providers should assess PA across pregnancy and promote adequate PA for maternal and infant health, particularly among Black women.

Construct Validity and Responsiveness of the Rapid Assessment of Physical Activity in Adults Living With HIV. Arch Rehabil Res Clin Transl 2022; 3:100164. Abstract
Objective To evaluate the construct validity and responsiveness of the Rapid Assessment of Physical Activity (RAPA) for measuring physical activity (PA) in adults living with HIV. Design Secondary analysis of an interrupted time-series intervention study. Setting Community-based fitness facility in Toronto, Canada. Participants Sixty-seven adults (N=67) living with HIV (n=5 women; mean age, 51.8±11.6 years) with available baseline data to assess for construct validity of the RAPA, of which 50 (n=4 women; age, 53.2±11.4 years) had follow-up data to evaluate responsiveness. Interventions Two months of a community-based exercise intervention involving thrice weekly multicomponent exercises. Main Outcome Measures We used a single-item PA questionnaire as a convergent outcome to the RAPA, while peak oxygen consumption, general health status, and number of concurrent health conditions were divergent outcomes. We tested 11 a priori hypotheses (6 construct validity, 5 responsiveness) using Spearman ρ, Wilcoxon signed-rank tests, Cohen's d, standardized effect size (SES), and standardized response mean (SRM). We considered acceptable construct validity and responsiveness if >75% of hypotheses were confirmed. Results All of the hypotheses (100%) for construct validity were confirmed. The RAPA demonstrated moderate correlations with the single-item PA questionnaire (ρ=0.61), and negligible correlations with divergent outcome measures (ρ=0.08-0.21). Two of the 5 hypotheses (40.0%) for responsiveness were confirmed. RAPA scores were significantly greater after 2 months of training (P<.001) and demonstrated a small to moderate effect size (d=0.50, SES=0.47, SRM=0.48). There was a low correlation between change in RAPA scores and change in single-item PA questionnaire scores (ρ=0.48). Conclusions The RAPA demonstrated acceptable construct validity and poor responsiveness in adults living with HIV. Therefore, the RAPA can be used cross-sectionally but may be used in conjunction with other measures of PA for adults living with HIV.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/PURPOSE Older adults are high users of healthcare services, mainly due to health conditions and their impact on daily activities, challenging the ability of health systems to provide timely and high-quality care. Conceivably, using disability-related variables to predict future healthcare utilization could contribute to reduce both older adults' disability and healthcare costs. This study aimed to explore the association between aspects of disability and older adults' primary healthcare utilization and hospitalization over a period of 1 year. METHODS Older adults (n = 129) were assessed for self-reported disability, lower limb performance, pain intensity and number of painful body sites, depressive symptoms, and self-reported physical activity. Data on primary healthcare utilization and hospitalization were collected for the period of 1 year through registries and phone interviews. RESULTS Regression analysis, adjusted for potential confounders, showed that self-reported disability and pain intensity were significantly associated with total primary healthcare utilization and together with a confounding variable (number of chronic conditions) explained 16% of its variance (p < 0.05). Increased physical activity was significantly associated with a decreased likelihood of being admitted to hospital (95% CI for exponentiation (B) = 0.27-0.81). DISCUSSION Data suggest that decreasing self-reported disability and increasing physical activity may decrease primary healthcare utilization and hospitalization, respectively.

Abstract
PURPOSE This systematic review examines research and practical applications of the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS 2.0) as a basis for establishing specific criteria for evaluating relevant international scientific literature. The aims were to establish the extent of international dissemination and use of WHODAS 2.0 and analyze psychometric research on its various translations and adaptations. In particular, we wanted to highlight which psychometric features have been investigated, focusing on the factor structure, reliability, and validity of this instrument. METHOD Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology, we conducted a search for publications focused on "whodas" using the ProQuest, PubMed, and Google Scholar electronic databases. RESULTS We identified 810 studies from 94 countries published between 1999 and 2015. WHODAS 2.0 has been translated into 47 languages and dialects and used in 27 areas of research (40% in psychiatry). CONCLUSIONS The growing number of studies indicates increasing interest in the WHODAS 2.0 for assessing individual functioning and disability in different settings and individual health conditions. The WHODAS 2.0 shows strong correlations with several other measures of activity limitations; probably due to the fact that it shares the same disability latent variable with them. Implications for Rehabilitation WHODAS 2.0 seems to be a valid, reliable self-report instrument for the assessment of disability. The increasing interest in use of the WHODAS 2.0 extends to rehabilitation and life sciences rather than being limited to psychiatry. WHODAS 2.0 is suitable for assessing health status and disability in a variety of settings and populations. A critical issue for rehabilitation is that a single "minimal clinically important .difference" score for the WHODAS 2.0 has not yet been established.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Measurement of function usually involves the use of both performance-based and self-report instruments. However, the relationship between both types of measures is not yet completely understood, in particular for older adults attending primary care. OBJECTIVE The main objective of the study was to investigate the association between the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 (WHODAS 2.0) and the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) for older adults at primary care. A secondary objective was to determine the influence of sociodemographic and health-related variables on this relationship. DESIGN This was a cross-sectional study. METHODS A total of 504 participants aged 60 years and older from 18 different primary care centers underwent a one-session assessment including: sociodemographic variables, comorbidities, performance, self-reported disability, pain, depressive symptoms, and physical activity. Performance was assessed using the SPPB, and self-reported disability was assessed using the WHODAS 2.0. RESULTS The correlation between WHODAS 2.0 and SPPB scores was strong (r=.65). Regression analysis showed that the SPPB total score explained 41.7% of the variance in WHODAS 2.0 scores (adjusted R(2)=41.6%). A second model including the SPPB subtests (balance, gait, and sit-to-stand), depressive symptoms, number of pain sites, pain intensity, and level of physical activity explained 61.7% of the variance in WHODAS 2.0 scores (adjusted R(2)=60.4%). No model improvement was found when considering the 6 WHODAS 2.0 individual domains. LIMITATIONS The cross-sectional nature of the study does not allow inferences on causal relationships. CONCLUSIONS This study's findings confirm that self-report and performance-based measures relate to different aspects of functioning. Further study is needed to determine if primary care interventions targeting lower extremity performance and depressive symptoms improve self-reported disability.

Abstract
ntroducción: la práctica de actividad física es esencial para el cuidado de la salud. Se requiere contar con instrumentos que permitan medirla y monitorear los cambios en las personas que la practican. Objetivos: adaptar culturalmente el cuestionario Rapid Assessment of Physical Activity (RAPA), y estimar sus propiedades psicométricas, su validez y confiabilidad, para medir el nivel de actividad física en personas adultas consultantes en centros de atención primaria en Santiago (Chile). Materiales y métodos: el RAPA adaptado fue aplicado a 180 adultos asistentes a 5 centros de salud. Se determinó su índice de masa corporal (IMC) y circunferencia de cintura (CC). Resultados: las puntuaciones en la escala RAPA se relacionaron en forma inversa y significativa con el perímetro de cintura y el IMC. Las personas categorizadas con bajo nivel de actividad física (Poco Activo y Poco Activo Regular Ligero) presentan un IMC promedio más elevado y son más frecuentemente categorizados con CC alterada. La confiabilidad del instrumento fue moderada (r = 0,61; K = 0,34). Conclusiones: el RAPA en su versión en español adaptada para Chile, es un instrumento de fácil aplicación, que pese a su moderada confiabilidad, logra ser sensible al desarrollo de actividad física, que presenta una relación coherente con los parámetros antropométricos de IMC y CC sensibles a dicha actividad.
