Abstract
Purpose To share our experience in the diagnosis and treatment of an inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of the urinary bladder (IMTUB). Materials and Methods A database searches in the pathology archives by using the term “inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor” and” bladder” in our hospital department of pathology from 2010 to 2021. Patient characteristics, clinical features, histopathological results, immunohistochemical staining results, and treatment outcomes were reviewed. Results Fourteen cases of IMTUB were retrieved. The mean age was 44.7 ± 18.9 years (range 12–74). Nine (64.3%) of the patients presented with hematuria, followed by seven (50%) with odynuria, five (35.7%) with urgent urination, and one (7.1%) with dysuria. Ten (71.4%) of the patients were treated with partial cystectomy (PC), three (21.4%) with transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT), and one (7.1%) with radical cystectomy (RC). Histopathologically, eight (57.1%) had a compact spindle cell pattern. Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) staining was positive in six (75%) of 8 cases. During a mean follow-up period of 43.9 ± 38 months (range 3–117), a patient had recurrence within half a month. Then, the patient was treated with further TURBT surgery and had no recurrence within 6 months. Thirteen of the patients had no local recurrence or distant metastasis. Conclusion Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of the urinary bladder (IMTUB) is clinically rare and has a good prognosis. The disease is mainly treated with surgery to remove the tumor completely. It can easily be misdiagnosed as bladder urothelial carcinoma, leiomyosarcoma, or rhabdomyosarcoma, which may result in overtreatment and poor quality of life of patients.

Abstract
Introduction Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor is a benign entity that may present as a locally aggressive malignancy, predominantly in the lung. 500 cases have been reported in the literature, and an estimated prevalence ranges from 0.04% to 0.7%. Case presentation An eighteen-year old male presented to the surgical clinic with abdominal pain. The pain was recurring despite trials of analgesics and remained undiagnosed. Radiological imaging demonstrated a lesion in the spleen. An infectious cause was presumed due to their endemicity in South Asia, however pathology showed an inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor. Discussion Pre-operative imaging is yet to develop a set criterion that may identify this lesion, though clinicians may be clued in by the benign appearance despite the large size. Usual diagnosis is on pathology after complete surgical excision, which is the mainstay treatment advocated. Conclusion Reporting of the tumor in unusual sites such as the spleen is scarce, increase of which may help establish guidelines, understand tumor behavior and guide clinicians that may encounter it in surgical practice.

Abstract
Liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) is the most prevalent primary cancer of the liver, and immune-related genes (IRGs) regulate its development. So far, there is still no precise biomarker that predicts response to immunotherapy in LIHC. Therefore, this research seeks to identify immunogenic prognostic biomarkers and explore potential predictors for the efficacy of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies in LIHC. The clinical data and gene expression profiles of patients diagnosed with LIHC were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. Moreover, IRGs were obtained from the ImmPort database. We discovered 35 IRGs that were differentially expressed between LIHC tissues and corresponding normal tissues. Through univariate Cox regression analysis, eight prognostic differentially expressed IRGs (PDEIRGs) were identified. Further, three optimal PDEIRGs (BIRC5, LPA, and ROBO1) were identified and used to construct a prognostic risk signature of LIHC patients via multivariate Cox regression analysis. The signature was validated by ROC curves. Subsequently, based on gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) analysis, two out of the three optimal PDEIRGs (BIRC5 and LPA) were significantly enriched in the mismatch repair (MMR) pathway. Moreover, the two PDEIRGs (BIRC5 and LPA) were significantly correlated with the expression of genes related to mismatch repair (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, and PMS2). Furthermore, correlations between the two PDEIRGs (BIRC5 and LPA) and immune checkpoints of cancer treatment (such as CTLA4, PD-1, and PD-L1) were demonstrated. Hyperprogressive disease (HPD) is a novel pattern of tumor progression which has a close relationship with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) utilization. MDM2 family amplification might promote the HPD phenomenon. Finally, we found a positive regulatory relationship between HPD related gene (MDM2) and BIRC5. Notably, MDM2 can either interact directly with BIRC5 or indirectly via downstream transcription factors of BIRC5. Overall, our study uncovered a novel 3-immune-related prognostic genes in LIHC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Stratification and risk-evaluation of bladder cancer (BCa) patients are far-reached issues, especially for those with non muscle invasive disease. Thus, setting-up biomarkers, especially after resection of the primary tumor, is crucial. Specifically, Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio NLR and let-7 deregulation which have been preliminarily but not consistently described to be associated to unfavorable prognosis. OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical value of pre-treatment Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR), let-7c and let-7g's deregulation. METHODS Data were extracted from ninety BCa samples. Pre-treatment NLR was estimated as the absolute neutrophil count divided by the absolute lymphocyte count. Expression patterns of let-7c and let-7g were assessed by qRT-PCR. Correlation with clinical characteristics was performed by descriptive statistics. RESULTS Both let-7 miRs were upregulated. Interestingly, let-7g was associated to pathological stage (p= 0.001) and tumor multiplicity (p= 0.003). NLR was associated to histological grade (p= 0.005) and clinical stage (p= 0.006). They were both associated to more aggressive phenotype and their worth as potential stratification biomarkers was confirmed by ROC curve. CONCLUSIONS Our data demonstrated the potential clinical value of all markers, especially pretreatment NLR and let-7g. Further studies are recommended to confirm their utility in improving the clinical decision-making regarding treatment and follow-up scheduling.

The evaluation of monocyte lymphocyte ratio as a preoperative predictor in urothelial malignancies: a pooled analysis based on comparative studies. Sci Rep 2019; 9:6280. Abstract
In recent years, several studies have reported monocyte lymphocyte ratio (MLR) to predict prognosis in various tumors. Our study was performed to evaluate the association between preoperative MLR between prognostic variables in urothelial carcinoma patients. Systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed, Embase, Web of science. The correlation between preoperative MLR and overall survival (OS), cancer specific survival (CSS), disease free survival (DFS)/relapse free survival (RFS), progression free survival(PFS) was evaluated in urothelial carcinoma patients. Meanwhile, the association between MLR and clinicopathological characteristics was assessed. Finally, 12 comparative studies comprising a total of 6209 patients were included for pooled analysis. The hazard ratios (HRs), odds ratios (ORs)and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were further analyzed as effect measures. The pooled results demonstrated that elevated preoperative MLR indicated unfavorable OS (HR = 1.29, 95%CI = 1.18-1.39, I2 = 33.6%), DFS/RFS (HR = 1.42, 95%CI = 1.30–1.55, I2 = 0.0%) and CSS (HR = 1.41, 95%CI = 1.29–1.52, I2 = 0.0%). Moreover, the pooled results also suggested that elevated preoperative MLR was correlated with high tumor stage (OR = 1.22, 95%CI = 1.07–1.37, I2 = 0.0%) in urothelial carcinoma patients. No significant association was found between preoperative MLR and PFS in upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UUTUC) patients. Collectively, elevated preoperative MLR predicted poor prognosis in urothelial carcinoma and have the potential to be a feasible and cost-effective prognostic predictor for management of urothelial carcinoma.

Abstract
While initially controversial, the proposal that a subset of inflammatory pseudotumours were myofibroblastic neoplasms is now acknowledged. Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumour is a spindle cell neoplasm of intermediate biological potential that may arise in a wide range of anatomic sites but has a particular propensity for the lung and abdominal soft tissues. Depending on its location, IMT may present with a variety of clinical symptoms and it may also express a variable pathologic phenotype, leading to a broad range of clinical and pathological differentials. Recent discoveries about the molecular signatures of IMT not only provide additional tools to assist in their diagnosis, they also point to possible therapeutic interventions that may transform the management algorithms for patients with this condition.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to explore whether interleukin-6 (IL-6) gene (-174 G/C and -572 C/G) polymorphisms are associated with susceptibility to coronary artery disease (CAD) risk in Chinese population. All the statistical tests were performed using Stata version 11.0. Twelve articles involving 16 studies were included in this meta-analysis, covering a total of 2309 CAD cases and 2273 controls. For IL-6 gene -572 C/G polymorphism, the results showed evidence for significant association between IL-6 gene -572 C/G polymorphism and CAD risk (for G allele vs. C allele: OR=1.48, 95% CI=1.26-1.74, p<0.001; for G/G vs. C/C: OR=2.60, 95% CI=1.54-4.39, p<0.001; for G/G vs. G/C+C/C: OR=2.15, 95% CI=1.35-3.42, p=0.001; for G/G+G/C vs. C/C: OR=1.55, 95% CI=1.29-1.85, p<0.001). However, for IL-6 gene -174 G/C polymorphism, no significant association was found between this variation and CAD risk. In summary, our meta-analysis showed evidence that IL-6 gene -572 C/G polymorphism may be a risk factor for CAD susceptibility. For IL-6 gene -174 G/C polymorphism, no significant association was found between this variation and CAD risk.
