Abstract
In the realm of electronics and electric energy storage, the convergence of organic and metallic materials has yielded promising outcomes. In this study, we introduce a novel metal-organic polymer synthesized from Cyamelurate and copper (KCu-Cy) and explore its application as an electrode for a supercapacitor. This material was pressed onto a stainless-steel grid as a thin film and synthesized on nickel foam. Comprehensive characterization was carried out to confirm the synthesis, ensure phase purity, and investigate atomic interactions. Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction (SCXRD) and Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD) analyses verified the synthesis and phase purity, shedding light on atomic arrangements. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analyses provided insights into characteristic peaks within the material. Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) gauged stability and durability. Electrochemical performance was assessed through cyclic voltammetry. Notably, the nickel-supported electrodes, devoid of binders, exhibited exceptional specific capacity, reaching 1210.89 F/g at a scan rate of 5 mV/s, in contrast to 363.73 F/g for the pressed thin film on the stainless-steel grid, which incorporated a conductive agent and binder. Cu-Cy displayed impressive cyclization resistance, with a capacity retention of 90 % even after 11000 cycles. These findings underline the promise of Cu-Cy as a high-performance electrode material for supercapacitors, particularly in binder-free configurations, and suggest its potential in advanced energy storage applications.

Abstract
Supercapacitors (SCs) with outstanding versatility have a lot of potential applications in next-generation electronics. However, their practical uses are limited by their short working potential window and ultralow-specific capacity. Herein, the facile one-step in-situ hydrothermal synthesis is employed for the construction of a NiMo3S4/BP (black phosphorous) hybrid with a 3D hierarchical structure. After optimization, the NiMo3S4/BP hybrid displays a high specific capacitance of 830 F/g at 1 A/g compared to the pristine NiMo3S4 electrode. The fabricated NiMo3S4/BP//NiCo2S4/Ti3C2Tx asymmetric supercapacitor exhibits a better specific capacitance of 120 F/g at 0.5 A/g, which also demonstrates a high energy density of 54 Wh/kg at 1148.53 W/kg and good cycle stability with capacity retention of 86% and 97% of Coulombic efficiency after 6000 cycles. Further from the DFT simulations, the hybrid NiMo3S4/BP structure shows higher conductivity and quantum capacitance, which demonstrate greater charge storage capability, due to enhanced electronic states near the Fermi level. The lower diffusion energy barrier for the electrolyte K+ ions in the hybrid structure is facilitated by improved charge transfer performance for the hybrid NiMo3S4/BP. This work highlights the potential significance of hybrid nanoarchitectonics and compositional tunability as an emerging method for improving the charge storage capabilities of active electrodes.

Abstract
Super-capacitors (SCs), as new energy conversion storage elements, have attracted much attention, but there is still a research gap in the design of electrode materials. In this study, the optimization scheme of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and cobalt-based MOF composites as electrode materials for SCs in new energy vehicles is explored, and a series of experiments are conducted to evaluate their performance. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) images reveal that the cobalt-based MOF composites have a surface morphology of particles with uniform distribution. The electrochemical performance test results show that the specific capacitance of the cobalt-based MOF composites is much higher than the sum of the two individual electrode materials and presents a remarkable increase with the scanning rate. Additionally, in the constant current charge-discharge test, cobalt-based MOF composites exhibit the longest charge-discharge time and good symmetry. Electrolyte particle contact tests for samples at different preparation temperatures display that high-temperature samples have better structural stability and electrolyte ion contact. In Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) and Galvanostatic Charge Discharge (GCD) tests, the 250 °C sample demonstrates the best electrochemical properties and the highest specific capacitance (269 F/g). Moreover, as the current density increases, the specific capacitance of the 600 °C sample decreases at a lower rate, showing stronger stability. However, the use of cobalt-based MOF materials may pose environmental and safety risks, such as the environmental impact of cobalt resource mining, instability under high-temperature conditions, and the possible production of hazardous substances. Therefore, these factors need to be fully considered when designing and using SCs to ensure the environmental friendliness and safety of cobalt-based MOFs. These results provide an important reference for selecting and optimizing electrode materials for SCs in new energy vehicles. Furthermore, this study offers research suggestions for improving new energy materials, filling the research gaps in related fields, and supporting the further development of SC technology.

Abstract
In this study, we report on the enhancement of the electrochemical properties of MXene by intercalating C60 nanoparticles between its layers. The aim was to increase the interlayer spacing of MXene, which has a direct effect on capacitance by allowing the electrolyte flow in the electrode. To achieve this, various concentrations of Ti3SiC2 (known as MXene) and C60 nanocomposites were prepared through a hydrothermal process under optimal conditions. The resulting composites were characterized by using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. Electrodes were fabricated using different concentrations of MXene and C60 nanocomposites, and current-voltage (I-V) measurements were performed at various scan rates to analyze the capacitance of pseudo supercapacitors. The results showed the highest capacitance of 348 F g1- for the nanocomposite with a composition of 90% MXene and 10% C60. We introduce MXene-C60 composites as promising electrode materials for supercapacitors and highlight their unique properties. Our work provides a new approach to designing high-performance electrode materials for supercapacitors, which can have significant implications for the development of efficient energy storage systems.

Abstract
The Fe2O3 material is a common active material for supercapacitor electrodes and has received much attention due to its cheap and easy availability and high initial specific capacitance. In the present study, we prepared adhesive-free Fe2O3 sheet electrodes for supercapacitors by growing Fe2O3 material on nickel foam by hydrothermal method. The sheet electrode exhibited a high initial specific capacitance of 863 F g-1, but we found that the sheet lost its specific capacitance too quickly through cyclic stability tests. To solve this problem, Fe2O3/MgFe2O4 composites were grown on nickel foam (NF). It was found through testing that the cycling stability of the sheet electrode gradually increased as the content of MgFe2O4 material increased. When the molar ratio of Fe2O3 to MgFe2O4 material was 1 : 1, the initial specific capacitance of the sheet electrode was 815 F g-1 and the capacitance remained at 81.25% of the initial specific capacitance after 1000 cycles. The better cycling stability results from the more stable structure of the composite, the synergistic effect leading to better reversibility of the reaction.

Abstract
In this study, boron carbide powders consisting mainly of nano/micro fibers or polyhedral-equiaxed particles were synthesized via the sol-gel technique, and the influence of particle morphology on electrochemical performance of boron carbide electrodes was investigated. Thermal decomposition duration of the precursors played a determinant role in the final morphology of the synthesized boron carbide powders. The morphology of boron carbide powders successfully tuned from polyhedral-equiaxed (with ~3 µm average particle size) to nano/micro fibers by adjusting the thermal decomposition duration of precursors. The length and thickness of fibers were in the range of 30 to 200 µm and sub-micron to 5 µm, respectively. The electrochemical performance analysis of boron carbide powders has shown that the particle morphology has a considerable impact on the boron carbide electrodes electrochemical performance. It was found that the synergetic effects of polyhedral-equiaxed and nano/micro fiber morphologies exhibited the best electrochemical performance in supercapacitor devices, resulting in the power and energy density of 34.9 W/kg and 0.016 Wh/kg, respectively.

Abstract
Supercapacitors (SCs) have been regarded as alternative electrochemical energy storage devices; however, optimizing the electrode materials to further enhance their specific energy and retain their rate capability is highly essential. Herein, the influence of nitrogen content and structural characteristics (i.e., porous and non-porous) of the NiS/nitrogen-doped carbon nanocomposites on their electrochemical performances in an alkaline electrolyte is explored. Due to their distinctive surface and the structural features of the porous carbon (A-PVP-NC), the as-synthesized NiS/A-PVP-NC nanocomposites not only reveal a high wettability with 6 M KOH electrolyte and less polarization but also exhibit remarkable rate capability (101 C/g at 1 A/g and 74 C/g at 10 A/g). Although non-porous carbon (PI-NC) possesses more nitrogen content than the A-PVP-NC, the specific capacity output from the latter at 10 A/g is 3.7 times higher than that of the NiS/PI-NC. Consequently, our findings suggest that the surface nature and porous architectures that exist in carbon materials would be significant factors affecting the electrochemical behavior of electrode materials compared to nitrogen content.

Engineering triangular bimetallic metal-organic-frameworks derived hierarchical zinc-nickel-cobalt oxide nanosheet arrays@reduced graphene oxide-Ni foam as a binder-free electrode for ultra-high rate performance supercapacitors and methanol electro-oxidation. J Colloid Interface Sci 2021; 602:573-589. Abstract
The rigorous fabrication of electrode materials using upper-ranked porous precursor especially metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are challenging but appealing task to procure electrochemical energy storage and conversion system with altitudinous performance. Herein, we replenish the rational construction of atypical electrode of hollow Zn-Ni-Co-oxide (ZNCO) nanosheet arrays onto rGO garnished Ni foam (rGO/NF) via two step solution based method. Firstly, 2D Zn-Co-MOFs derived nanoleave arrays are prepared by co-precipitation method. Next, hollow and porous ZNCO nanostructure from 2D solid nanoleave arrays are achieved by ion-exchange and etching process conjoined with post annealing treatment. The as-fabricated hierarchical ZNCO nanosheet arrays offer large numbers of electroactive sites with short ion-diffusion pathways, reflecting the outstanding electrochemical performance in-terms of excellent specific capacity (267 mAh g-1) ultra-high rate capability (83.82% at 50 A/g) and long-term cycling life (~90.16%) in three electrode configuration for supercapacitor (SCs). Moreover, the hollow and porous ZNCO nanostructure responds as immensely active and substantial electrocatalyst for methanol oxidation with lowest onset potential of 0.27 V. To demonstrate the practicability, hybrid supercapacitor (HSC) device is constructed using ZNCO@rGO-NF nanostructure as positive and rGO decorated MOF derived porous carbon (rGO-MDPC) as negative electrode. The as-assembled ZNCO//rGO-MDPC ASC device delivers higher energy density of 61.25 Wh kg-1 at the power density of 750 W kg-1 with long-term cyclic stability (<6% to its initial specific capacity value) after 6000 cycles.
