The XII International Congress of Toxicology (IUTOX) held from 19 to 23 July 2010 in Barcelona, Spain is one such meeting. The IUTOX is important as its emphasis is on chemical safety and integrating approaches and alternative possibilities to protecting public health. The meeting was an important forum with professional interactions in different subspecialties of toxicology addressing these current topics.
