Abstract
PURPOSE Hodgkin's lymphoma is currently treated with a chemotherapy protocol consisting of doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine. Due to Brazil facing a bleomycin shortage in 2017, and this drug's high toxicity, this retrospective study evaluates the effect that the absence of bleomycin had on treatment response and overall survival of Hodgkin's lymphoma patients. METHODS The medical records of 126 HL patients treated between 2007 and 2021 were reviewed and their data collected, followed by grouping into ABVD and AVD groups according to bleomycin use. Data concerning the patient's characteristics, cancer type, and treatment plan were analyzed with proportion tests, Kaplan-Meier curves. univariate Cox regression, and χ2 tests. RESULTS No discernible differences were found in this study between the overall survival and recurrence rate of patients treated with bleomycin compared to those without. Additionally, there was an increased risk of death in each subsequent cycle of chemotherapy of the complete ABVD protocol, demonstrating a risk of toxicity. Among the variables analyzed, hypertension and the presence of B symptoms were also associated with an increased risk of death, while the use of radiotherapy significantly improved survival. CONCLUSION The results of this study suggest that bleomycin did not impact the outcome of Hodgkin's lymphoma treatment. Moreover, the increased risk of death associated with its toxicity during each cycle of treatment raises concerns about its role as an essential component of the gold standard for Hodgkin's lymphoma treatment. Therefore, further research and consideration are needed to reassess the use of bleomycin in Hodgkin's lymphoma treatment protocols.

Abstract
Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) is a lymphatic neoplasm typically found in the cervical lymph nodes. The disease is multifactorial, and in recent years, the relationships between various vascular molecules have been explored in the field of vascular biology. The connection between vascular biology and HL is intricate and the roles of several pathways remain unclear. This review summarizes the cellular and molecular relationships between vascular biology and HL. Proteins associated with various functions in vascular biology, including cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1, IL-13, and IL-21), chemokines (CXCL10, CXCL12, and CCL21), adhesion molecules (ELAM-1/VCAM-1), and growth factors (BDNF/NT-3, platelet-derived growth factor receptor-α), have been linked to tumor activity. Notable tumor activities include the induction of paracrine activation of NF-kB-dependent pathways, upregulation of adhesion molecule regulation, genome amplification, and effective loss of antigen presentation mediated by MHC-II. Preclinical study models, primarily those using cell culture, have been optimized for HL. Animal models, particularly mice, are also used as alternatives to complex biological systems, with studies primarily focusing on the physiopathogenic evaluation of the disease. These biomolecules warrant further study because they may shed light on obscure pathways and serve as targets for prevention and/or treatment interventions.

Abstract
Reed-Sternberg cells (RSCs) are hallmarks of classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). However, cells with a similar morphology and immunophenotype, so-called Reed-Sternberg-like cells (RSLCs), are occasionally seen in both B cell and T cell non-Hodgkin Lymphomas (NHLs). In NHLs, RSLCs are usually present as scattered elements or in small clusters, and the typical background microenviroment of cHL is usually absent. Nevertheless, in NHLs, the phenotype of RSLCs is very similar to typical RSCs, staining positive for CD30 and EBV, and often for B cell lineage markers, and negative for CD45/LCA. Due to different therapeutic approaches and prognostication, it is mandatory to distinguish between cHL and NHLs. Herein, NHL types in which RSLCs can be detected along with clinicopathological correlation are described. Moreover, the main helpful clues in the differential diagnosis with cHL are summarized.

Abstract
Among the DNA tumor viruses Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and Kaposi sarcoma herpesvirus (KSHV), account for a considerable percentage of virus-associated cancers. Deregulation of transcription factors signaling pathways is one of the most significant oncogenic characteristics of EBV and KSHV. NF-κB is a transcription factor that play a remarkable role in oncogenesis because of its function as a master regulator of a spectrum of genes involved in physiological and pathophysiological process. Constitutive activation of NF-κB is a frequent and well-described event in many human malignancies. Compelling evidence represent EBV and KSHV are capable of targeting different components of NF-κB cascade. Here, we summarized recent findings to clarify the precise relationship between dysregulation of NF-κB and EBV and KSHV-related malignancies. This essay also emphasizes on contribution of various viral products in developing cancer through alteration of NF-κB signaling pathway.

Abstract
Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) encompasses 2 unique clinicopathologic entities, classical Hodgkin lymphoma (CHL) (∼95% of cases) and nodular lymphocyte predominant HL (∼5% of cases). Both subtypes demonstrate a paucity of surreptitious (in CHL) neoplastic B cells within a background of reactive inflammatory cells underscoring both the relatedness of these 2 entities to each other, as well as their distinction from other types of lymphoid neoplasia. Clinically, they are primarily nodal diseases that disseminate in a predictable manner to contiguous nodal regions. The biology of HL as a whole, as well as the genetic and pathologic features that distinguish CHL from nodular lymphocyte predominant HL and other lymphomas has been the subject of a wealth of investigation in recent decades. The aim of this review is to detail the pathologic features of HL and to highlight the recent insights into its molecular basis and the myriad prognostic markers being described.

Abstract
Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is an unusual malignancy in that the tumour cells, the Hodgkin and Reed-Sternberg (HRS) cells, are a minor component of the tumour mass, the bulk of which is a mixed cellular infiltrate. There is compelling evidence that HRS cells are clonal B cells that have lost their B cell phenotype. Mature B cells lacking B cell receptors would normally die by apoptosis, and therefore HRS cells must have developed mechanisms to facilitate survival. The escape from apoptosis and transcriptional reprogramming of HRS cells are interlinked and appear central to disease pathogenesis. Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is present in the HRS cells of a proportion of cases and expresses genes with a plausible oncogenic function. It is likely that EBV plays a role in reprogramming and survival through dysregulation of several signalling networks and transcription factors, including nuclear factor (NF)-κB. Activation of NF-κB is a feature of all HRS cells and gene mutations affecting this pathway appear common in EBV-negative HL. The HRS cell furthers its own survival by attracting a supportive microenvironment of immune and stromal cells, and suppressing local immune responsiveness. Although many questions remain unanswered, the last two decades have witnessed a considerable increase in our knowledge of this complex disease.

Abstract
An increasing number of neoplasms are associated with variably specific genetic abnormalities. This is best exemplified by hematological malignancies, in which there is a growing list of entities that are defined by their genetic lesion(s); this is not (yet) the case in mature B-cell lymphomas. However, enhanced insights into the pathogenesis of this large and diverse group of lymphomas have emerged with the ongoing unraveling of a plethora of fascinating genetic abnormalities. The purpose of this review is to synthesize well-recognized data and nascent discoveries in our understanding of the genetic basis of a spectrum of mature B-cell lymphomas, and how this may be applied to contemporary clinical practice. Despite the explosion of new and exciting knowledge in this arena, with the potential for enhanced diagnostic and prognostic strategies, it is essential to remain cognizant of the limitations (and complexity) of genetic investigations, so that assays can be developed and used both judiciously and rationally.

Abstract
Torque teno (TT) viruses have been more frequently reported in malignant biopsies when compared to normal control tissue. The possible contribution of TT virus infection to human carcinogenesis or the potential oncolytic functions of these virus infections are being discussed based on available experimental evidence. The data could suggest an involvement of TT virus infections as an indirect carcinogen by modulating T cell immune responses. Significant oncolytic functions, potentially mediated by the inhibition of nuclear factor (NF)-kappaB transcription factor or by apoptin-like gene activities, are emerging to be less likely.
