Abstract
OBJECTIVE
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation has emerged as a viable treatment alternative for patients with severe aortic stenosis who are not surgical candidates. Multidimensional (3D and 4D) MDCT angiography plays a critical role in the safety, success, and outcome of an institutional transcatheter aortic valve implantation program.
CONCLUSION
Given the increasing therapeutic role of this innovative technique, an understanding of essential imaging concepts in its context is critical for appropriate image acquisition and interpretation.
