Website for families of non-breastfed children: development and validation of content and interface

OBJECTIVES

to develop and validate the content and interface of a guidance website to support families in promoting Food and Nutrition Security for children under six months who are not breastfed.

METHODS

methodological study, Knowledge Translation, in two stages of creation: 1) content and validation on the criterion of accuracy in a panel of experts; 2) interface and validation on the criteria of content, language, illustrations, layout, motivation, culture and applicability.

RESULTS

the "Milky Way" website is freely available: https://www.ufsm.br/pet/ciencia-da-computacao/alimentacao-lactea. The content was structured in a decision tree made up of types of milk: milk formula, whole cow's milk and powdered milk; and utensils: bottle, cup and measuring spoon. There were 46 illustrations to elucidate the content, facilitate understanding and engage the target population. The Content Validity Index was 0.91.

CONCLUSIONS

the website is a validated technology with evidence-based written and pictorial content translated for use with families.

Assessment of educational technology in lactation physiology by health students

OBJECTIVES

to assess the suitability, facilitators, and barriers of using a video clip for teaching lactation physiology to health students.

METHODS

a cross-sectional study was conducted with online data collection at a higher education institution, using the Assistive Technology Assessment Instrument and open-ended questions. The sample consisted of 88 students.

RESULTS

the video clip was deemed suitable in all attributes. Facilitators identified included attractiveness, musicality, and ease of access. Barriers noted were the music's speed and the necessity for prior knowledge. The video clip achieved adequate scores for interactivity (1.71), purpose (1.77), relevance (1.64), and clarity (1.77). The overall average of the attributes was 1.72.

CONCLUSIONS

the video clip can serve as an effective learning strategy to enhance hybrid education, potentially contributing to the promotion and support of breastfeeding. However, some barriers underscore the importance of prior knowledge for a complete understanding of the content.

"Fala-M@no-COVID-19": technological development of a health navigation program for men during the pandemic

OBJECTIVE

to develop a care-educational technology similar to a health navigation program for men during the COVID-19 pandemic.

METHODS

a methodological and qualitative study of a care-educational technology of health navigation program, structured by Program Development Cycle, with 16 patient navigators and 10 professional navigators. It used reflective thematic content analysis and an adaptation model for data processing.

RESULTS

the "Fala-M@ano-COVID-19"; navigation program was developed by: I) Observation of reality, problem mapping, needs assessment: content selection, creation of domains and questions; II) Theoretical-conceptual and methodological definition, creation of product under the elaboration of care plans, based on theory, process and taxonomies by a flowchart of operationalization of actions; and III) Self-assessment: qualitative research with professional navigators.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

the technology developed, with theoretical and methodological support, allowed to derive a viable navigation program compatible with reality based on the audience's needs.

Educational technology on tuberculosis: construction shared with Primary Health Care nurses

OBJECTIVE

to develop, in a participatory way, an educational technology to assist nurses in the management of tuberculosis cases in Primary Health Care.

METHODS

methodological research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected between June and October 2022, in 25 Basic Health Units, with 41 nurses interviewed individually. Thematic content analysis was carried out to guide technology elaboration.

RESULTS

three empirical categories were organized, demonstrating the facilities and difficulties in tuberculosis management, the conceptions about educational technology as a facilitator of the teaching-learning process in Primary Health Care and participatory development of technology. Nurses were in favor of constructing an instructional guide technology, and made suggestions to encourage its creation and use in daily service routine.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

the participatory process made it possible to create technology to assist nurses in the teaching-learning process in Primary Health Care about caring for people with tuberculosis.

Elaboration and validity of the Instrumento para Avaliação de Modelos metodológicos voltados ao Desenvolvimento de Tecnologias

OBJECTIVE

to elaborate and validate the Instrumento para Avaliação de Modelos metodológicos voltados ao Desenvolvimento de Tecnologias.

METHODS

a methodological study, developed in three stages: instrument structuring through documentary research and researchers' expertise; instrument validity with a panel of 11 expert judge nurses; and instrument final composition.

RESULTS

the instrument, after validity by experts, consisted of 30 items, divided into the content (26 items) and appearance (four items) domains. In the initial instrument validity process, 11 items were modified and seven were withdrawn, as they had a percentage of agreement below 0.80. The instrument showed excellent internal consistency, with values greater than 0.90 in its psychometric criteria.

CONCLUSION

the instrument produced and validated aimed at assessing research methodological models for technological development showed good reliability, and may contribute to the methodological rigor of technological development research in nursing.

Id jog caregiver in action: board game development for informal caregivers of the elderly

Abstract Objective to develop a board game to promote health education carried out by nurses with informal caregivers of the elderly. Method methodological research, conducted between February 2020 and April 2021 in two stages: production of the game and content and semantic validation. The content was validated by specialist nurses using the Content Validity Index, and the semantics was validated by informal caregivers of the elderly using the Semantic Concordance Index. Results The Id Jog - Caregiver in action was validated with a Content Validity Index of 0.93. After this step, modifications considered relevant for the improvement of the game were made. After that, the game went through a semantic validation with a Semantic Concordance Index of 100%. Id Jog - Caregiver in Action is composed of 47 cards divided into psychosocial, physical and biological care and caregiver self-care, six pawns, one die, an instruction manual, and a board. Conclusions and implications for practice The Id Jog-Caregiver in action has proven to be a valid care-educational technology for health education, as it enables exchanges of experiences and strengthens bonds between nurses and caregivers, in addition to creating a support network among caregivers.

CONSTRUÇÃO E VALIDAÇÃO DE TECNOLOGIA EDUCACIONAL SOBRE INSULINOTERAPIA: ESTUDO METODOLÓGICO

RESUMO Objetivo: construir e validar tecnologia educacional sobre insulinoterapia para práticas educativas de profissionais de saúde. Método: estudo metodológico realizado em três etapas: construção, entre os meses de maio a setembro de 2019; e validação de conteúdo e validação de aparência, agosto de 2020 a agosto de 2021, em Universidade Pública do Amapá, Brasil. A validação de conteúdo e a validação de aparências foram realizadas em etapas únicas com 16 profissionais da área da saúde e com cinco profissionais de outras áreas respectivamente. Resultados: a tecnologia educacional foi nomeada álbum seriado sobre Insulinoterapia, estando disponível no formato impresso. Apresentou Índice de Validade de Conteúdo de 0,91 e Índice de Validade de Aparência de 1,00. Conclusão: a tecnologia foi validada e pode ser utilizada por profissionais de saúde da atenção primária em práticas educativas em saúde, com vistas à promoção de ensino-aprendizagem sobre o uso de insulina, beneficiando o processo de cuidado e comunicação na atenção à saúde.

CONSTRUCTION AND VALIDATION OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY ON INSULIN THERAPY: METHODOLOGICAL STUDY

ABSTRACT Objective: to build and validate educational technology on insulin therapy for educational practices of health professionals. Method: methodological study conducted in three stages: construction, between May and September 2019; and content validation and appearance validation, August 2020 to August 2021, in a Public University of Amapá, Brazil. Content validation and appearance validation were performed in single steps with 16 health professionals and with five professionals from other areas respectively. Results: The educational technology was named Serial Album on Insulin Therapy and was available in printed format. It presented a Content Validity Index of 0.91 and an Appearance Validity Index of 1.00. Conclusion: the technology was validated and can be used by primary care health professionals in health educational practices, with a view to promoting teaching-learning about the use of insulin, benefiting the process of care and communication in health care.

Id jog cuidador em ação: desenvolvimento de jogo de tabuleiro para cuidadores informais de idosos

Resumo Objetivo desenvolver um jogo de tabuleiro para favorecer a educação em saúde realizada pelo enfermeiro com cuidadores informais de idosos. Método pesquisa metodológica, realizada entre os meses de fevereiro de 2020 a abril de 2021 em duas etapas: produção do jogo e validação de conteúdo e semântica. O conteúdo foi validado por enfermeiros especialistas pelo Índice de Validade de Conteúdo, e a semântica, por cuidadores informais de idosos pelo Índice de Concordância Semântica. Resultados o Id Jog - Cuidador em ação foi validado com Índice de Validade de Conteúdo de 0,93. Depois desta etapa, foram realizadas modificações consideradas pertinentes para a melhoria do jogo. Na sequência, o jogo passou pela validação semântica com Índice de Concordância Semântica de 100%. O Id Jog - Cuidador em Ação é composto por 47 cartas, divididas em cuidados psicossociais, físicos e biológicos e autocuidado do cuidador, seis piões, um dado, um manual de instruções e um tabuleiro. Conclusões e implicações para a prática o Id Jog- Cuidador em ação se mostrou como uma tecnologia cuidativo-educacional válida para a educação em saúde, pois possibilita trocas de experiências e fortalece vínculos entre enfermeiro e cuidadores, além de criar uma rede de apoio entre cuidadores.

CONSTRUCCIÓN Y VALIDACIÓN DE TECNOLOGÍA EDUCATIVA SOBRE INSULINOTERAPIA: ESTUDIO METODOLÓGICO

RESUMEN Objetivo: construir y validar una tecnología educativa sobre la insulinoterapia para las prácticas educativas de los profesionales de la salud. Método estudio metodológico realizado en tres etapas: construcción, entre mayo y septiembre de 2019; y validación de contenido y validación de apariencia, agosto de 2020 a agosto de 2021, en una Universidad Pública de Amapá, Brasil. La validación del contenido y la validación de la apariencia se realizaron en un solo paso con 16 profesionales de la salud y cinco profesionales de otras áreas, respectivamente. Resultados: la tecnología educativa se ha convertido en un rotafolio sobre insulinoterapia, disponible en formato impreso. Presentó un Índice de Validez de Contenido de 0,91 y un Índice de Validez de Apariencia de 1,00. Conclusión: la tecnología fue validada y puede ser utilizada por los profesionales de salud de la atención primaria en prácticas educativas en salud, con vistas a promover la enseñanza-aprendizaje sobre el uso de la insulina, beneficiando el proceso de atención y comunicación en salud.

Educational technology for primigravidae: a quasi-experimental study

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the influence of an educational technology on the knowledge of primigravidae about the signs of labor and obstetric risk.

METHOD

A quasi-experimental, before-and-after, non-randomized and non-concurrent study carried out with 90 primigravidae. For data analysis, descriptive statistics was applied,McNemarandStudent's t test. The project was submitted and approved by the Research Ethics Committee in 2020.

RESULTS

The profile of the pregnant women corresponded to women with an average age of 23 years, brown, living in a common-law marriage, and with an average of 10 years of education. Half of the pregnant women were in the third trimester of pregnancy and were undergoing usual-risk prenatal care. Only 12.22% of the participants reported having access to information on the subject. Data analysis showed a significant difference in the number of correct answers for the questions, before and after viewing the animated video, especially in questions related to signs of labor, bag of waters, and fetal movement test.

CONCLUSION

Educational technology has a positive influence on primigravidae's knowledge about signs of labor and obstetric risk.

Construction and validation of educational technology for family members of people with venous ulcers

OBJECTIVE

To build and validate an educational technology in the form of a booklet, aimed at the family members of people with venous ulcers to assist them in their care.

METHODS

A methodological study, which went through the stages of bibliographic survey and situational diagnosis for the construction of the booklet and validation of content, appearance, and adequacy with judges and the target audience. The Content Validity Index, the Suitability Assessment of Materials, and the Concordance Index were used.

RESULTS

In the validation with the content and appearance judges, the booklet showed an excellent overall Content Validity Index (tCVI=0.92). The technical judges evaluated the booklet as "superior" (average of 91%). The booklet underwent adjustments, and validation was performed with the target population, reaching an agreement rate higher than 75%.

CONCLUSION

The educational booklet developed was validated for content and appearance and considered suitable for use by family members of people with venous ulcers.

Tecnologia educacional para primigestas: estudo quase experimental

RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar a influência de uma tecnologia educacional sobre o conhecimento de primigestas acerca dos sinais de trabalho de parto e de risco obstétrico. Método: Estudo quase experimental do tipo antes e depois, não randomizado e não concorrente, realizado com 90 primigestas. Para análise dos dados foi aplicada estatística descritiva, McNemar e t Student. O projeto foi submetido e aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa em 2020. Resultados: O perfil das gestantes correspondeu a mulheres com idade média de 23 anos, pardas, que vivenciam uma união estável e com média de 10 anos de escolaridade. Metade das gestantes estavam no terceiro trimestre gestacional e realizavam o pré-natal de risco habitual. Apenas 12,22% das participantes relataram ter acesso a informações sobre a temática. A análise dos dados evidenciou diferença significativa no número de acertos das questões, antes e depois da visualização do vídeo animado, principalmente nas perguntas relacionadas aos sinais de trabalho de parto, bolsa d’águas e mobilograma. Conclusão: A tecnologia educacional tem influência positiva sobre o conhecimento das primigestas acerca dos sinais de trabalho de parto e de risco obstétrico.

Content validation to support the monitoring of disclosure of HIV diagnosis in childhood

OBJECTIVES

to create and validate the content of a guide for monitoring the communication of the HIV diagnosis in childhood.

METHODS

methodological study, with a design guided by the Knowledge-to-Action (KTA) Framework, supported by a participatory approach. The guide's content was structured according to the communication elements proposed by Lasswel from review studies.

RESULTS

the content was validated by 26 experts from nursing, medicine, psychology and pedagogy, using a Likert-type scale for relevance, clarity and precision. Data collection took place online and achieved a Content Validity Index of 0.94.

CONCLUSIONS

the guide can contribute to the practice of professionals who care for children living with HIV, to support the family in communication and to the child's right to know their diagnosis. For further research, it is recommended to create and validate the face of the technology in order to implement it.

Conceptions on care and education technologies in the practices of the hospital nurse / Concepções sobre tecnologias do cuidar e educar na práxis do enfermeiro hospitalar

Objetivos: analisar a(s) concepção(ões) de enfermeiras que atuam no cenário hospitalar sobre tecnologias do cuidar e educar. Método: pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva-exploratória, fundamentada pelo referencial filosófico da práxis humana. Desenvolvida com 21 enfermeiras de um Hospital público do Sul do Brasil. A coleta dos dados ocorreu por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e observação. Para análise, utilizou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo temática. Resultados: emergiram duas categorias: tecnologias do cuidar: da utilização em si às maneiras de se utilizar e gerenciar; e tecnologias do educar: aproximações com a práxis do educar-cuidando e cuidar-educando. Conclusão: analisar e refletir sobre conceitos de tecnologias do cuidado e educação demonstrou que os enfermeiros necessitam evoluir seus conhecimentos sobre essas definições, no intuito de aplicá-las na/para tomada de decisões, elevando assim, a qualidade dos resultados assistenciais.

Honneth: Contribuições para o cuidar em enfermagem à luz do amor, direito e solidariedade

Introdução: Compreender a relação intersubjetiva que permeia o cuidado de enfermagem requer reconhecimento recíproco enfermeiro e paciente e/ou familiar. Para tanto, é necessário refletir sobre a construção do próprio ser humano consolidado no amor, no direito e na solidariedade. Objetivo: Refletir sobre o saber e fazer do cuidado de enfermagem a partir do respeito aos três padrões de reconhecimento conforme Honneth: amor, direito e solidariedade. Materiais e Métodos: Revisão integrativa da literatura, com busca nas bases de dados eletrônicas, nacionais e internacionais, a partir de descritores controlados e palavras relacionadas. Utilizou-se também a obra “Luta por Reconhecimento: a gramática moral dos conflitos sociais”. Resultados: Foram incluídos 16 artigos na revisão. Os resultados apontaram a práxis da enfermagem frente à escolha/recusa do cuidado respaldado no respeito mútuo, nas legalidades e nas reflexões frente à complexidade subjetiva do paciente e sua autonomia. Discussão: O amor, direito e solidariedade, compreendidos no processo de cuidado em enfermagem são vistos na literatura como uma construção história e social de reconhecimento mútuo, assim como relação intersubjetiva entre o profissional e o indivíduo, buscando estabelecer respeito à dignidade humana e à sua autonomia. Desrespeitar tais relações resultam em desumanização e desmoralização do sujeito. Conclusões: O respeito às dimensões do amor, direito e solidariedade contribuem para o reconhecimento do cuidado de enfermagem e autonomia do paciente.

Teste alfa de uma tecnologia gamificada para crianças e adolescentes em hemodiálise

RESUMO Objetivo apresentar o teste alfa do protótipo de uma tecnologia gamificada, o Nefro Hero ®, com foco na Qualidade de Vida Relacionada à Saúde de pacientes pediátricos em tratamento hemodialítico. Método pesquisa metodológica, avaliativa, por meio do teste alfa, com abordagem quantitativa, realizada com oito pacientes em tratamento hemodialítico com idades entre oito e 16 anos. Foi desenvolvida em quatro etapas: primeira aplicação do inventário de QVRS DISABKIDS®; nove sessões de jogo com os pacientes, individualmente, durante as sessões de hemodiálise; segunda aplicação do inventário; duas sessões de brainstorming. Resultados entre a primeira e a segunda aplicações do inventário, foram identificadas melhorias no domínio mental na QVRS dos pacientes, indicando o potencial da função primária da estratégia. Foram levantados pontos para ser revistos na tecnologia antes da etapa de validação. Conclusão e implicações para a Enfermagem por ser um teste alfa, os resultados não podem ser generalizados, mas indicam o potencial da estratégia. O artigo apresenta uma etapa de avaliação anterior à de validação, fundamental ao desenvolvimento de tecnologias em formato de jogos e ainda pouco explorada.

Construção e validação de tecnologia educacional para promoção do aleitamento materno no período neonatal

Resumo Objetivo Este estudo teve como objetivos construir e validar um pacote de mensagens de texto e figuras para promoção do aleitamento materno no período neonatal. Métodos tratou-se de um estudo metodológico, realizado em quatro etapas: revisão integrativa da literatura, construção de pacote de mensagens e figuras, análise de legibilidade e validação de conteúdo e aparência. Para validação, participaram 11 juízes com expertise em aleitamento materno. O critério para validação foi concordância superior a 80%, analisada por meio dos índices de validação de conteúdo e aparência. Resultados a versão final do pacote de mensagens e figuras apresentou índice de validade de conteúdo de 0,86, índice de validade de aparência de 0,85 e validade convergente com correlação de 0,73 entre o conteúdo e a aparência (p<0,01). Conclusões e implicações para a prática o pacote de mensagens de texto e figuras foi considerado válido em conteúdo, aparência e convergência para promoção do aleitamento materno, no período neonatal, constituindo tecnologia educacional adequada para ser compartilhada via mensagens telefônicas, com intuito de se aproximar das nutrizes, ajudando-as a reagir frente aos problemas comuns no período neonatal.

Care Facilitator Cart: a product technology built with nursing professionals

OBJECTIVES

to describe a product technology building (Care Facilitator Cart) with nursing professionals working in surgical clinic and medical clinic at a university hospital in Rio Grande do Sul.

METHODS

a qualitative, methodological research guided by the Business Model Canvas, with 52 nursing professionals, through non-participant observation and brainstorming, carried out from April to October 2016. The records were analyzed through content analysis.

RESULTS

the product was built with two floors, a retractable table, a removable compartment for disposal and separation of infectious, recyclable and sharps waste, lid opening by a sensor, among others.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

the invention unleashes possibilities to be an innovative instrument aimed at performing safe care in hospital institutions, with a view to reducing professional wear, rework, infection control, and effectiveness of procedures and techniques.
