Terapia Comunitária como cuidado complementar a usuários de drogas e suas contribuições sobre a ansiedade e a depressão

Resumo Objetivo avaliar as contribuições da Terapia Comunitária sobre a ansiedade e a depressão entre usuários de drogas psicoativas. Métodos estudo quase-experimental, realizado com 21 homens residentes em três instituições de saúde mental voltadas à recuperação da dependência química, submetidos a seis rodas de terapia comunitária como processo de intervenção em 2018. A coleta de dados ocorreu em três etapas a partir do uso de um questionário semiestruturado e dois inventários de ansiedade e depressão de Beck. Utilizou-se método estatístico não-paramétricos na comparação dos resultados. Resultados a depressão esteve presente entre 76% dos usuários e a ansiedade entre 48%. Dentre os participantes das rodas, houve uma redução nos níveis de depressão durante e após o processo de intervenção (p=0,016; p=0,004) quando comparado ao estado inicial e para manter a média dos escores de ansiedade no T1 e T2 (9,90; 9,95) se comparado ao T0 (13,10). Conclusão e implicações para a prática o uso da terapia comunitária demonstrou resultados positivos sobre a ansiedade e a depressão, sendo então considerada uma importante ferramenta de cuidado em saúde mental a ser utilizada por enfermeiros, com vistas a ampliar o seu cuidado as pessoas em situação de dependência química, contribuindo ainda para adesão ao tratamento.

Spiritual care performed in a drug user clinic

ABSTRACT Objective: To know the spiritual care practices of health workers in the context of an inpatient unit for the treatment of addictive disorders, aiming to incorporate an expanded care practice. Method: Qualitative study considering the Convergent Care Research theoretical framework. The data collection occurred using semi-structured interviews, with three rounds of conversations and informal chats with 14 health professionals, from July to November 2017. The analysis followed the steps of apprehension, synthesis, theorization and transference. Results: Four categories emerged: respect for user ethical values; addressing the beliefs and values of professionals; the health professional-user relationship; and collective spiritual care. The main actions highlighted were individual (relaxation and prayer) and collective (meditation, spirituality and the 12 steps). Conclusion: The rounds of conversations carried out in this research allowed workers to talk about spiritual care in addiction, to better understand its relevance to meet the needs of the patient.

Anxiolytic Effect of Citrus aurantium L. in Crack Users

The objective of this study was to investigate the anxiolytic effects of the essential oil (EO) of Citrus aurantium L. in patients experiencing crack withdrawal. This was developed with internal users in therapeutic communities in Paraíba, Brazil. The test population consisted of 51 volunteers, subdivided into three groups. To elicit anxiety, the Simulated Public Speaking (SPS) method was used. Physiological measures were assessed at specific phases during the experiment using appropriate equipment. Psychological measures of anxiety were assessed using the Trait-State Anxiety Inventory (IDATE) and the Analog Smoke Scale (HAS). EO was administered by nebulization. The experiment was developed in individual sessions and consolidated to four phases. The results demonstrated that the test subjects in the groups that were given the EO maintained controlled anxiety levels during SPS, when compared to the Control Group (no treatment). Subjects who used the EO also maintained levels of "discomfort" and "cognitive impairment" during SPS. It was concluded that individuals who are experiencing internal crack cocaine withdrawal present high anxiety traits and that nebulization of the EO of Citrus aurantium L. provided an acute anxiolytic effect in crack cocaine users exposed to SPS.
