Abstract
BACKGROUND To assess the multicenter outcomes of posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens implantation with a central hole (EVO-ICL, STAAR Surgical) for patients undergoing previous laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK). METHODS This case series enrolled 31 eyes of 21 consecutive patients undergoing EVO-ICL implantation to correct residual refractive errors after LASIK at 7 nationwide major surgical sites. We investigated safety, efficacy, predictability, stability, and adverse events at 1 week, 1, 3, and 6 months postoperatively, and at the final visit. RESULTS The mean observation period was 1.6 ± 1.8 years. Uncorrected and corrected visual acuities were - 0.14 ± 0.11 and - 0.22 ± 0.09 logMAR at 6 months postoperatively. At 6 months postoperatively, 81% and 100% of eyes were within ± 0.5 D and ± 1.0 D, respectively, of the targeted correction. We found neither significant manifest refraction changes of 0.05 ± 0.38 D from 1 week to 6 months nor apparent intraoperative or postoperative complications in any case. CONCLUSIONS Our multicenter study confirmed that the EVO-ICL provided good outcomes in safety, efficacy, predictability, and stability, even in post-LASIK eyes. Therefore, EVO-ICL implantation may be a viable surgical option, even for correcting residual refractive errors after LASIK. Abstract
Background To investigate the surgical outcomes of implantable collamer lens (ICL) implantation in eyes with residual myopia after primary laser vision correction (LVC) surgeries. Methods This study included patients who underwent ICL implantation and had a history of LVC surgery, including photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) or laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK). Visual acuity and refractive error were assessed pre and 3-months postoperatively and the efficacy and safety indices calculated accordingly. Results A total of 30 eyes of 17 patients were included in this study. At 3 months, the mean logMAR uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), and spherical equivalent were − 0.03 ± 0.11 (include logMAR), − 0.04 ± 0.09 (include logMAR), and − 0.06 ± 0.33 diopters (D), respectively. The 3-month Snellen UDVA was better than 20/20 for 83% of eyes, and 97% of eyes showed an unchanged or improved CDVA after surgery. The mean efficacy and safety indices were 1.11 ± 0.22 and 1.13 ± 0.20, respectively. Further, 93 and 100% of eyes were within ±0.5 and ± 1.0 D of the attempted spherical equivalent refraction, respectively. Conclusions ICL implantation in eyes with myopic regression after previous LVC surgery showed safe, effective, and predictable outcomes. Trial registration retrospectively registered.

Abstract
Purpose To report the outcomes of sequential posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens (PC-pIOL) with corneal refractive surgery in conventional (PC-pIOL prior to refractive surgery) and reverse (refractive surgery prior to PC-pIOL) bioptics for treating high myopic astigmatism. Setting Tertiary refractive center, Draper, Utah, USA. Design Retrospective case series. Methods Medical records of patients who underwent planned bioptics were reviewed. Surgery involved PC-pIOL placement using an implantable collamer lens (ICL) with preceding or subsequent LASIK or PRK. Pre- and postoperative manifest spherical equivalent (SEQ), visual acuity, and PC-pIOL vault were analyzed. Results Of the 51 eyes present at 12 months postoperatively, 49 eyes (96%) achieved target SEQ within ±1.00 D and an identical amount achieved refractive astigmatism ≤1.00 D. Post-bioptics eyes achieved a postoperative UDVA equal to or better than preoperative CDVA in 45 eyes (88%). Efficacy and safety indices were 1.08 ± 0.20 (41 eyes) and 1.13 ± 0.22 (44 eyes) for conventional bioptics and 0.99 ± 0.42 (7 eyes) and 1.15 ± 0.38 (7 eyes) for reverse bioptics eyes at 12 months. The maximum PC-pIOL vault of conventional bioptics eyes (27 eyes) within 6 months before and after LASIK/PRK was 385 ± 159 μm and 377 ± 135 μm, respectively (P = 0.71). Conclusion Bioptics for high myopic astigmatism was safe and effective. Reverse bioptics, although not as traditional, could provide similar results. Additionally, the PC-pIOL vault does not appear to be affected by LASIK/PRK.

Abstract
The present study aimed to assess the visual and refractive outcomes of an implantable collamer lens with a central hole (ICL V4c) for residual refractive error correction after corneal refractive surgery in individuals with myopia. A total of 16 eyes of eight consecutive patients with myopia undergoing ICL V4c implantation after corneal refractive surgery were investigated. The uncorrected visual acuity (VA) and best-corrected VA were examined prior to surgery and at 1, 3 and 6 months after surgery. The post-operative values of the modulation transfer function (MTF) cutoff frequency, Strehl ratio (SR), objective scattering index (OSI) and Optical Quality Analysis System (OQAS) values (OVs) were quantitatively assessed using an OQAS. At 6 months after surgery, the mean uncorrected LogMAR VA was 0.06±0.10 and the values had improved in 100% of the eyes. The mean MTF cutoff frequency, SR, OSI, OV 100%, OV 20% and OV 9%, were 31.294±4.321 cycles/degree, 0.187±0.039, 1.399±0.274, 1.066±0.261, 0.748±0.287 and 0.509±0.229, respectively. In conclusion, ICL V4c implantation for the correction of residual refractive error after corneal refractive surgery appeared feasible and safe and also had an excellent optical performance. However, long-term changes in visual quality require further investigation.

Abstract
AIM To evaluate the changes in higher order aberrations (HOAs) after implantable collamer lens (ICL; Staar Surgical, Nidau, Switzerland) implantation. METHODS Totally 30 eyes of 18 patients with myopia were included in this study with an average age of 25.77y (min: 21, max: 40). Refraction, uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), HOAs (entire, corneal and internal) were evaluated preoperatively and three months postoperatively. Ocular aberrations were measured by using iTrace (Tracey Technology, Houston, Texas, USA). SPSS (IBM Corp. Released 2013. IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 22.0. Armonk, NY: IBM Corp) was used for the statistical analysis and the interpretation of the data. P values of less than 0.05 were considered statistically significant. RESULTS The preoperative mean spherical power was -9.01 D (min: -5.00, max: -13.00) and the mean cylindrical error was -2.40 D (min: -0.50, max: -4.75). The postoperative mean residual spherical power was -0.73 D (min: -0.20, max: -1.75) and the mean cylindrical error was -0.89 D (min: -0.18, max: -2.09). Analyses were made on root mean square (RMS) values of total HOAs (tHOAs), spherical aberration, coma and trefoil as entire, corneal and internal components. The differences in entire tHOAs and in internal tHOAs were significant. There was no significant change found in spherical aberrations. The differences in entire coma and in internal coma were significant. There was no significant change found in corneal coma. With respect to trefoil, the only significant difference was in internal trefoil. CONCLUSION The ICL implantation corrects the refractive error successfully and changes entire and internal HOAs of the eye.

Abstract
Purpose To investigate the long‐term visual quality and stability of implantable collamer lens (ICL) and laser refractive surgery (LRS) for myopia. Methods This study comprised 52 eyes of 26 high‐myopia anisometropia patients who were suitable for surgical treatment. In each patient, the higher‐myopia eye was implanted with ICL and the lower‐myopia eye was treated with LRS. The patients were followed for 3 years. During that time period, uncorrected (UDVA) and corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), refraction, wavefront aberration and visual quality were evaluated. Results The spherical equivalent refractive error changed from −14.11 ± 3.39 D preoperatively to −1.27 ± 1.05 D 3 years after ICL implantation and from −8.75 ± 2.76 D to −1.12 ± 1.30 D after LRS. The changes in refractive error from 1 month to 3 years were −0.52 and −0.77 D for the ICL and LRS groups, respectively. The safety indices (postoperative CDVA/preoperative CDVA) were 1.84 ± 1.00 and 1.32 ± 0.40, and the efficacy indices (postoperative UDVA/preoperative CDVA) were 1.40 ± 1.10 and 1.11 ± 0.44, respectively. The postoperative coma, spherical and total higher‐order aberrations in the ICL group were lower than those in the LRS group. Conclusion Both ICL implantation and LRS are safe and effective procedures for myopia with suitable indications, but ICL implantation is more stable. Fewer induced aberrations are gained after ICL implantation.

Abstract
Purpose To investigate two-year outcomes of Visian Implantable Collamer Lens with a central hole (ICL V4c) implantation for correcting high myopia. Methods Sixty-one eyes of 32 patients went through ICL V4c implantation. Safety, efficacy, predictability, and intraocular pressure were evaluated 2 years postoperatively. Anterior chamber volume (ACV), anterior chamber depth (ACD), anterior chamber angle width (ACAW), and vault were measured using a Scheimpflug tomography imaging system. Results At 2 years, the spherical equivalent refraction decreased from preoperative −14.62 ± 4.29 D to −0.90 ± 0.95 D, with 79% of the eyes within ±0.50 D and 98% within ±1.00 D of the intended correction. The efficacy index was 1.03 ± 0.23, and the safety index was 1.24 ± 0.26. Corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA) remained unchanged in 23% of the eyes, 75% gained one or more lines of CDVA, and 2% lost one line. The ACV, ACD, and ACAW, respectively, decreased from 193.28 ± 29.15 mm3, 3.15 ± 0.23 mm, and 36.51 ± 6.54 degree to 112.48 ± 17.01 mm3, 2.99 ± 0.23 mm, and 22.54 ± 5.27 degree (p=0.0008, 0.008, and 0.0003, resp.). Intraocular pressure was 15.39 ± 2.88 mmHg before surgery and was 15.86 ± 4.11 mmHg at 2 years (p=0.11). Conclusion Implantation of ICL V4c is a safe, effective, and predictable procedure for correcting high myopia. Reduction of anterior chamber space after surgery did not induce intraocular pressure increase during the 2-year follow-up.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To report the clinical outcomes of correcting pseudophakic ametropia using toric implantable collamer lens with a 360 um central hole (TICL V4c). CASE PRESENTATION The right eye of a 22-year-old male patient developed high myopia after unilateral phacoemulsification and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation following traumatic cataract 16 years ago. The manifest refraction was -11.50 DS/-2.50 DC × 175 with an uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA) of 20/2000 and a corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA) of 20/20. The manifest refraction of left eye was -6.25 DS/-3.75 DC × 180 with UDVA 20/200 and CDVA 20/20. Both eyes were implanted posterior chamber TICL V4c lens. Postoperatively, the refractive errors were +1.00 DS/-0.50 DC × 50 with UDVA 20/16 and CDVA 20/16 in the right eye and +0.75 DS/-0.75 DC × 45 with UDVA 20/16 and CDVA 20/13 in the left eye, respectively. No complications were observed. CONCLUSIONS TICL V4c is safe, effective and predictable in managing pseudophakic ametropia.
