Abstract
An 83-year-old woman presents with progressive dyspnea, non-productive cough, and right pleural effusion consistent with exudate. Rapid staining and PCR for mycobacteria, culture, and cytology were negative. A thoracic CT scan revealed a solid lesion, 53 mm in larger diameter, with epicenter in the right crus of the diaphragm, both diaphragmatic and hepatic infiltration, and compression of the inferior vena cava.
