Abstract
To analyze psychological and emotional changes in breast cancer patients at different ages before and after surgery based on data. The clinical data of 363 patients undergoing radical mastectomy for breast cancer in our hospital from December 2019 to December 2021 were selected for retrospective analysis. The patients' psychological and emotional changes before and after surgery were evaluated with the mental health symptom self-rating scale, and patients' quality of life was assessed by World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL)-BREF. On a whole, no significant differences in the patients' scores on somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, dreadness and others before and after surgery were observed (P > 0.05), while their scores on obsessive-compulsive symptom, depression, anxiety, hostility, paranoid ideation and psychopathy as well as the total scores were significantly different (P < 0.05); before and after surgery, patients' psychological scores were not significantly different among the five groups (P > 0.05), but various WHOQOL-BREF scores were significantly different (P < 0.05). Surgical treatment has little impact on the psychological mood of breast cancer patients, obvious difference in quality of life is presented among patients at different ages before and after surgery, and therefore targeted clinical intervention should be given.

Abstract
Bronchoscopy has been widely used for the therapy of lung cancer. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and adverse reactions of bronchoscopic intratumoral injection of endostar and cisplatin in patients with lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). A total of 40 LSCC patients who underwent conventional chemoradiotherapy were included in this study, and 20 of them received a bronchoscopic injection of endostar and cisplatin as an additive therapeutic modality (treatment group). The clinical response rate, progression-free survival (PFS), and adverse reactions of the patients were compared and analyzed. The treatment group had better short- and long-term therapeutic efficacy compared to the control group, but no significant differences were observed between the two therapeutic regimens in adverse reactions. Elderly and advanced LSCC patients had worse therapeutic efficacy and a high probability of adverse reactions after the therapy. Collectively, our analysis data demonstrated that the bronchoscopic intratumoral injection of endostar and cisplatin had improved therapeutic efficacy, and the cardiovascular adverse reactions were within the controllable range in the treatment of LSCC in clinical practices.

Abstract
Bronchoscopy is one of the basic invasive procedures in pulmonology accompanied by patients’ anxiety. This study aimed to find an association between predictors of state anxiety/depression and patient’s quality of life (QOL) with pulmonary symptoms undergoing diagnostic flexible video bronchoscopy (FVB). A total of 125 adult patients before FVB were included in a prospective observational study. The quality of life (QOL) was assessed by WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, the depression possibility by the Beck’s Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), and the anxiety level by Spielberger’s State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-S; STAI-T). Results show that the older patients and patients with more comorbidities showed a significantly higher anxiety level. The previous FVB under deep sedation significantly reduced state anxiety. A significantly positive association was found between the STAI score and total BDI-II score. More severe symptoms of anxiety were especially related to lower QOL (physical health, psychological and environmental domains) in patients. Statistically higher trait anxiety in lower social QOL domain scores was observed. Our findings show that high state and trait anxiety were associated with higher depression scores and lower quality of life in the elderly. It seems that the elderly and patients at risk of depression development require more attention in the clinical setting to minimize the anxiety accompanying the bronchoscopy.
