Abstract
We have developed a straightforward and rapid methodology for the synthesis of tetrasubstituted allenes bearing carboxylic acids in the 1,3-position through the gold(I)-catalyzed nucleophilic addition of bis(trimethylsilyl)ketene acetals to ynones. The reaction was evaluated with several substrates, and 21 allenes were obtained in moderate to good yields. Using DFT calculations, we studied the mechanism of the reaction, which suggested a nucleophilic 1,4-addition pathway. The potential of allenes to act as a source of highly functionalized lactones was also explored.

Abstract
Vinylallenes have been recognized as versatile C2 and C4 components for nickel-catalyzed intramolecular [4+2] and [2+2] cycloadditions. The former reaction was promoted by a Ni(0) complex (up to quantitative yield), and a Ni(II) salt was a key species for the latter reaction to give the corresponding regio- and stereocontrolled cycloadducts (up to 88% yield). DFT studies revealed that both reaction pathways involve a concerted mechanism through the activation of different C-C multiple bonds in the substrates.

Abstract
The first catalytic enantioselective ruthenium-catalyzed carbonyl reductive couplings of allene pronucleophiles is described. Using an iodide-modified ruthenium-BINAP-catalyst and O-benzhydryl alkoxyallene 1a, carbonyl (α-alkoxy)allylation occurs from the alcohol or aldehyde oxidation level to form enantiomerically enriched syn-sec,tert-diols. Internal chelation directs intervention of (Z)-σ-alkoxyallylruthenium isomers, which engage in stereospecific carbonyl addition.

Abstract
The intramolecular [4+2] cycloaddition between arenes and allenes first reported by Himbert gives rapid access to rigid polycyclic scaffolds. Herein, we report a one-pot oxyalkynylation/cycloaddition reaction proceeding under mild conditions (23-90 °C) and providing complex polycyclic architectures with high efficiency, and atom and step economy. The bicyclo[2.2.2]octadiene products were obtained with a wide variety of useful functional groups and were successfully applied as chiral ligands for metal catalysis. Computational studies gave a first rationalization of the low activation energy for the cycloaddition based on counter-intuitive favorable dispersive interactions in the transition state.

Abstract
Green chemistry plays an important role in the development of sustainable production
systems which involves tremendous research efforts on the design of synthetic
and analytical techniques through resource-efficient ways. The improvement in synthetic
reaction performances encourages the modern society to minimize energy and reagent
consumption and waste generation. Explosion of the chemicals are referred as extremely
toxic substances and have been allied with major harmful health effects, though no cure
has been established due to the lack of curative therapeutic approaches. In view of the
facts, green chemistry strategies trigger a new hope in the synthesis of safer biologically
active compounds to meet the demands of disease free environment. Here, we highlighted
the development of various compounds and greener techniques such as ultrasoundassisted
method, microwave-assisted method, green solvent reactions, solvent free reactions, biomolecules and
nanoformulations as a new healthy approach.
