Abstract
The first copper-catalyzed three-component annulation of α,β-unsaturated ketoximes, 1,3-dicarbonyls and paraformaldehyde has been documented. This novel strategy achieved the two C-C bond cleavage of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds directly as a single-carbon synthon and provided a new and highly efficient method for the synthesis of 2,3-disubstituted pyrroles in moderate to good yields with broad functional group compatibility.

Abstract
A modular synthesis of highly substituted 3-azapyrroles has been developed using a three-step sequence comprising copper-catalyzed alkyne-azide cycloaddition (CuAAC), N-H bond insertion, and cyclodehydration. 1-Sulfonyl-1,2,3-triazoles (1-STs) can be accessed from common alkyne and sulfonyl azide building blocks by CuAAC using CuTC. Rhodium(II)-acetate-promoted 1-ST denitrogenation results in highly electrophilic rhodium azavinyl carbenes that, here, underwent insertion into the N-H bond of secondary α-aminoketones to form 1,2-aminoalkenes. These products were cyclized and dehydrated using BF3·OEt2 into highly substituted 3-azapyrroles. The three steps (CuAAC, N-H bond insertion, and cyclodehydration) could be telescoped into a one-pot process. The method proved to be highly efficient and tolerated a wide range of substituents.

Abstract
Polycyclic alkaloid natural products featuring pyrrolidine and pyrrolidinone motifs remain enduring targets of total synthesis endeavors. Pyrrole and its derivatives have been exploited to access many such frameworks, including alkaloids belonging to the Aspidosperma, Stemona, and batzelladine families. In this article, a selection of exemplars that highlight the utility of pyrrole-based approaches to facilitate total syntheses of pyrrolidine- and pyrrolidinone-containing alkaloids and related molecules are showcased.

Green Synthesis of New Pyrrolo [1,2-a] quinoxalines as Antiproliferative Agents in GPER-expressing Breast Cancer Cells. J CHEM-NY 2021. Abstract
4,5-Dihydropyrrolo [1,2-a]quinoxalines are interesting druggable scaffolds, with multifaceted biological properties, including anticancer properties targeting the G protein-coupled estrogen receptor 1 (GPER). In this work, the synthesis and preliminary antiproliferative activity of a small set of new 4,5-dihydropyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalines (18-20) and pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalines (21, 22) has been reported, inspired by known antiproliferative agents (G-1, G-15, and G-36). The synthesis of the pyrroloquinoxalinic core was employed following the Pictet–Spengler reaction, using the surfactant p-dodecylbenzene sulphonic acid (p-DBSA), as catalyst. It demonstrated efficiency in the catalysis of the 4-phenylpyrrole [1,2-a] quinoxaline type compound formation in mild solvents such as water, ethanol, and hydroalcoholic solutions. In addition, the reactions proceeded in a short time (between 15 and 120 minutes) at room temperature and with high yields. The in vitro MTT assays showed that the presence of isopropyl groups furnished promising antiproliferative compounds. Although, the acetyl group provided also antiproliferative effects, breaking down its responsibility in the GPER transactivation. Nevertheless, it is possible to conclude that the 4,5-dihydropyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalines remain a feasible scaffold to develop anticancer agents against GPER-expressing cells.

Abstract
Herein, we report an N-alkylation of pyrroles triggered by an unprecedented selective ring-expansive migration of the spiro-2H-pyrrole intermediates obtained via Ir-catalyzed asymmetric allylic dearomatization. The reaction affords a series of tetrahydropyrrolo[1,2-c]pyrimidine derivatives in good yields (up to 88%) with excellent enantioselectivity (up to >99% ee). The proposed reaction mechanism is supported by DFT calculations and the characterization of the key intermediate.

Abstract
We herein describe a simple and metal-free domino methodology to synthesize 2-aminopyrroles from alkynyl vinyl hydrazides. The domino reaction involves a novel propargylic 3,4-diaza-Cope rearrangement and a tandem isomerization/5-exo-dig N-cyclization reaction. By using this approach, a number of 2-aminopyrroles with diverse substituents have been prepared.

Abstract
Reported herein is a synthetic method of polysubstituted pyrroles from easily available materials, 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds and primary amines, via electro-oxidative intermolecular annulation. Under similar conditions, enamines are also converted smoothly into desired products, indicating that in situ formed enamines are crucial intermediates for the first transformation. Neither transition-metal salts nor harsh conditions are required to facilitate the dehydrocyclization process.
