Abstract
Hypothyroidism is a prevalent thyroid condition in which the thyroid gland fails to secrete an adequate amount of thyroid hormone into the bloodstream. This condition may develop due to genetic or acquired factors. The most frequent cause of acquired hypothyroidism is chronic autoimmune thyroiditis, also known as Hashimoto's disease. Acquired hypothyroidism is diagnosed when patients present with overt hypothyroidism (also known as clinical hypothyroidism), as they exhibit increased TSH and decreased T3 and T4 serum levels. This article examines the prevalence of psychiatric disorders among patients diagnosed with acquired hypothyroidism with or without Levothyroxine treatment. We discuss the available evidence indicating that acquired hypothyroidism may be a risk factor for psychiatric disorders, and the effectiveness of thyroid treatment in relieving psychiatric symptoms. Additionally, we provide critical details on thyroid hormone cutoff values reported in the literature, their potential clinical importance, and their correlation with psychiatric symptoms. Finally, we examined the various mechanisms by which acquired hypothyroidism can lead to depression. The high rate of comorbidity between hypothyroidism and psychiatric disorders deserves special attention, indicating the importance of consistent monitoring and timely identification of psychiatric symptoms to prevent disease exacerbation and facilitate therapeutic management. On the other hand, several mechanisms underlie the strong association between depression and acquired hypothyroidism. Deeper research into these mechanisms will allow knowledge of the pathophysiology of depression in patients with acquired hypothyroidism and will provide clues to design more precise therapeutic strategies for these patients.

Abstract
Many children and adults who have suffered prenatal hypoxia at an early age develop many serious diseases. This disease is an actual problem of pediatric cardiology and little studied. The aim was to analyze the cardioprotective effect of L-arginine, Thiotriazoline, Angioline, and Mildronate on the cardiovascular system of rats after prenatal hypoxia. Methods: The experiments were carried out on 50 female white rats; intraperitoneal sodium nitrite solution was administered daily to pregnant female rats after 16 days at a dose of 50 mg/kg. Control pregnant rats received saline. The offspring were divided into groups: 1-intact; 2-the control group of rat pups after PH, treated daily with physiological saline; 3-six groups of rat pups after PH, treated daily from the 1st to the 30th day after birth. Heat shock protein HSP70 was determined by enzyme immunoassay, ST2 Nitrotyrosine, and eNOS was observed by ELISA. Results: Angiolin showed a high cardioprotective effect even a month after discontinuation of the drug, and after introduction, the highest decrease in ST2 nitrotyrosine was revealed. Thiotriazoline and L-arginine have an antioxidant effect and a positive effect on eNOS expression, increasing the concentration of HSP70. Mildronate increased the expression of eNOS and the concentration of HSP70 in the blood of experimental rats after a course of administration, but did not show an antioxidant effect and did not reduce the concentration of nitrotyrosine. The results obtained indicate the cardioprotective effect of modulators of the NO system with different mechanisms of action of drugs after prenatal hypoxia.

Abstract
Intrauterine hypoxia in newborns leads to a multifaceted array of alterations that exert a detrimental impact on the cardiovascular system. The aim of this research was to assess the cardioprotective effects of modulators of the nitric oxide (NO) system, including L-arginine, Thiotriazoline, Angiolin, and Mildronate, during the early postnatal period following intrauterine hypoxia. Methods: The study involved 50 female white rats. Pregnant female rats were given a daily intraperitoneal dose of 50 mg/kg of sodium nitrite starting on the 16th day of pregnancy. A control group of pregnant rats received saline instead. The resulting offspring were divided into the following groups: Group 1-intact rats; Group 2-rat pups subjected to prenatal hypoxia (PH) and daily treated with physiological saline; and Groups 3 to 6-rat pups exposed to prenatal hypoxia and treated daily from the 1st to the 30th day after birth. Nitrotyrosine levels, eNOS, iNOS, and NO metabolites were evaluated using ELISA; to measure the expression levels of iNOS mRNA and eNOS mRNA, a PCR test was utilized. Results: Angiolin enhances the expression of eNOS mRNA and boosts eNOS activity in the myocardium of rats with ischemic conditions. Arginine and particularly Thiotriazoline exhibited a consistent impact in restoring normal parameters of the cardiac nitroxidergic system following PH. Mildronate notably raised iNOS mRNA levels and notably reduced nitrotyrosine levels, providing further support for its antioxidative characteristics.

Abstract
Objective: Since the association between thyroid dysfunction and neuropsychiatric disorders has been known for many years, it is important to analyze the associations of the BDNF gene polymorphism (rs6265), the VDR gene polymorphism (rs2228570), and the NMDA gene polymorphism (rs4880213) with the anxiety in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis and hypothyroidism in the Western Ukrainian population and predict the development of anxiety disorders in these patients.
Methods: The study involved a total of 153 patients with various forms of thyroid pathology. BDNF levels in the sera of the patients and healthy individuals were quantified using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with a highly sensitive Human BDNF ELISA Kit (Elabscience®, United States, Catalog No: E-EL-H0010) on E.I.A. Reader Sirio S (Seac, Italy). Genotyping of the VDR (rs2228570), BDNF (rs6265), and NMDA (rs4880213) gene polymorphism using TaqMan probes and TaqMan Genotyping Master Mix (4371355) on CFX96™Real-Time PCR Detection System (Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., USA). Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for TaqMan genotyping was carried out according to the kit instructions (Applied Biosystems, USA).
Results: According to the data obtained when comparing the presence of anxiety on the Hamilton scale on SNP statistically significant differences were revealed depending on BDNF gene polymorphism (rs6265) (p < 0.001). When comparing the presence of anxiety on the Hamilton scale on SNP depending on VDR gene polymorphism (rs2228570), NMDA gene polymorphism (rs4880213) no statistically significant differences were revealed (p = 0.782, p = 0.677 respectively) We identified an inverse strong correlation between the presence of anxiety on Hamilton scale and BDNF, 25-OH Vitamin D levels, and fT4 in the blood (p <0.001) and a direct moderate correlation between the presence of anxiety on Hamilton scale and TSH, GRIN2B, and anti-TPO (p <0.001).
Conclusion: Indicators such as BDNF, GRIN2B, fT4, anti-TG, and 25-OH levels of vitamin D are prognostically significant risk criteria for anxiety.

Abstract
Objective. The aim of the present work is to define the risk factors that can affect the presence of a cognitive impairment and analyze the associations of the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) gene polymorphism (rs6265), vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphism (rs2228570), and N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor gene polymorphism (rs4880213) with the cognitive impairment in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis and hypothyroidism in the Western Ukraine population and predict the development of cognitive disorders in these patients.
Methods. The study involved 153 patients with various forms of thyroid pathology (hypothyroidism, autoimmune thyroiditis, elevated serum antibodies anti-thyroglobulin and anti-thyroid peroxidase). Cognitive impairment in the examined patients was evaluated based on the results of the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) test. BDNF, GRIN2B, and 25-OH Vitamin D levels in the serum of the patients and healthy individuals were quantified using highly sensitive commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits. Genotyping of the VDR (rs2228570), BDNF (rs6265), and NMDA receptor (rs4880213) gene polymorphism was performed using TaqMan probes and Taq-Man Genotyping Master Mix (4371355) on CFX96™Real-Time PCR Detection System. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for TaqMan genotyping was carried out according to the kit instructions.
Results. Strong direct relationship between the “Level GRIN2B” and cognitive impairments (p=0.006) was established after evaluating the complex model based on the values of the regression coefficient. An increase in the likelihood of cognitive impairment by 24.898-fold (p=0.012) was seen after assessing the effect of the CT rs6265 genotype. In addition, direct relationship between the influence of the TT rs6265 genotype and an increase in the likelihood of cognitive impairment by a factor of 21.734 (p=0.024) was also established.
Conclusion. The present data indicate that the BDNF, TSH, fT4, and vitamin D levels prognostically belong to the significant indicators of the cognitive impairment development.

Abstract
Thyroid hormones (THs) play an important role in the regulation of energy metabolism. They also take part in processes associated with the central nervous system (CNS), including survival and differentiation of neurons and energy expenditure. It has been reported that a correlation exists between the functioning of the thyroid gland and the symptoms of CNS such as cognitive impairment, depression, and dementia. Literature data also indicate the influence of THs on the pathogenesis of CNS diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, depression, and Parkinson's disease. This review describes the relationship between THs and metabolism in the CNS, the effect of THs on the pathological conditions of the CNS, and novel options for treating these conditions with TH derivatives.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Alterations in the transcriptional activity of some immunoregulatory genes can play a key in the pathogenesis of acute urticarial (AU). Minimally-invasive markers of the transcriptional activity of immune response genes are essential not only for predicting the severity and activity of the disease but also as a potential target for therapy.
METHODS: In our research, we applied a pathway-specific polymerase chain reaction PCR array (Human Innate and Adaptive Immune Responses RT2 Profiler PCR Array, QIAGEN, Germany) to detect and verify innate and adaptive immune responses pathway-focused genes expression in patients suffering from AU and control group.
RESULTS: The AU development was accompanied by an increase in the transcriptional activity of genes for a number of costimulation molecules such as CD40, CD40LG, CD80 (B7-1), and C-reactive protein and myeloperoxidase genes either. Under AU conditions, transcriptional induction of genes of several cytokines was also observed: Interferon gamma, interleukin (IL4), IL5, IL17A, tumor necrosis factor, and also chemokine CXCL8. This process was also accompanied by an increase in the transcriptional activity of the RAR-related orphan receptor C Th17 differentiation regulator, the NLRP3 inflammasome genes, and the NFKB1 transcription factor. Such changes occurred against the background of transcriptional repression of the FOXP3 gene and the Treg-dependent suppressor cytokine IL10. The expression of other studied genes did not differ significantly from the controls.
CONCLUSIONS: The development of acute urticaria led to the transcriptional activation of pro-inflammatory signaling against the background of a deficiency of the suppressor link. Detected changes in gene expression can be important for targeted therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) is a T cell-mediated organ-specific disorder and transcription factors have a critical role in the regulation of immune responses, especially in the fate of T-helper cells. OBJECTIVE This study aims to investigate changes in the gene expression profile of transcription factors and regulators in patients with different forms of thyroid pathology Methods. We used the pathway-specific real-time PCR array (Neurotrophins and Receptors RT2 Profiler PCR Array, QIAGEN, Germany) to identify and verify transcription factors and regulators pathway-focused genes expression in peripheral white blood cells of patients with postoperative hypothyroidism, hypothyroidism as a result of AIT and AIT with elevated serum an anti-thyroglobulin (anti-Tg) and anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO) antibodies. RESULTS It was shown that in patients with postoperative hypothyroidism FOS, NR1I2, STAT4, and TP53 significantly increased their expression whereas the expression of STAT1, STAT2, and STAT3 decreased. In patients with hypothyroidism as a result of AIT, we have found increased expression of NR1I2, STAT2, and STAT3. In contrast, the expression of STAT1 and TP53 decreased. FOS and STAT4 mRNAs did not change their expression. In patients with AIT and elevated serum anti-Tg and anti-TPO antibodies, the expression of FOS and NR1I2 reduced whereas the mRNA level of STAT3 increased. STAT1, STAT2, and STAT4 mRNAs did not change their expression. MYC did not change its expression in all groups of patients. CONCLUSIONS The results of this study demonstrate that autoimmune thyroiditis and hypothyroidism affect the mRNA-level expression of transcription factors and regulators genes in a gene-specific manner and that these changes to genes expression can be among the triggers of autoimmune inflammation progression in the thyroid gland.

PCR for TaqMan genotyping was carried out according to the kit instructions (Applied Biosystems, USA). We used the Student’s t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s Chi-square test, ROC-analysis, odds ratio test, relative odds ratio test. The odds ratio and 95% confidence interval were computed by binary logistic regression.
RESULTS: When comparing the presence of depression on the Hamilton scale, statistically significant differences were found depending on BDNF gene polymorphism (rs6265) (p < 0.001), and non-statistically noticeable differences were detected depending on the VDR gene polymorphism (rs2228570) and NMDA gene polymorphism (rs4880213). Our study revealed a marked inverse connection between depression and BDNF levels (p < 0.001) and a reverse moderate correlation between depression and fT4 (p < 0.001) and 25-OH Vitamin D levels (p < 0.001). In addition, we identified a direct moderate correlation between pronounced levels of depression and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in the blood (p < 0.001).
CONCLUSIONS: Indicators such as BDNF, TSH, fT4, anti-TPO, and 25-OH Vitamin D levels were found to be prognostically significant criteria for the risk of developing depression.

Abstract
The article discusses a new hypothesis that autoimmune diseases of the thyroid gland can lead to depression and neurological complications. It is believed that the neuronal N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor plays a significant role in depression pathophysiology and neurological and mental diseases, respectively. The study involved 153 patients with various forms of thyroid pathology. GRIN2B levels in the sera of the patients and healthy individuals were quantified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with highly sensitive Human GRIN2B (Glutamate Receptor, Ionotropic, N-Methyl-D-Aspartate 2B) ELISA Kit. Genotyping of the glutamate ionotropic receptor NMDA type subunit 1, GRIN1 (rs4880213) gene polymorphism. The CT genotype of the NMDA gene (rs4880213) was predominant in the surveyed population. The C allele of the NMDA gene was more frequent than the T allele among patients with thyroid disease. GRIN2B levels were significantly decreased in patients with postoperative hypothyroidism 3.45 times, and in patients with AIT-induced hypothyroidism, there was a probable increase in GRIN2B levels by 1.58 times compared with controls. GRIN2B levels were significantly different in patients of different groups depending on thyroid pathology. Our study showed direct close correlation (r=0.635) between GRIN2B and anti-TPO levels (p<0.001), a significant direct close correlation (r=0.527) between GRIN2B and anti-TG levels in the blood (p<0.001). Our results allow us to consider the GRIN2B level as an important prognostic minimally invasive marker of neurological complications in endocrine pathology.

Abstract
Objective. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is identified as an important growth factor involved in learning and memory. Patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis can suffer from cognitive dysfunction, whereas BDNF is directly regulated by thyroid hormones. It seems reasonable to propose that changes in BDNF expression underlie some of the persistent neurological impairments associated with hypothyroidism. Methods. The study involved a total of 153 patients with various forms of thyroid pathology. BDNF levels in the sera of the patients and healthy individuals were quantified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with highly sensitive Human BDNF ELISA Kit. Genotyping of the BDNF (rs6265) gene polymorphism using TaqMan probes and TaqMan Genotyping Master Mix (4371355) on CFX96™Real-Time PCR Detection System. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for TaqMan genotyping was carried out according to the kit instructions. Results. Distribution rs6265 variants in the patients depending on the different types of thyroid pathology showed no significant difference in the relative frequency of BDNF polymorphic variants. Presence of hypothyroidism, regardless of its cause (autoimmune or postoperative), there was a decrease in the serum BDNF levels in all genotypes carriers compared with the control group. The analysis of the correlation between BDNF levels and the levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), thyroxine (T4), anti-thyroglobulin (anti-Tg), and anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO) antibodies showed a significant inverse relationship between BDNF and TSH levels (p<0.001), a direct correlation between BDNF and T4 levels in the blood (p<0.001), and a weak direct relationship between anti-Tg and BDNF levels (p=0.0157). Conclusion. The C allele presence is protective and associates with the lowest chances for reduced serum BDNF levels in thyroid pathology patients in the West-Ukrainian population. However, the T-allele increases the risk of low BDNF levels almost 10 times in observed subjects.

Abstract
Background: A number of the main effects of glucocorticoids (GCs) are their direct action on T cells, mainly through the transcriptional regulation: elevated expression of immune-regulatory proteins, inhibitory receptors, and reduced expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, co-stimulatory molecules, and cell cycle mediators. But controversies arise due to the clinical effectiveness of GCs in the treatment of acute urticaria.
Methods: In our research, we applied a pathway-specific PCR array (Human Innate & Adaptive Immune Responses RT2 Profiler PCR Array, QIAGEN, Germany) to detect and verify innate & adaptive immune responses pathway-focused genes expression in the blood of patients with acute urticaria who received treatment with glucocorticoids in addition to standard therapy.
Results: Adding glucocorticoids to standard therapy did not notably affect the nature of the clinical presentation of acute urticaria, which was assessed according to the UAS scale (urticaria activity score). Analysis of the transcriptional profile of peripheral blood mononuclear cells in patients with acute urticaria against the background of glucocorticoid therapy showed the induction expression of the FOXP3 and IL10 genes against the background of repression of the transcriptional activity of the genes for chemokines and cytokines CCL5, CXCL8, IFNG, IL2, IL5, IL17A, IL1B, and TNF. Glucocorticoid-induced changes in the transcriptome also manifested by pronounced repression in genes of CD40 and CD80 (B7-1) co-stimulatory molecules, transcriptional regulators of Th1-cells differentiation - TBX21 and STAT1, Th17 cells - RORC, NLRP3-inflammasome genes, and the transcription factor NFKB1 compared with the control group.
Conclusions: Adding glucocorticoids to the standard therapy of acute urticaria has a pronounced immunosuppressive potential at the transcriptome level of immune response genes in the blood; however, it does not have any noticeable clinical effect.

Abstract
Multiple susceptibility genes can be involved in the development of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Some of these genes are implicated in other autoimmune diseases, while others are specific to thyroid autoimmune response. 153 patients with thyroid pathology were enrolled in the study (152 women and 1 man, the average age was 46,02±14,3). They were divided into 3 groups: 16 patients with postoperative hypothyroidism; 65 patients with hypothyroidism resulting from autoimmune thyroiditis, and 72 patients with both AIT and elevated serum an anti-thyroglobulin and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies. We used a pathway-specific real-time Polymerase chain reaction array to identify and verify cytokines and receptor pathway-associated gene expression in peripheral white blood cells in randomly selected 12 individuals from each group. In the patients with postoperative hypothyroidism and those with hypothyroidism resulting from autoimmune thyroiditis, the expression of Chemokine (C-X3-C motif) receptor 1, Chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 4, Interleukin 6, and Interleukin 6 receptor significantly decreased, while the expression of IL6ST and IL10RA increased. In contrast, mRNA levels of Chemokine (C-X3-C motif) receptor 1, Chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 4, Interleukin 6, and Interleukin 6 receptor increased in the autoimmune thyroiditis patients with elevated serum anti-thyroglobulin and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies, while the expression of Interleukin 6 signal transducer and Interleukin 10 receptor, alpha decreased in this group of patients. The patients with hypothyroidism resulting from autoimmune thyroiditis and patients with elevated serum anti-thyroglobulin and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies had significantly lowered expression of Interleukin 10, while the expression of Interleukin 1, beta and Interleukin 1 receptor, type I was elevated. autoimmune thyroiditis and hypothyroidism affect the mRNA-level expression of cytokines and cytokine receptor genes in a gene-specific manner, and these changes to gene expression can be among the triggers of autoimmune inflammation progression in the thyroid gland. Transcriptional activity of cytokines, inducer, and receptor genes in the peripheral white blood cells can be used as an important minimally invasive prognostic marker of the autoimmune thyroid disease severity.

Abstract
Vitamin D is known to alter immune regulation. It binds to the vitamin D receptors (VDR) expressed on T lymphocytes and macrophages. In individuals with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, serum vitamin D levels were found to be lower compared to healthy controls. The study’s objective was to investigate the association between VDR gene polymorphism (rs2228570) with blood serum levels of 25-OH vitamin D in patients with thyroid pathology from western Ukraine. The study involved a total of 153 patients with various forms of thyroid pathology. 25-OH vitamin D levels in the serum of the patients and healthy individuals were quantified with ELISA using the 25-OH vitamin D Total (Vit D-Direct) Test System ELISA Kit (Monobind Inc.®, United States, Product Code: 9425-300) on the EIA Reader Sirio S (Seac, Italy). Genotyping of the VDR (rs2228570) gene polymorphism was performed using TaqMan probes and TaqMan Genotyping Master Mix (4371355) on CFX96™Real-Time PCR Detection System (Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., USA). Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for TaqMan genotyping was carried out according to the kit instructions (Applied Biosystems, USA). Our research identified that that genotype variants of VDR rs2228570 are not risk factors for reduced serum 25-OH vitamin D or vitamin D deficiency in patients with various forms of thyroid pathology patients in the West-Ukrainian population. Vitamin D levels were significantly lower in the carriers of AA and AG genotypes with hypothyroidism caused by autoimmune thyroiditis. In AA genotype carriers with postoperative hypothyroidism, 25-OH vitamin D levels were significantly lower compared to AA genotype carriers with autoimmune thyroiditis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND: Different polymorphisms in Vitamin D receptors (VDRs) have an important role in autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) risk. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) is the most recurrent autoimmune thyroid disorder. Patients with HT may suffer from cognitive impairment brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) which has been identified as an important growth factor that is involved in learning and memory.
AIM: This study examined the linkage of VDR gene polymorphism (rs2228570) with blood serum levels of BDNF and 25-OH Vitamin D in thyroid pathology of patients in the West Ukrainian population.
METHODS: This research is a case–control study was performed in HSEEU “Bukovinian State Medical University,” Chernivtsi Regional Endocrinology Center, and I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Ukraine, from September 2017 to December 2020. The study involved a total of 153 patients with post-operative hypothyroidism, hypothyroidism induced by AIT, and patients with both AIT and elevated serum antibodies anti-thyroglobulin (anti-Tg) and anti-thyroid peroxidase. BDNF levels in the sera of the patients and healthy individuals were quantified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with highly sensitive Human BDNF ELISA Kit. Genotyping of the VDR (rs2228570) gene polymorphism using TaqMan probes and TaqMan Genotyping Master Mix (4371355) on CFX96™ Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Detection System (Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., USA). PCR for TaqMan genotyping was carried out according to the kit instructions (Applied Biosystems, USA).
RESULTS: Our study revealed a significant decrease in the BDNF level in the study group in carriers of the AA and AG genotypes by 1.58 and 2.39 times, corresponding, compared with carriers of the AA genotype in the control group. Concurrently, there was no significant difference in the BDNF level between different genotypes of VDR rs2228570 in the research group. In our study, analysis of the correlation between serum BDNF levels and 25-OH Vitamin D concentration shows a moderate direct relationship (r = 0.4) between BDNF and 25-OH Vitamin D (p = 0.006).
CONCLUSIONS: The rs2228570 VDR polymorphism is not a risk factor for decreased serum BDNF levels. At the same time, our study found a moderate direct relationship between serum BDNF levels and 25-OH Vitamin D.

Abstract
Objective. Thyroid hormone has an especially strong impact on central nervous system development, and thyroid hormone deficiency has been shown to result in severe mental retardation. It is crucial to identify compensatory mechanisms that can be involved in improving cognitive function and the quality of life of patients with hypothyroidism.
Methods: We used the pathway-specific PCR array (Neurotrophins and Receptors RT2 Profiler PCR Array, QIAGEN, Germany) to identify and validate neurotrophins genes and their receptor expression in patients with thyroid pathology and control group.
Results: The analysis of gene expression of neurotrophins and their receptors showed that CRHBP, FRS2, FRS3, GFRA1, GFRA2, GMFB, NGF, NRG2, NRG4, NTF4, TRO, and VGF significantly decreased their expression in Group 3, which includes the patients with postoperative hypothyroidism. The patients with primary hypothyroidism stemming from AIT had significantly reduced expression of CRHBP, GFRA1, GFRA2, GMFB, NGF, PTGER2, and VGF, while the expression of NRG4 and TRO increased. In Group 3, which includes the patients with AIT and elevated serum anti-Tg and anti-TPO autoantibodies, the mRNA levels of GFRA2, NGF, NRG2, NTF4, NGF, PTGER were reduced, and the expression of CRHBP, FRS2, FRS3 GFRA1, GMFB, NRG4, TRO, and VGF significantly increased.
Conclusion: These results indicate significant variability in the transcriptional activity of the genes of encoding neurotrophins and their receptors in the peripheral blood in people with thyroid diseases.
