Abstract
Textile industry is one of the oldest industries existing from several centuries. Major concern of the industry is to design, produce, and distribute yarn, cloth, and clothing. Diverse physical and chemical operations are required in order to achieve this. Environmental concerns related to textile industry have attained attention all around the world as it is generating large amounts of effluents having various toxic agents and chemicals. Enzymes have been suggested as the best possible alternative to replace or reduce these hazardous and toxic chemicals. Enzymes like amylase, cellulase, catalase, protease, pectinase, laccase, and lipase have widely been used in textile manufacturing processes. Use of enzymatic approach is very promising as they are eco-friendly, produce high-quality products, and lead to the reduction of energy, water, and time. This review highlights the significance of different enzymes employed in the textile industry at various stages along with the conventional textile processing.

Abstract
Sulfur is a vital element that all living things require, being a component of proteins and other bio-organic substances. The various kinds and varieties of microbes in nature allow for the transformation of this element. It also should be emphasized that volatile sulfur compounds are typically present in food in trace amounts. Life cannot exist without sulfur, yet it also poses a potential health risk. The colon's sulfur metabolism, which is managed by eukaryotic cells, is much better understood than the S metabolism in gastrointestinal bacteria. Numerous additional microbial processes are anticipated to have an impact on the content and availability of sulfated compounds, as well as intestinal S metabolism. Hydrogen sulfide is the sulfur derivative that has attracted the most attention in relation to colonic health, but it is still unclear whether it is beneficial or harmful. Several lines of evidence suggest that sulfate-reducing bacteria or exogenous hydrogen sulfide may be the root cause of intestinal ailments, including inflammatory bowel diseases and colon cancer. Taurine serves a variety of biological and physiological purposes, including roles in inflammation and protection, additionally, low levels of taurine can be found in bodily fluids, and taurine is the primary sulfur component present in muscle tissue (serum and urine). The aim of this scoping review was to compile data from the most pertinent scientific works about S compounds' existence in food and their metabolic processes. The importance of S compounds in various food products and how these compounds can impact metabolic processes are both stressed in this paper.

Abstract
In this work, the application of chemical surfactants, including cooking aids, detergents, surface sizing agents, and deinking agents as core components, is introduced in the wet end of pulping and papermaking. This method for the combined application of enzymes and surfactants has expanded, promoting technological updates and improving the effect of surfactants in practical applications. Finally, the potential substitution of green surfactants for chemical surfactants is discussed. The source, classification, and natural functions of green surfactants are introduced, including plant extracts, biobased surfactants, fermentation products, and woody biomass. These green surfactants have advantages over their chemically synthesized counterparts, such as their low toxicity and biodegradability. This article reviews the latest developments in the application of surfactants in different paper industry processes and extends the methods of use. Additionally, the application potential of green surfactants in the field of papermaking is discussed. Abstract
The term hemicellulose groups different polysaccharides with heterogeneous structures, mannans, xyloglucans, mixed-linkage β-glucans and xylans, which differ in their backbone and branches, and in the type and distribution of glycosidic linkages. The enzymatic degradation of these complex polymers requires the concerted action of multiple hemicellulases and auxiliary enzymes. Most commercial enzymes are produced by Trichoderma and Aspergillus species, but recent studies have disclosed Penicillium and Talaromyces as promising sources of hemicellulases. In this review, we summarize the current knowledge on the hemicellulolytic system of these genera, and the role of hemicellulases in the disruption and synthesis of glycosidic bonds. In both cases, the enzymes from Penicillium and Talaromyces represent an interesting alternative for valorization of lignocellulosic biomass in the current framework of circular economy.

Abstract
Objective In this study, two glycosidases (XMosidases), β-xylosidase and β-mannosidase, were investigated on their in vitro hydrolysis activities of feed and on the improvement of growth performance in vivo in weanling pigs. Methods Enzyme activities of XMosidases in vitro were evaluated in test tubes and simulation of gastric and small intestinal digestion, respectively, in the presence of NSPase. In vivo study was performed in 108 weaned piglets in a 28-d treatment. Pigs were allotted to one of three dietary treatments with six replicate pens in each treatment. The three treatment groups were as follows: i) Control (basal diet); ii) CE (basal diets+CE); iii) CE-Xmosidases (basal diets+ CE+β-xylosidase at 800 U/kg and β-mannosidase at 40 U/kg). CE was complex enzymes (amylase, protease, xylanase, and mannanase). Results In vitro XMosidases displayed significant activities on hydrolysis of corn and soybean meal in the presence of non-starch polysaccharide degrading enzymes (xylanase and β-mannanase). In vitro simulation of gastric and small intestinal digestion by XMosidases showed XMosidases achieved 67.89%±0.22% of dry matter digestibility and 63.12%±0.21% of energy digestibility at 40°C for 5 hrs. In weanling pigs, additional XMosidases to CE in feed improved average daily gain, feed conversion rate (p<0.05), and apparent total tract digestibility of crude protein (p = 0.01) and dry matter (p = 0.02). XMosidases also altered the gut bacterial diversity and composition by increasing the proportion of beneficial bacteria. Conclusion Addition of a complex enzyme supplementation (contained xylanase, β-mannanase, protease and amylase), XMosidases (β-xylosidase and β-mannosidase) can further improve the growth performance and nutrient digestion of young pigs.

Abstract
Carrageenan, one of the phycocolloids is a sulfated galactan made up of linear chains of galactose and 3,6-anhydrogalactose with alternating α-(1 → 3) and β-(1 → 4) linkages and further classified based on the number and the position of sulfated ester(s); κ-, ι- and λ-carrageenan. Enzymes which degrade carrageenans are called k-, ι-, and λ-carrageenases. They all are endohydrolases that cleave the internal β-(1-4) linkages of carrageenans yielding products of the oligo-carrageenans. These enzymes are produced only by bacteria specifically gram negative bacteria. Majority of the marine bacteria produce these enzymes extracellularly and their activity is in wide range of temperature. They have found potential applications in biomedical field, bioethanol production, textile industry, as a detergent additive and for isolation of protoplast of algae etc. A comprehensive information shall be helpful for the effective understanding and application of these enzymes. In this review exhaustive information of bacterial carrageenases reported till date has been done. All the aspects like sources, production conditions, characterization, cloning and- biotechnological applications are summarized.

Abstract
Paper manufacturing industries depend mainly on forests for wood, which is the basic raw material. Forest plays an important role in balancing the ecosystem to protect forest deinking and bleaching (recycling) of waste paper had gained a lot of importance. Conventional chemical deinking processes require large amount of chemicals which are toxic and hazardous to the environment, hence other effective deinking methods are needed. Enzymatic deinking (cellulolytic, hemicellulolytic and ligninolytic) has attracted enormous attention because of high efficacy and minimum environmental impact. For bleaching, enzymatic action (individual as well as in combination), along with physical treatment, makes the pulp more accessible to the chemicals and also to the amount of chemicals required to obtain similar levels of brightness. Strength properties and brightness of the pulp are improved by these treatment methods. With minimum impact on the environment, this review gives comprehensive information about the various methods used for the recycling of waste paper.
