Abstract
A novel biocompatible composite was fabricated by the functionalization of magnetic chitosan with the melamine phosphate (MP) ionic compound to serve as a recoverable and bifunctional catalyst, aiming at the diversity-oriented generation of biological tetrahydropyrazolopyridine and pyrazolopyrimidine derivatives. This involved a meticulously orchestrated reaction, exploiting the in situ generated pyrazole alongside aromatic aldehydes, ammonium acetate, and (thio) barbituric acid. The present work manifests outstanding advantages, offering a novel and great method for the optimal synthesis of two valuable heterocyclic series especially five new derivatives. The resulting novel biocompatible composite was comprehensively characterized through a range of analytical techniques, including FT-IR, NH3 and CO2-TPD, XRD, TEM, FE-SEM, VSM, EDX, elemental CHNS analysis, ICP-MS, and NMR spectroscopy. Notably, the study represents a critical step in the preparation of advanced materials from accessible and cost-effective precursors.

Abstract
In this study, Se-doped Fe3O4 with antibacterial properties was synthesized using by a coprecipitation method. The chemistry and morphology of the Se doped Fe3O4 nanocomposite were characterized by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometry, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller spectroscopy. The antibacterial activity of the Fe3O4/Se nanocomposite was examined against G+ (Gram-positive) and G- (Gram-negative) bacteria, in the order Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumonia, and Escherichia coli, which are the most harmful and dangerous bacteria. Fe3O4/Se, as a heterogeneous catalyst, was successfully applied to the synthesis of pyrazolopyridine and its derivatives via a one-pot four-component reaction of ethyl acetoacetate, hydrazine hydrate, ammonium acetate, and various aromatic aldehydes. Fe3O4/Se was easily separated from the bacteria-containing solution using a magnet. Its admissible magnetic properties, crystalline structure, antibacterial activity, mild reaction conditions, and green synthesis are specific features that have led to the recommendation of the use of Fe3O4/Se in the water treatment field and medical applications. Direct Se doping of Fe3O4 was successfully realized without additional complicated procedures.

Mesoporous halloysite nanotubes modified by CuFe 2O 4 spinel ferrite nanoparticles and study of its application as a novel and efficient heterogeneous catalyst in the synthesis of pyrazolopyridine derivatives. Sci Rep 2019; 9:5552. Abstract
In this study, mesoporous halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) were modified by CuFe2O4 nanoparticles for the first time. The morphology, porosity and chemistry of the CuFe2O4@HNTs nanocomposite were fully characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) image, transmission electron microscope (TEM) images, energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) adsorption-desorption isotherm, thermogravimetric (TG) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) curve analyses. The results confirmed that CuFe2O4 with tetragonal structure, uniform distribution, and less agglomeration was located at HNTs. CuFe2O4@HNTs nanocomposite special features were high thermal stability, crystalline structure, and respectable magnetic property. SEM and TEM results showed the nanotube structure and confirmed the stability of basic tube in the synthetic process. Also, inner diameters of tubes were increased in calcination temperature at 500 °C. A good magnetic property of CuFe2O4@HNTs led to use it as a heterogeneous catalyst in the synthesis of pyrazolopyridine derivatives. High efficiency, green media, mild reaction conditions and easily recovery of the nanocatalyst are some advantages of this protocol.
