Abstract
The increasing reliance on electronic technologies has elevated the urgency of effective electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials. This review explores the development and potential of magnetite-incorporated one-dimensional (1D) carbon nanostructure hybrids, focusing on their unique properties and synthesis methods. By combining magnetite's magnetic properties with the electrical conductivity and mechanical strength of carbon nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and carbon fibers (CFs), these hybrids offer superior EMI shielding performance. Various synthesis techniques, including solvothermal synthesis, in situ growth, and electrostatic self-assembly, are discussed in detail, highlighting their impact on the structure and properties of the resulting composites. This review also addresses the challenges in achieving homogeneous dispersion of nanofillers and the environmental and economic considerations of large-scale production. The hybrid materials' multifunctionality, including enhanced mechanical strength, thermal stability, and environmental resistance, underscores their suitability for advanced applications in aerospace, electronics, and environmental protection. Future research directions focus on optimizing synthesis processes and exploring new hybrid configurations to further improve electromagnetic properties and practical applicability.

Abstract
The extensive utilization of iron oxide nanoparticles in medical and life science domains has led to a substantial rise in both occupational and public exposure to these particles. The potential toxicity of nanoparticles to living organisms, their impact on the environment, and the associated risks to human health have garnered significant attention and come to be a prominent area in contemporary research. The comprehension of the potential toxicity of nanoparticles has emerged as a crucial concern to safeguard human health and facilitate the secure advancement of nanotechnology. As nanocarriers and targeting agents, the biocompatibility of them determines the use scope and application prospects, meanwhile surface modification becomes an important measure to improve the biocompatibility. Three different types of iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4, Fe3O4@PDA and MSCM-Fe3O4@PDA) were injected into mice through the tail veins. The acute neurotoxicity of them in mice was evaluated by measuring the levels of autophagy and apoptosis in the brain tissues. Our data revealed that iron oxide nanoparticles could cause nervous system damage by regulating the ASK1/JNK signaling pathway. Apoptosis and autophagy may play potential roles in this process. Exposure to combined surface functionalization of mesenchymal stem cell membrane and polydopamine showed the neuroprotective effect and may alleviate brain nervous system disorders.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common type of dementia. The drugs introduced for this disease have many side effects and limitations in use, so the production of a suitable herbal medicine to cure AD patients is essential. OBJECTIVE The aim of this research is to make a magnetic neuropeptide nano shuttle as a targeted carrier for the transfer of quercetin to the brains of AD model rats. METHODS In this work, a magnetic quercetin-neuropeptide nanocomposite (MQNPN) was fabricated and administered to the rat's brain by the shuttle drug of the Margatoxin scorpion venom neuropeptide, and will be a prospect for targeted drug delivery in AD. The MQNPN has been characterized by FTIR, spectroscopy, FE-SEM, XRD, and VSM. Investigations into the efficacy of MQNPN, MTT, and real Time PCR for MAPT and APP genes expression were performed. After 7 days treatment with Fe3O4 (Ctr) and MQNPN treatment in AD rat, superoxide dismutase activity and quercetin in blood serum and brain was detected. Hematoxylin-Eosin staining was applied for histopathological analysis. RESULTS Analysis of data showed that MQNPN increased the activity of superoxide dismutase. The histopathology results of the hippocampal region of AD rats also confirmed their improvement after treatment with MQNPN. MQNPN treatment caused a significant decrease in the relative expression of MAPT and APP genes. CONCLUSION MQNPN is a suitable carrier for the transfer of quercetin to the rat hippocampus, and has a significant effect in reducing AD symptoms in terms of histopathology, behavioral testing, and changing the expression of AD-related genes.

Abstract
The blood-spinal cord barrier (BSCB) has been long thought of as a functional equivalent to the blood-brain barrier (BBB), restricting blood flow into the spinal cord. The spinal cord is supported by various disc tissues that provide agility and has different local immune responses compared to the brain. Though physiologically, structural components of the BSCB and BBB share many similarities, the clinical landscape significantly differs. Thus, it is crucial to understand the composition of BSCB and also to establish the cause–effect relationship with aberrations and spinal cord dysfunctions. Here, we provide a descriptive analysis of the anatomy, current techniques to assess the impairment of BSCB, associated risk factors and impact of spinal disorders such as spinal cord injury (SCI), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), peripheral nerve injury (PNI), ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI), degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM), multiple sclerosis (MS), spinal cavernous malformations (SCM) and cancer on BSCB dysfunction. Along with diagnostic and mechanistic analyses, we also provide an up-to-date account of available therapeutic options for BSCB repair. We emphasize the need to address BSCB as an individual entity and direct future research towards it.
