Abstract
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a prevalent clinical condition, which markedly affects patients' quality of life, commonly leading to post‑thrombotic syndrome. The present study aimed to elucidate the intricate interplay between murine double minute‑2 (MDM2) and phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN), thus shedding new light on their role in the pathogenesis of DVT. The results showed that both MDM2 and PTEN were upregulated in venous blood samples obtained from patients with DVT. However, MDM2 or PTEN knockdown markedly increased the proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis and angiogenesis of oxidized low‑density lipoprotein‑treated human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Furthermore, MDM2 silencing downregulated PTEN. The association between MDM2 and PTEN was verified through comprehensive analyses, including Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins (STRING) analysis and co‑immunoprecipitation assays. The effect of PTEN on DVT was evaluated by Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes and STRING analysis, which demonstrated that PTEN displayed an inhibitory role in the Janus kinase (JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) signaling pathway. Notably, treatment with AG‑490, an inhibitor of JAK/STAT signaling, reversed the protective effect of PTEN knockdown on the behavior of HUVECs. In summary, the results of the current study indicated that both MDM2 and PTEN were upregulated in patients with DVT. The interaction between MDM2 and PTEN was also verified, thus providing novel insights into their potential collaborative role in the development of DVT. Overall, MDM2 and PTEN may interact to inhibit endothelial cell development and promote the occurrence of DVT via inhibiting the JAK/STAT signaling pathway.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Although the popliteal vein approach is commonly used for catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT) treatment in patients with acute lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT), CDT via a new access route, the posterior tibial vein, is also used and has demonstrated good results. However, this tibial approach has not been tested in large samples. In this article, we compare the early efficacy of CDT using the tibial and popliteal vein approaches for the treatment of acute mixed lower extremity DVT. METHODS In this retrospective cohort study, 87 patients with acute mixed lower extremity DVT treated at the Department of Interventional Medicine of Zhuhai People's Hospital were enrolled; those with tibial vein access and popliteal vein access were included in the observation (n = 55) and control (n = 32) groups, respectively. The safety and efficacy of CDT via tibial vein access were investigated by collecting and comparing indicators such as venous patency, thrombus removal effect, thigh and calf circumference difference, swelling reduction rate of the affected limb, surgical complications, and postdischarge complication rate of the patients in the 2 groups. RESULTS The postoperative thrombus clearance effect of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group (P < 0.05), and the postoperative venous patency rate of the observation group was 83.2 ± 15.7%, which was higher than that of the control group (62.2 ± 38.2%) (P = 0.005). The swelling reduction rate of the lower extremity was 74.0 ± 33.8% in the observation group and 51.4 ± 30.0% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P = 0.002). However, there was no statistically significant difference (P > 0.05) in the rates of thigh swelling reduction, bleeding-related complications, or postoperative complications between the 2 groups of patients. CONCLUSIONS CDT via the tibial vein approach is safe, effective, and may be a better approach for CDT access, offering superior thrombus clearance, venous patency, and lower extremity swelling reduction postoperatively.

Abstract
AIM OF THE STUDY: This systematic review aims to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and comparative outcomes of endovascular treatments for acute lower limb deep vein thrombosis (DVT), including catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT), pharmacomechanical thrombectomy (PMT), mechanical thrombectomy, and venous stenting, drawing insights from a diverse range of studies. MATERIALS AND METHODS A comprehensive literature search identified 33 relevant studies, including randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, systematic reviews, and case reports. Data extraction focused on study design, intervention type, outcome measures, and follow-up duration. RESULTS Catheter-directed thrombolysis demonstrates promising results in enhancing venous patency and reducing post-thrombotic syndrome, with careful patient selection being crucial. Pharmacomechanical and mechanical thrombectomy devices offer immediate and long-term benefits, emphasizing individualized patient care. Venous stenting serves as a crucial adjunctive therapy, particularly in cases of residual venous obstruction, though further research is needed for optimal patient selection and long-term outcomes. Timing and selection of endovascular interventions remain critical considerations, necessitating multidisciplinary approaches and ongoing research. CONCLUSION This review provides valuable insights for clinicians and researchers, guiding evidence-based decision-making and shaping future research directions in the dynamic field of endovascular interventions for acute lower limb DVT.

Abstract
In recent years, the incidence of tibial plateau fractures (TPF) has been on the rise. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) may lead to poor prognosis in patients. The systemic immune-inflammation index(SII) are novel biomarkers of inflammation, and this study aims to verify their predictive effect and construct the nomogram model. This study used binary logistic regression analysis to predict the predictive effect of SII on the occurrence of DVT in tibial plateau fracture patients. And use R studio to construct nomogram model. The results showed that Age (1.03 [1, 1.06], p = 0.032), SII (3.57 [1.68, 7.61], p = 0.04), and NC (7.22 [3.21, 16.26], p < 0.001) were independent predictive factors for DVT. The nomogram demonstrated good predictive performance with small errors in both the training and validation groups, and most clinical patients could benefit from them. The nomogram constructed based on SII can assist clinicians in early assessment of the probability of DVT occurrence.

Abstract
D-dimer is widely used in the diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), but the specificity is low. The study examined the diagnostic value of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) SNHG12 in DVT, and preliminarily discussed its mechanism. SNHG12 levels were detected in 200 elderly fracture patients via RT-qPCR, including 38 DVTs. Logistic regression analysis and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were applied for diagnostic value evaluation. HUVECs were used for function study. Cell proliferation, migration, apoptosis, release of inflammatory cytokines, and adhesion factors were detected. Student's t test and one-way ANOVA were applied for data comparison between two or among three or more groups. Correlation analysis of indicators was completed via Pearson's correlation analysis. Bioinformatics analysis predicted the target miRNAs and genes of SNHG12, with GO and KEGG for the function enrichment. It was found that SNHG12 was at low expression in DVT patients, and negatively correlated with D-dimer concentration (r = -0.535). SNHG12 and D-dimer were independent influence factors related to the development of DVT. SNHG12 and D-dimer combination had the best performance in DVT diagnosis. In HUVECs, SNHG12 promoted cell proliferation and migration and restricted the release of inflammatory cytokines and adhesion factors, but these influences were counteracted by miR-424-5p. A total of 208 overlapping target genes of miR-424-5p were identified, and their function was enriched in cellular cycle and senescence. PI3K-Akt signaling pathway was the most significant pathway based on KEGG results. In conclusion, SNHG12 had good diagnostic potential for DVT combined with D-dimer. SNHG12 maintains vascular endothelial cell function by acting as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) for miR-424-5p.

Abstract
Introduction The primary clinical manifestation of venous thrombosis is discomfort in the lower extremities. Some early Parkinson's disease (PD) patients feel discomfort in the lower limbs. Venous thrombosis can risk lives by causing pulmonary embolism. This study examines the incidence of DVT in early PD patients and its correlation with different clinical and lab features. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted on 117 patients with early-stage PD. Ultrasonography was employed to detect the presence of DVT. Factors such as age, gender, body mass index, lifestyle habits (smoking and drinking), medical history (hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, and tumor), and other lab tests linked to thrombosis were analyzed. Results In 117 patients, 11 (9.4%) had DVT, while 106 (90.6%) did not. There were no significant differences in gender, BMI, habits, medical history, or other thrombosis-related tests between both groups. However, DVT patients were older with higher d-dimer levels. They also showed an increased right substantia nigra ultrasound echo area, higher HY grades, higher UPDRS 3 scores, less improvement in UPDRS 3 scores and levodopa response. Discussion The primary risk factors for lower extremity venous thrombosis were found to be age, d-dimer levels, and low-dose levodopa. Therefore, for elderly patients with early-stage PD, it is crucial to conduct d-dimer and lower extremity vascular ultrasound tests. The prevention of venous thrombosis in the lower extremities of early PD patients is of utmost importance.

Abstract
Objective The purpose of the research is to explore post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) after catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT) treatment for acute lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT) risk factors. Methods We retrospectively selected 171 patients with acute lower extremity DVT undergoing CDT treatment, collected clinical data of the patients, grouped them according to the follow-up results of 1 year after treatment, and included patients with PTS into the concurrent group and patients who did not develop PTS assigned to the unconcurrent group. Univariate analysis and Logistic regression were applied to analyze the risk factors of PTS after catheterization and thrombolytic therapy for acute lower extremity DVT. We applied R4.2.3 software to build three hybrid machine-learning models, including a nomogram, decision tree, and random forest with independent influencing factors as predictive variables. Results The incidence of PTS after CDT in acute lower extremity DVT was 36.84 %. BMI >24.33 kg/m2, disease time >7 d, mixed DVT, varicose vein history, stress treatment time>6.5 months, and filter category were independent risk factors for PTS after CDT treatment for acute lower extremity DVT. The AUC value predicted by the random forest model was higher than that of the nomogram model (Z = -2.337, P = 0.019) and the decision tree model (Z = -2.995, P = 0.003). Conclusion The occurrence of PTS after CDT treatment of acute lower extremity DVT is closely related to many factors, and the established random forest model had the best effect in predicting PTS complicated with PTS.

Abstract
Introduction: Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a major cause of cardiovascular disease-related deaths worldwide and is considered a thrombotic inflammatory disorder. IL-1β, as a key promoter of venous thrombus inflammation, is a potential target for DVT treatment. Constructing a nanocarrier system for intracellular delivery of siIL-1β to silence IL-1β may be an effective strategy for alleviating DVT. Methods: ELISA was used to detect the expression levels of IL-1β and t-PA in the serum of DVT patients and healthy individuals. In vitro, HUVEC cells were treated with IL-1β, and changes in VWF and t-PA expression levels were assessed. PBAE/MCM-41@siIL-1β (PM@siIL-1β) nano-complexes were synthesized, the characterization and biocompatibility of PM@siIL-1β were evaluated. A rat hind limb DVT model was established, and PM@siIL-1β was used to treat DVT rats. Morphology of the inferior vena cava, endothelial cell count, IL-1β, vWF, and t-PA levels, as well as changes in the p38 MAPK and NF-κB pathways, were examined in the different groups. Results: IL-1β and t-PA were highly expressed in DVT patients, and IL-1β treatment induced a decrease in VWF levels and an increase in t-PA levels in HUVEC cells. The synthesized PM@siIL-1β exhibited spherical shape, good stability, high encapsulation efficiency, and high drug loading capacity, with excellent biocompatibility. In the DVT model rats, the inferior vena cava was filled with blood clots, endothelial cells increased, IL-1β and VWF levels significantly increased, while t-PA levels were significantly downregulated. Treatment with PM@siIL-1β resulted in reduced thrombus formation, decreased endothelial cell count, and reversal of IL-1β, VWF, and t-PA levels. Furthermore, PM@siIL-1β treatment significantly inhibited p38 phosphorylation and upregulation of NF-κB expression in the DVT model group. Conclusion: IL-1β can be considered a therapeutic target for suppressing DVT inflammation. The synthesized PM@siIL-1β achieved efficient delivery and gene silencing of siIL-1β, demonstrating good therapeutic effects on rat hind limb DVT, including anti-thrombotic and anti-inflammatory effects, potentially mediated through the p38 MAPK and NF-κB pathways.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To examine the correlation between ABO blood type and the incidence of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (LEDVT) in elderly patients after hip fracture surgery, while identifying contributing factors to thrombogenesis. METHODS We conducted a retrospective analysis of 159 elderly patients with hip fractures treated at Tianjin Hospital (Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University) from December 2021 to December 2023. The cohort was divided into two groups: those with O blood type (45 patients) and those with non-O blood types (114 patients). We analyzed clinical data and the incidence of LEDVT between the groups. Logistic regression was used to identify independent risk factors for LEDVT, and receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve analysis evaluated the predictive efficacy of these factors. RESULTS The incidence of LEDVT was significantly higher in the non-O blood type group compared to the O blood type group (34.21% vs. 15.56%, P = 0.0408). Logistic regression identified high body mass index (BMI), comorbid hypertension, low platelet count (PLT), prolonged prothrombin time (PT), and non-O blood type as independent risk factors for LEDVT. The ROC curve for these predictors showed an area under the curve of 0.862, with a sensitivity of 75.22%, a specificity of 86.96%, and an accuracy of 78.62%. CONCLUSION ABO blood type is correlated with the occurrence of LEDVT in elderly patients' post-hip fracture. Those with non-O blood type, alongside other factors such as high BMI, hypertension, low PLT, and extended PT, are at increased risk of developing LEDVT.

Abstract
Background This study aimed to explore the regulatory effect of anserine on HUVEC cell injury and thrombosis in deep venous thrombosis (DVT) rats, and to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms. Methods Non-targeted metabolomics data analyses were conducted using an ultra-performance liquid chromatography system Vanquish UHPLC and mass spectrometer to detect plasma metabolism profiles. The transcriptome sequencing and gene intervention experiments were performed to verify the regulatory effect. Further in vivo and in vitro experiments were performed. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the levels of P-selectin, E-selectin, and vWF, hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was performed to observe thrombotic and inflammatory cell infiltration, flow cytometry and TUNEL assays were performed to detect apoptosis, and qPCR and WB assays were conducted to determine the gene and protein expression. Results Anserine alleviated HUVECs injury, reduced adhesion molecule expression, and inflammation. It decreased P-selectin, E-selectin, vWF, THBD, TFPI levels, and apoptosis while promoting NOS3, ET-1, and NO release in HUVECs. In DVT rats, anserine reduced P-selectin, E-selectin, vWF, thrombosis, cell infiltration, apoptosis, and promoted NO release. Transcriptome sequencing and gene intervention confirmed anserine's regulation of the PI3K-Akt pathway and coagulation via MYB. CARNMT1, a regulatory enzyme for anserine metabolism, increased anserine content, inhibiting coagulation, thrombosis, cell infiltration, and promoting NO release in rats. Conclusion This study confirmed anserine could alleviate DVT by improving the inflammatory response, inhibiting blood agglutination, and promoting vasodilation, providing new potential therapeutic targets, important scientific evidence for the development of DVT management, and new clues for an in-depth understanding of its molecular mechanisms.

Abstract
Thrombotic disease has been listed as the third most fatal vascular disease in the world. After decades of development, clinical thrombolytic drugs still cannot avoid the occurrence of adverse reactions such as bleeding. A number of studies have shown that the application of various nano-functional materials in thrombus-targeted drug delivery, combined with external stimuli, such as magnetic, near-infrared light, ultrasound, etc., enrich the drugs in the thrombus site and use the properties of nano-functional materials for collaborative thrombolysis, which can effectively reduce adverse reactions such as bleeding and improve thrombolysis efficiency. In this paper, the research progress of organic nanomaterials, inorganic nanomaterials, and biomimetic nanomaterials for drug delivery is briefly reviewed.

Abstract
Background The incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the lower extremities is increasing in the younger population. However, there are fewer reported comparisons in the literature for lower extremity DVT. Methods Patients aged <40 years admitted with lower-extremity DVT between January 2018 and December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed and followed up for 1 year. Results A total of 61 patients were included in the study and divided into two groups: 33 patients over 30 years of age (middle-aged group) and 28 patients under 30 years of age (young group). A significant gender difference was observed, with a higher proportion of males in the young group compared to the middle-aged group (P < 0.001). Five patients in the young group were treated with anticoagulation alone, whereas all patients in the middle-aged group underwent endovascular therapy. A higher prevalence of inferior vena cava thrombosis in the young group compared to the middle-aged group (60.71% vs. 33.3%, P = 0.032). The proportion of iliac vein stenosis was significantly higher in the middle-aged groups than in the young group (P = 0.002). There was no statistically significant difference in venous function scores (Villalta and rVCSS) between the two groups during both the preoperative period and the postoperative follow-up (P > 0.05). The incidence of lower-extremity DVT post-thrombotic syndrome and thrombus recurrence was higher in the young group than in the middle-aged group at 1 year postoperatively (PTS: 78.57% vs. 33.3%, P < 0.001, and thrombus recurrence: 28.57% vs. 9.09%, P < 0.05). Univariate and multivariate analyses revealed that inferior vena cava thrombosis was an independent risk factor for severe DVT post-thrombotic syndrome and recurrent DVT (P < 0.05), whereas gender was an independent risk factor for recurrent DVT (P < 0.05). Conclusions This study suggests differences in the clinical characteristics and prognosis of lower-extremity DVT.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effects of Taohong Siwu Decoction (THSWD) combined with low molecular weight heparin (LMWH), as well as THSWD alone, on the incidence of Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), D-dimer levels, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), visual analogue scale (VAS) pain score, and calf swelling in patients undergoing hip fracture or replacement surgery, compared to LMWH. METHODS According to the predefined inclusion criteria, we conducted a comprehensive search for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) examining the efficacy of THSWD combined with LMWH or THSWD compared to LMWH in patients with hip fractures or undergoing replacement surgery. The search was performed across multiple databases including China National Knowledge Internet, WanFang, Sinomed, Duxiu, PubMed, Embase, Google Scholar, Cochrane, and Web of Science from their inception until December 2023. Additionally, relevant literature references were retrieved and hand searching of pertinent journals was conducted. The methodological quality assessment of the included trials was carried out following the guidelines outlined in the Cochrane Handbook. Review Manager 5.4 was applied in analyzing and synthesizing. RESULTS A total of 18 RCTs with 1353 patients were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group, the combined group had a better effect on the incidence of DVT [RR = 0.32, 95% CI(0.17, 0.58; P = .0002], D-dimer [SMD = -5.88, 95% CI(-7.66, -4.11); P < .00001], VAS [MD = -1.16, 95% CI(-1.81, -0.50); P = .0005], Calf circumference difference [MD = -0.56, 95% CI(-1.05, -0.08); P = .02]. There was no significant difference in PT and APTT between the combined group and the control group. Meta-analysis results show that the D-dimer, incidence of DVT, PT, and APTT did not significantly differ between the THSWD and the LMWH groups. CONCLUSION This meta-analysis shows that compared with LMWH, THSWD combined with LMWH has a better efficacy in the treatment of DVT after hip surgery, without a significant increase in the incidence of adverse events. Additionally, the combined therapy can also reduce D-dimer, VAS, and swelling. However, due to the limitations of the included studies (such as small sample size and low-quality evidence), the results need to be further verified in more rigorous multicenter clinical trials with a large sample size.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Patients with preoperative deep vein thrombosis (DVT) exhibit a notable incidence of postoperative deep vein thrombosis progression (DVTp), which bears a potential for silent, severe consequences. Consequently, the development of a predictive model for the risk of postoperative DVTp among spinal trauma patients is important. METHODS Data of 161 spinal traumatic patients with preoperative DVT, who underwent spine surgery after admission, were collected from our hospital between January 2016 and December 2022. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) combined with multivariable logistic regression analysis was applied to select variables for the development of the predictive logistic regression models. One logistic regression model was formulated simply with the Caprini risk score (Model A), while the other model incorporated not only the previously screened variables but also the age variable (Model B). The model's capability was evaluated using sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, accuracy, F1 score, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Nomograms simplified and visually presented Model B for the clinicians and patients to understand the predictive model. The decision curve was used to analyze the clinical value of Model B. RESULTS A total of 161 DVT patients were enrolled in this study. Postoperative DVTp occurred in 48 spinal trauma patients, accounting for 29.81% of the total patient enrolled. Model A inadequately predicted postoperative DVTp in spinal trauma patients, with ROC AUC values of 0.595 for the training dataset and 0.593 for the test dataset. Through the application of LASSO regression and multivariable logistic regression, a screening process was conducted for seven risk factors: D-dimer, blood platelet, hyperlipidemia, blood group, preoperative anticoagulant, spinal cord injury, lower extremity varicosities. Model B demonstrated superior and consistent predictive performance, with ROC AUC values of 0.809 for the training dataset and 0.773 for the test dataset. According to the calibration curves and decision curve analysis, Model B could accurately predict the probability of postoperative DVTp after spine surgery. The nomograms enhanced the interpretability of Model B in charts and graphs. CONCLUSIONS In summary, we established a logistic regression model for the accurate predicting of postoperative deep vein thrombosis progression in spinal trauma patients, utilizing D-dimer, blood platelet, hyperlipidemia, blood group, preoperative anticoagulant, spinal cord injury, lower extremity varicosities, and age as predictive factors. The proposed model outperformed a logistic regression model based simply on CRS. The proposed model has the potential to aid frontline clinicians and patients in identifying and intervening in postoperative DVTp among traumatic patients undergoing spinal surgery.

Abstract
Objective Post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) is the most common long-term complication in patients with deep venous thrombosis, and the prevention of PTS remains a major challenge in clinical practice. Some studies have explored early predictors and constructed corresponding prediction models, whereas their specific application and predictive value are controversial. Therefore, we conducted this systematic evaluation and meta-analysis to investigate the incidence of PTS and the feasibility of early prediction. Methods We systematically searched databases of PubMed, Embase, Cochrane and Web of Science up to April 7, 2023. Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) was used to evaluate the quality of the included articles, and the OR values of the predictors in multi-factor logistic regression were pooled to assess whether they could be used as effective independent predictors. Results We systematically included 20 articles involving 8,512 subjects, with a predominant onset of PTS between 6 and 72 months, with a 2-year incidence of 37.5% (95% CI: 27.8-47.7%). The results for the early predictors were as follows: old age OR = 1.840 (95% CI: 1.410-2.402), obesity or overweight OR = 1.721 (95% CI: 1.245-2.378), proximal deep vein thrombosis OR = 2.335 (95% CI: 1.855-2.938), history of venous thromboembolism OR = 3.593 (95% CI: 1.738-7.240), history of smoking OR = 2.051 (95% CI: 1.305-3.224), varicose veins OR = 2.405 (95% CI: 1.344-4.304), and baseline Villalta score OR = 1.095(95% CI: 1.056-1.135). Meanwhile, gender, unprovoked DVT and insufficient anticoagulation were not independent predictors. Seven studies constructed risk prediction models. In the training set, the c-index of the prediction models was 0.77 (95% CI: 0.74-0.80) with a sensitivity of 0.75 (95% CI: 0.68-0.81) and specificity of 0.69 (95% CI: 0.60-0.77). In the validation set, the c-index, sensitivity and specificity of the prediction models were 0.74(95% CI: 0.69-0.79), 0.71(95% CI: 0.64-0.78) and 0.72(95% CI: 0.67-0.76), respectively. Conclusions With a high incidence after venous thrombosis, PTS is a complication that cannot be ignored in patients with venous thrombosis. Risk prediction scoring based on early model construction is a feasible option, which helps to identify the patient's condition and develop an individualized prevention program to reduce the risk of PTS.

Abstract
To explore the effect of intraoperative risk management combined with comfort nursing in gynecological laparoscopic surgery. A retrospective analysis of 384 cases of laparoscopic surgery subjects admitted from February 2019 to June 2022 in the department of gynecology in our hospital were performed and divided into the control group (n = 192) and observation group (n = 192) according to the difference care that they received. Comfort nursing was taken in the control group, and intraoperative risk management combined with comfort nursing was given in the observation group. The coagulation indexes (activated partial thromboplastin time, prothrombin time, and thrombin time), immune inflammation indexes (monocytes and neutrophils), the incidence of lower limb deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and the satisfaction of nursing care were compared between the 2 groups. After care, activated partial thromboplastin time, prothrombin time, and thrombin time in the observation group were significantly longer than those in the control group, and the counts of monocytes and neutrophils in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < .05). The incidence of DVT in the observation group was notablely lower than those in the control group (P = .008). The nursing satisfaction in the observation group was notablely higher than those in the control group (P < .001). Intraoperative risk management combined with comfort nursing intervention can improve the level of coagulation indicators and immune inflammation indicators after gynecological laparoscopic surgery, reduce the incidence of DVT, and improve subject nursing satisfaction.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the role of D-dimer in the diagnosis of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in patients with rib fractures. METHOD Retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 499 patients with rib fractures who were admitted to the Third Hospital of Shijiazhuang between October 2020 and September 2021. These patients were divided into the DVT and the non-DVT groups. D-dimer levels were compared between the two groups at 24, 48, and 72 h after the injury. Receiver operating characteristic curves were utilized to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of dynamically monitoring changes in D-dimer for DVT. RESULTS The D-dimer levels in the DVT group were significantly higher than those in the non-DVT group at 24, 48, and 72 h after the injury. The area under the curve values for predicting DVT based on D-dimer level at 24, 48, and 72 h after injury in patients with rib fractures were 0.788, 0.605, and 0.568, respectively. CONCLUSION Detecting D-dimer levels 24 h after the injury can enhance diagnostic efficacy and sensitivity for DVT, thereby reducing the rate of missed diagnoses, which is of great clinical value.

Abstract
ObjectiveThe purpose of this retrospective study was to establish a numerical model for predicting the risk of pulmonary embolism (PE) in neurology department patients.MethodsA total of 1,578 subjects with suspected PE at the neurology department from January 2012 to December 2021 were considered for enrollment in our retrospective study. The patients were randomly divided into the training cohort and the validation cohort in the ratio of 7:3. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression were used to select the optimal predictive features. Multivariate logistic regression was used to establish the numerical model, and this model was visualized by a nomogram. The model performance was assessed and validated by discrimination, calibration, and clinical utility.ResultsOur predictive model indicated that eight variables, namely, age, pulse, systolic pressure, hemoglobin, neutrophil count, low-density lipoprotein, D-dimer, and partial pressure of oxygen, were associated with PE. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the model was 0.750 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.721–0.783] in the training cohort and 0.742 (95% CI: 0.689–0.787) in the validation cohort, indicating that the model showed a good differential performance. A good consistency between the prediction and the real observation was presented in the training and validation cohorts. The decision curve analysis in the training and validation cohorts showed that the numerical model had a good net clinical benefit.ConclusionWe established a novel numerical model to predict the risk factors for PE in neurology department suspected PE patients. Our findings may help doctors to develop individualized treatment plans and PE prevention strategies.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To improve treatment outcomes in patients with late stages of total-subtotal deep vein thrombosis using pharmacomechanical thrombectomy. MATERIAL AND METHODS We compared treatment outcomes in 2 homogeneous groups of patients with deep vein thrombosis and severe acute venous insufficiency. Standard anticoagulation (apixaban) was performed in the first group (n=20), endovascular treatment was applied in the second group (n=20). Regional catheter thrombolysis was performed at the first stage, and percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy was performed at the second stage. Incidence of hemorrhagic syndrome was assessed. The results were evaluated after one year considering patency of deep veins and severity of venous outflow disorders. RESULTS Hemorrhagic complications occurred in 15% and 25% of patients, respectively. This required discontinuation of anticoagulation throughout the treatment and subsequent appointment of minimum doses of apixaban. Complete restoration of vein patency was observed in 20% and 55%, partial recanalization - 45% and 25%, minimal recovery - in 35% and 20% of patients, respectively. In the first group, venous outflow disorders were absent in 20% of patients, mild disorders were registered in 45%, moderate - 20%, severe - 15% of patients. In the second group, these values were 55%, 25%, 20% and 0% of patients, respectively. CONCLUSION Pharmacomechanical thromboectomy can improve treatment outcomes.

Abstract
Objective To explore the risk factors of muscle calf venous thrombosis (MCVT) after craniotomy and construct a risk prediction model, so as to provide tool for evaluating the prognosis of MCVT after craniotomy. Methods Retrospective analysis was performed on the data of patients undergoing craniotomy complicated with MCVT from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020. A prediction model was established by Logistic regression, and the predictive efficacy of the model was tested by ROC curve. The accuracy of the risk model was evaluated by Hosmer-Lemeshow (H-L) test, and the model was verified internally by cross validation. Results Among the 446 patients who underwent craniotomy complicated with MCVT, 112 cases (25.11%) had thrombosis extension. D-dimer, Capirini scores, length of hospital stay, malignant tumor, fracture, use of dehydrating agents and hemostatic agents were independently related to thrombosis extension after craniotomy. The area under ROC curve (AUROC) of the prediction model was 0.918 (0.888, 0.942), and the sensitivity and specificity of the maximum Youden index were 85.3% and 78.2%, respectively. H-L test showed that the prediction model was accurate (χ2 = 12.426, P = 0.133). The internal verification results of the prediction model showed that the AUROC value of the prediction model is 0.892. Conclusion The prediction model has a good prediction efficacy on the prognosis of post-craniotomy patients complicated with MCVT, and can be used as a tool to evaluate the risk of thrombosis extension.

Abstract
Background Gastric carcinoma (GC) is a common lethal cancer in the world. Patients are prone to develop lower extremity deep venous thrombosis (LEDVT) after laparoscopic radical gastrectomy (LRG), which threatens their life and health. Purpose This research is to clarify the preventive action of rivaroxaban (Riv) against LEDVT in patients undergoing LRG. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 70 patients with GC admitted for LRG between January 2019 and January 2022, including 40 patients (observation group) receiving Riv treatment and 30 patients (conventional group) treated with air wave pressure therapy apparatus. Quality of life, coagulation function, LEDVT formation, and complications were compared between groups. Results The observation group had better recovery of life quality than the control group, along with more effective inhibition of coagulation disorders, less DVT formation, and fewer complications. Conclusions Compared with air wave pressure therapy apparatus, Riv has better preventive action against LEDVT in GC patients after LRG.
