Abstract
MYB proteins are ubiquitous in nature, regulating key aspects of plant growth and development. Although MYB proteins are known for regulating genes involved in secondary metabolite biosynthesis, particularly phenylpropanoids, their roles in terpenoid, glucosinolate, and alkaloid biosynthesis remain less understood. This review explores the structural and functional differences between activator and repressor MYB proteins along with their roles in plant growth, development, stress responses, and secondary metabolite production. MYB proteins serve as central hubs in protein-protein interaction networks that regulate expression of numerous genes involved in the adaptation of plants to varying environmental conditions. Thus, we also highlight key interacting partners of MYB proteins and their roles in these adaptation mechanisms. We further discuss the mechanisms regulating MYB proteins, including autoregulation, epigenetics, and post-transcriptional and post-translational modifications. Overall, we propose MYB proteins as versatile regulators for improving plant traits, stress responses, and secondary metabolite production.

Abstract
Anthocyanins are naturally water-soluble pigments of plants, which can be pink, orange, red, purple, or blue. Anthocyanins belong to a subcategory of flavonoids known as polyphenols and are consumed in plant-based foods. The antioxidant properties of anthocyanins benefit human health. However, there has been no comprehensive review of the classification, distribution, and biosynthesis of anthocyanins and their regulation in plants, along with their potential health benefits. In this review, we provide a systematic synthesis of recent progress in anthocyanin research, specifically focusing on the classification, biosynthetic pathways, regulatory mechanisms, bioactivity, and health benefits. We bridge the gaps in understanding anthocyanin biological significance and potential applications. Furthermore, we discuss future directions for anthocyanin research, such as biotechnology, bioavailability, and the integration of artificial intelligence. We highlight pivotal research questions that warrant further exploration in the field of anthocyanin research.

Abstract
With the development of genome sequencing technologies, many long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been identified in fruit and vegetables. lncRNAs are primarily transcribed and spliced by RNA polymerase II (Pol II) or plant-specific Pol IV/V, and exhibit limited evolutionary conservation. lncRNAs intricately regulate various aspects of fruit and vegetables, including pigment accumulation, reproductive tissue development, fruit ripening, and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses, through diverse mechanisms such as gene expression modulation, interaction with hormones and transcription factors, microRNA regulation, and involvement in alternative splicing. This review presents a comprehensive overview of lncRNA classification, basic characteristics, and, most importantly, recent advances in understanding their functions and regulatory mechanisms.

Abstract
Plants have evolved complicated defense and adaptive systems to grow in various abiotic stress environments such as drought, cold, and salinity. Anthocyanins belong to the secondary metabolites of flavonoids with strong antioxidant activity in response to various abiotic stress and enhance stress tolerance. Anthocyanin accumulation often accompanies the resistance to abiotic stress in plants to scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS). Recent research evidence showed that many regulatory pathways such as osmoregulation, antioxidant response, plant hormone response, photosynthesis, and respiration regulation are involved in plant adaption to stress. However, the molecular regulatory mechanisms involved in controlling anthocyanin biosynthesis in relation to abiotic stress response have remained obscure. Here, we summarize the current research progress of specific regulators including small RNAs, and lncRNAs involved in the molecular regulation of abiotic stress-induced anthocyanin biosynthesis. In addition, an integrated regulatory network of anthocyanin biosynthesis controlled by microRNAs (miRNAs), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), transcription factors, and stress response factors is also discussed. Understanding molecular mechanisms of anthocyanin biosynthesis for ROS scavenging in various abiotic stress responses will benefit us for resistance breeding in crop plants.

Abstract
KEY MESSAGE Two major QTLs for bolting time in radish were mapped to chromosome 02 and 07 in a 0.37 Mb and 0. 52 Mb interval, RsFLC1 and RsFLC2 is the critical genes. Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) is an important vegetable crop of Cruciferae. The premature bolting and flowering reduces the yield and quality of the fleshy root of radish. However, the molecular mechanism underlying bolting and flowering in radish remains unknown. In YZH (early bolting) × XHT (late bolting) F2 population, a high-density genetic linkage map was constructed with genetic distance of 2497.74 cM and an average interval of 2.31 cM. A total of nine QTLs for bolting time and two QTLs for flowering time were detected. Three QTLs associated with bolting time in radish were identified by QTL-seq using radish GDE (early bolting) × GDL (late bolting) F2 population. Fine mapping narrowed down qBT2 and qBT7.2 to an 0.37 Mb and 0.52 Mb region on chromosome 02 and 07, respectively. RNA-seq and qRT-PCR analysis showed that RsFLC1 and RsFLC2 were the candidate gene for qBT7.2 and qBT2 locus, respectively. Subcellular localization exhibited that RsFLC1 and RsFLC2 were mainly expressed in the nucleus. A 1856-bp insertion in the first intron of RsFLC1 was responsible for bolting time. Overexpression of RsFLC2 in Arabidopsis was significantly delayed flowering. These findings will provide new insights into the exploring the molecular mechanism of late bolting and promote the marker-assisted selection for breeding late-bolting varieties in radish.
