Evaluation of the Efficacy of Artificial Neural Network-Based Music Therapy for Depression

In order to evaluate the therapeutic effect of music therapy on patients with depression, this paper proposes a CNN-based noise detection method with the combination of HHT and FastICA for noise removal, with good data support from the DBN model. DBN-based feature extraction and classification are completed. As the training process of DBN itself requires a large number of training samples, there are also disadvantages such as slow convergence speed and easy to fall into local minima, which lead to a large amount of effort and time, and the learning efficiency is relatively low. A DBN optimization algorithm based on artificial neural network was proposed to evaluate the efficacy of music therapy. First of all, through the comparison of music therapy experimental group and control group, to verify that music therapy is effective for the treatment of depressed patients. Secondly, we propose to optimize the selection of features based on the frequency band energy ratio and the sliding average sample entropy, respectively, and then to classify the EEG of depressed patients under different music perceptions by training the DBN model and continuously adjusting the parameters, combined with the surtax classifier, and the classification accuracy is high. In particular, it can detect the different effects of different music styles, which is of great significance for the selection of appropriate music for the treatment of depressed patients.

A Review of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Blockchain Technology Applications in Medicine and Global Health

Artificial intelligence (AI) programs are applied to methods such as diagnostic procedures, treatment protocol development, patient monitoring, drug development, personalized medicine in healthcare, and outbreak predictions in global health, as in the case of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Machine learning (ML) is a field of AI that allows computers to learn and improve without being explicitly programmed. ML algorithms can also analyze large amounts of data called Big data through electronic health records for disease prevention and diagnosis. Wearable medical devices are used to continuously monitor an individual’s health status and store it in cloud computing. In the context of a newly published study, the potential benefits of sophisticated data analytics and machine learning are discussed in this review. We have conducted a literature search in all the popular databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, MEDLINE/PubMed and Google Scholar search engines. This paper describes the utilization of concepts underlying ML, big data, blockchain technology and their importance in medicine, healthcare, public health surveillance, case estimations in COVID-19 pandemic and other epidemics. The review also goes through the possible consequences and difficulties for medical practitioners and health technologists in designing futuristic models to improve the quality and well-being of human lives.

A Deep Learning-Based Classification Scheme for False Data Injection Attack Detection in Power System

A smart grid improves power grid efficiency by using modern information and communication technologies. However, at the same time, due to the dependence on information technology and the deep integration of electrical components and computing information in cyber space, the system might become increasingly vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Among various emerging security problems, a false data injection attack (FDIA) is a new type of attack against the state estimation. In this article, a deep learning-based identification scheme is developed to detect and mitigate information corruption. The scheme implements a conditional deep belief network (CDBN) to analyze time-series input data and leverages captured features to detect the FDIA. The performance of our detection mechanism is validated by using the IEEE 14-bus test system for simulation. Different attack scenarios and parameters are set to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed scheme. Compared with the artificial neural network (ANN) and the support vector machine (SVM), the experimental analyses indicate that the results of our detection mechanism are better than those of the other two in terms of FDIA detection accuracy and robustness.
