An OWA Distance-Based, Single-Valued Neutrosophic Linguistic TOPSIS Approach for Green Supplier Evaluation and Selection in Low-Carbon Supply Chains

Evaluation model of green supplier selection for coal enterprises with similarity measures of double-valued neutrosophic sets based on cosine function

Coal is a vital basic energy source for any economy in the world, and our country is no exception. Our coal resources are abundant, with high production and demand, not comparable to oil and natural gas. The coal supply chain plays an equally important role in economic production, but unfortunately, the current coal supply chain is not focused on greening while creating profits. Unfortunately, the current coal supply chain does not focus on green production and energy conservation and emission reduction while creating profits, which has caused irreversible harm and loss to resources and environment. This has caused irreversible damage and loss to resources and the environment. The green supplier selection for coal enterprises is affirmed as multiple attribute decision making (MADM). In such paper, motivated by the idea of cosine similarity measure (CSM), the CSMs are extended to DVNSs and four CSMs are created under DVNSs. Then, two weighted CSMs are built for MADM under DVNSs. Finally, a numerical example for Green supplier selection for coal enterprises is affirmed and some comparative algorithms are produced to affirm the built method.

A flexible group decision-making method for green supplier selection integrating MABAC and CRITIC method under the linguistic Z-numbers environment

This paper intends to treat the green supplier selection (GSS) problem as a multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problem, adopt the linguistic Z-number that can more flexibly and accurately express the evaluation information, and expand the traditional multi-attribute boundary approximate area comparison (MABAC) method, combine the CRITIC method of standard importance and consider the risk vector to finally determine the optimal solution. More specifically, the linguistic Z-number is used to describe the fuzzy evaluation information of experts on alternatives under attributes, then the expanded CRITIC method is used to obtain the weight of each given attribute, and finally the MABAC method with added risk vector and expanded is used to obtain the ranking of alternatives and obtain the best solution. Finally, taking green supplier selection as an example, and comparing with other methods, the reliability and effectiveness of the constructed method are verified. The results show that this method can express the evaluation information of experts flexibly and completely, and obtain the ranking results of given schemes through fewer steps, which is reliable and effective.

MABAC method for multiple attribute group decision making under single-valued neutrosophic sets and applications to performance evaluation of sustainable microfinance groups lending

As an important supplement to my country's financial institutions, micro-loan companies serve "agriculture, rural areas and farmers", small and micro enterprises, and individuals, to a certain extent, alleviating the financing difficulties of such groups and regulating private finance. However, micro-loan companies only lend but do not deposit. In the process of lending, due to inadequate risk management, the risk problem has become increasingly prominent. With the continuous growth of the loan amount of rural credit and the continuous increase of microfinance groups lending customers, it faces certain problems in its risk management, which increases the risks of the company in all aspects. The performance evaluation of sustainable microfinance groups lending is a classical MAGDM issues. In such paper, the Hamming distances of single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) and maximizing deviation method (MDM) is used to obtain the attribute weights and the single-valued neutrosophic numbers MABAC(SVNN-MABAC) method is structured for MAGDM under SVNSs. Finally, an example about performance evaluation of sustainable microfinance groups lending and some comparative decision analysis are given to proof the SVNN-MABAC.

A group decision-making method that links changes in experts’ preferences and weights: Application to site selection of waste-to-energy plants

The selection of a waste-to-energy (WTE) plant site is the core issue that determines whether the WTE project can effectively treat municipal solid waste, reduce environmental pollution, and promote the development of a circular economy, and is often determined through group decision-making. The complexity of this group decision problem makes the opinions of decision makers often with uncertainty. The single-valued neutrosophic set (SVNS) can reduce the loss of information that contains uncertainty by quantitatively describing the information through three functions. In addition, existing studies on group decision-making for WTE plant siting suffer from the problem that decision maker weights do not change in concert with those decision makers’ decision information. Therefore, this study proposes a group decision-making method based on SVNSs. First, a group consensus strategy is proposed to improve group consensus by removing the evaluation value of the corresponding solution for decision makers who do not reach consensus and are unwilling to modify their preferences. Second, a decision maker weight determination and adjustment method is proposed to readjust the decision maker weights from the solution level according to their respective consensus degree when the decision makers’ preference information changes. This method enables the decision makers’ preferences and weights to be changed jointly. An illustrative example and a comparative analysis of WTE plant siting decisions demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the method. The experimental results show that the method is effective in helping decision makers to select the optimal WTE plant site more accurately.

The green-agile supplier selection problem for the medical devices: a hybrid fuzzy decision-making approach

The supplier selection problem (SSP) is known as one of the major issues in the supply chain management area. In this field, the literature shows that the combination of green and agile indicators has been ignored by researchers. Hence, this research attempts to study the SSP considering green and agile aspects, simultaneously. To do this, an efficient hybrid fuzzy decision-making approach is developed based on the Fuzzy Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (FDEMATEL), Fuzzy Best-Worst Method (FBWM), Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP), and Fuzzy Vlse Kriterijumsk Optimizacija Kompromisno Resenje (FVIKOR) methods. Then, to show the efficiency and application of the proposed approach, a case study in the medical devices industry is investigated. After determining the main indicators and alternatives, the interrelationships between indicators are identified employing FDEMATEL. Then, the weights of indicators are calculated using integrated FBWM-FANP. Finally, the potential suppliers are ranked applying FVIKOR. Based on the obtained results, price and greenness are the more important aspects and also material costs, environmental performance evaluation, manufacture flexibility, service level, and system reliability are the most important criteria for the green-agile supplier selection problem in the medical devices industry. Since all of the consistency ratios are less than 0.1, the reliability of the results is proved. On the other side, the results of conducting sensitivity analysis show that by changing the defuzzification methods, there is no significant change in the obtained results that demonstrates the validity of the proposed approach. Eventually, based on the obtained results, suppliers #1 and #5 are the best suppliers for the considered company.

q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy TOPSIS Method for Green Supplier Selection Problem

Supply chain management is to improve competitive stress. In today’s world, competitive terms and customer sense have altered in favor of an environmentalist manner. As a result of this, green supplier selection has become a very important topic. In the green supplier selection approach, agility, lean process, sustainability, environmental sensitivity, and durability are pointed. Like the classical supplier selection problems, environmental criteria generally emphasize green supplier selection. However, these two problem approaches are different from each other in terms of carbon footprint, water consumption, environmental and recycling applications. Due to the problem structure, a resolution is defined that includes an algorithm based on q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy (q-ROF) TOPSIS method. Brief information about q-ROF sets is given before the methodology of the q-ROF model is introduced. By using the proposed method and q-ROF sets, an application was made with today’s uncertain conditions. In the conclusion part, a comparison is made with classical TOPSIS, Intuitionistic Fuzzy TOPSIS and q-ROF TOPSIS methodology. As a result, more stable and accurate results are obtained with q-ROF TOPSIS.

Single-Valued Neutrosophic Linguistic Logarithmic Weighted Distance Measures and Their Application to Supplier Selection of Fresh Aquatic Products

A single-valued neutrosophic linguistic set (SVNLS) is a popular fuzzy tool for describing deviation information in uncertain complex situations. The aim of this paper is to study some logarithmic distance measures and study their usefulness in multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems within single-valued neutrosophic linguistic (SVNL) environments. For achieving the purpose, SVNL weighted logarithmic averaging distance (SVNLWLAD) and SVNL ordered weighted logarithmic averaging distance (SVNLOWLAD) measures are firstly developed based on the logarithmic aggregation method. Then, the SVNL combined weighted logarithmic averaging distance (SVNLCWLAD) measure is presented by unifying the advantages of the previous SVNLWLAD and SVNLOWLAD measures. Moreover, a new MAGDM model by utilizing the SVNLCWLAD measure is presented under SVNL environments. Finally, a supplier selection for fresh aquatic products is taken as a case to illustrate the performance of the proposed framework.

Single-Valued Neutrosophic Linguistic-Induced Aggregation Distance Measures and Their Application in Investment Multiple Attribute Group Decision Making

This paper studied the single-valued neutrosophic linguistic distance measures based on the induced aggregation method. Firstly, we proposed a single-valued neutrosophic linguistic-induced ordered weighted averaging distance (SVNLIOWAD) measure, which is a new extension of the existing distance measures based on the induced aggregation view. Then, based on the proposed SVNLIOWAD, a novel induced distance for single-valued neutrosophic linguistic sets, namely the single-valued neutrosophic linguistic weighted induced ordered weighted averaging distance (SVNLWIOWAD), was developed to eliminate the defects of the existing methods. The relationship between the two proposed distance measures was also explored. A multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) model was further presented based on the proposed SVNLWIOWAD measure. Finally, a numerical example concerning an investment selection problem was provided to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method under a single-valued neutrosophic linguistic environment and, then, a comparison analysis was carried out to verify the flexibility and effectiveness of the proposed work.

Supplier Selection and Order Allocation under a Carbon Emission Trading Scheme: A Case Study from China

In implementing carbon emission trading schemes (ETSs), the cost of carbon embedded in raw materials further complicates supplier selection and order allocation. Firms have to make decisions by comprehensively considering the cost and the important intangible performance of suppliers. This paper uses an analytic network process–integer programming (ANP–IP) model based on a multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach to solve the above issues by first evaluating and then optimizing them. The carbon embedded in components, which can be used to reflect the carbon competitiveness of a supplier, is integrated into the ANP–IP model. In addition, an international large-scale electronic equipment manufacturer in China is used to validate the model. Different scenarios involving different carbon prices are designed to analyze whether China’s current ETS drives firms to choose more low-carbon suppliers. The results show that current carbon constraints are not stringent enough to drive firms to select low-carbon suppliers. A more stringent ETS with a higher carbon price could facilitate the creation of a low-carbon supply chain. The analysis of the firm’s total cost and of the total cost composition indicates that the impact of a more stringent ETS on the firm results mainly from indirect costs instead of direct costs. The indirect cost is caused by the suppliers’ transfer of part of the low-carbon investment in the product, and arises from buying carbon permits with high carbon prices. Implications revealed by the model analysis are discussed to provide guidance to suppliers regarding the balance between soft competitiveness and low-carbon production capability and to provide guidance to the firm on how to cooperate with suppliers to achieve a mutually beneficial situation.

Multi-Attribute Decision-Making Based on Preference Perspective with Interval Neutrosophic Sets in Venture Capital

Fuzzy information in venture capital can be well expressed by neutrosophic numbers, and TODIM method is an effective tool for multi-attribute decision-making. The distance measure is an essential step in TODIM method. The keystone of this paper is to define several new distance measures, in particular the improved interval neutrosophic Euclidean distance, and these measures are applied in the TODIM method for multi-attribute decision-making. Firstly, the normalized generalized interval neutrosophic Hausdorff distance is defined and proved to be valid in this paper. Secondly, we define a weighted parameter interval neutrosophic distance and discuss whether different weight parameters affect the decision result based on TODIM method. Thirdly, considering the preference perspective of decision-makers in behavioral economics, we define the improved interval neutrosophic Euclidean distance with the known parameter of risk preference. Finally, an application example is given to compare the effects of different parameters on the result and discuss the feasibility of these two distance measures in TODIM method.

A Single-Valued Neutrosophic Linguistic Combined Weighted Distance Measure and Its Application in Multiple-Attribute Group Decision-Making

The aim of this paper is to present a multiple-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) framework based on a new single-valued neutrosophic linguistic (SVNL) distance measure. By unifying the idea of the weighted average and ordered weighted averaging into a single-valued neutrosophic linguistic distance, we first developed a new SVNL weighted distance measure, namely a SVNL combined and weighted distance (SVNLCWD) measure. The focal characteristics of the devised SVNLCWD are its ability to combine both the decision-makers’ attitudes toward the importance, as well as the weights, of the arguments. Various desirable properties and families of the developed SVNLCWD were contemplated. Moreover, a MAGDM approach based on the SVNLCWD was formulated. Lastly, a real numerical example concerning a low-carbon supplier selection problem was used to describe the superiority and feasibility of the developed approach.
