Decision model for binary safety management behavior in a supply chain under digital scenarios: A study based on differential game theory

The purpose of this study is to expand and deepen research in the field of safety production, explore the role of enterprises as decision-making entities in safety production, analyze the role of different types of decision-making behaviors in the process of enterprise safety production, and provide certain theoretical guidance for multi-agent decision-making in safety production. By summarizing and comparing the existing dual system of supply chain safety management, this study proposes dividing supply chain safety management into the two categories of safety organization and safety research and development (safety R&D) in the context of digitalization. Differential equations are established to describe a two-level supply chain safety management problem including manufacturers and suppliers. The research results show that, compared with the Nash equilibrium, when there are strong manufacturers involved in safety management cooperation, the manufacturer's safety R&D subsidy to suppliers improves the total revenue of the supply chain. When the manufacturer's safety organization supervision efficiency is high, the Stackelberg equilibrium is lower. It is a Pareto improvement for the manufacturer to supervise the supplier's safety organization to the Nash equilibrium. In the case of dual safety cooperation in the supply chain, when there are strong manufacturers, R&D subsidies have a crowding out effect on the safety organization cooperation. Finally, based on the example analysis, relevant suggestions are put forward for supply chain safety management.

Research on the game of manufacturing capacity sharing based on prospect theory

In order to investigate the strategy choice of each player in capacity sharing, the article constructs a tripartite game model based on capacity provider-capacity demander-government, introduces the prospect theory and conducts numerical simulation analysis using MATLAB. The results show that capacity sharing in the manufacturing industry is related to three parties: capacity providers, capacity demanders and the government, and their strategies in the game process influence each other; the sensitivity of capacity providers and capacity demanders is higher than that of the government; the increase of risk-return coefficient and loss-avoidance coefficient is conducive to the evolution of subjects to the ideal state.

Adoption of mobile health services using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology model: Self-efficacy and privacy concerns

Mobile health (mHealth) services have been widely used in medical services and health management through mobile devices and multiple channels, such as smartphones, wearable equipment, healthcare applications (Apps), and medical platforms. However, the number of the users who are currently receiving the mHealth services is small. In China, more than 70% of internet users have never used mHealth services. Such imbalanced situation could be attributed to users’ traditional concept of medical treatment, psychological factors (such as low self-efficacy) and privacy concerns. The purpose of this study is to explore the direct and indirect effects of mHealth users’ self-efficacy and privacy concerns on their intention to adopt mHealth services, providing guidelines for mHealth service providers to enhance users’ intention of adoption. A questionnaire was designed by the research team and 386 valid responses were collected from domestic participants in China. Based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model, a research model integrated self-efficacy and privacy concerns was constructed to investigate their effects on users’ intention to adopt mobile mHealth services. The results show that self-efficacy could facilitate users’ intention to adopt mHealth services, and had a significantly positive effect on perceived ubiquity, effort expectancy, performance expectancy and subjective norm. This study verifies the direct and indirect effects of self-efficacy and privacy concerns on users’ intention to adopt mHealth services, providing a different perspective for studying mHealth adoption behavior. The findings could provide guidelines for mHealth service providers to improve their service quality and enhance users’ intention of adoption.

Industry 4.0 Wireless Networks and Cyber-Physical Smart Manufacturing Systems as Accelerators of Value-Added Growth in Slovak Exports

Industry 4.0 integrates smart and connected production systems that are pivotal in predicting and supporting production in real-time, leading to sustainable organizational performance. In manufacturing, it may increase productivity, sustainability, and energy efficiency, while optimizing competitiveness. The main purpose of this paper is to determine the impact of Industry 4.0 on the Slovak economy through a secondary data analysis in the automotive industry, which is the leading sector in the country. The paper aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the various opportunities that are available in the value-added growth of car exports in Slovakia. It also explores the case study of PSA Group Slovakia, which highlights the importance of the Industry 4.0 concept in boosting the country’s export growth. The paper proposes a series of recommendations and steps to improve Slovakia’s innovation environment.
