Abstract
Tumor energy metabolism plays a crucial role in the occurrence, progression, and drug resistance of tumors. The study of tumor energy metabolism has gradually become an emerging field of tumor treatment. Recent studies have shown that epigenetic regulation is closely linked to tumor energy metabolism, influencing the metabolic remodeling and biological traits of tumor cells. This review focuses on the primary pathways of tumor energy metabolism and explores therapeutic strategies to target these pathways. It covers key areas such as glycolysis, the Warburg effect, mitochondrial function, oxidative phosphorylation, and the metabolic adaptability of tumors. Additionally, this article examines the role of the epigenetic regulator SWI/SNF complex in tumor metabolism, specifically its interactions with glucose, lipids, and amino acids. Summarizing therapeutic strategies aimed at these metabolic pathways, including inhibitors of glycolysis, mitochondrial-targeted drugs, exploitation of metabolic vulnerabilities, and recent developments related to SWI/SNF complexes as potential targets. The clinical significance, challenges, and future directions of tumor metabolism research are discussed, including strategies to overcome drug resistance, the potential of combination therapy, and the application of new technologies.

Abstract
This work evaluated the effects of the consumption of a plant-based beverage (Cyperus esculentus L., Adansonia digitata L., and thermal water) on the physiological parameters of mice over a 28-day period. Thirty-two female FVB/n mice (n = 8) were randomly assigned to one of four groups divided into two experimental protocols: Group 1 drank water and Group 2 drank a plant-based beverage for 24 h; in the second experimental protocol, Group 3 consumed water and Group 4 consumed plant-based beverage for a limited time (4 h). Two experimental protocols were conducted to assess whether the exposure time to the beverage affects the animals' physiological parameters, to determine if there is a possible daily limit for consumption of the product and to analyze their adverse effects. The mice consuming a beverage ingested a larger amount of drink and a smaller amount of food. Histologically there are no pathological changes in collected organs. The consumption of a plant-based beverage has been shown to have a positive effect on oxidative markers and can have a diuretic action. According to results, no behavioral changes or clinical signs of disease were observed throughout both experimental protocols, and no mortality was recorded.

Abstract
The carnivorous pitcher plants of the genus Nepenthes have long been known for their ethnobotanical applications. In this study, we prepared various extracts from the pitcher, stem, and leaf of Nepenthes miranda using 100% ethanol and assessed their inhibitory effects on key enzymes related to skin aging, including elastase, tyrosinase, and hyaluronidase. The cytotoxicity of the stem extract of N. miranda on H838 human lung carcinoma cells were also characterized by effects on cell survival, migration, proliferation, apoptosis induction, and DNA damage. The cytotoxic efficacy of the extract was enhanced when combined with the chemotherapeutic agent 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), indicating a synergistic effect. Flow cytometry analysis suggested that the stem extract might suppress H838 cell proliferation by inducing G2 cell cycle arrest, thereby inhibiting carcinoma cell proliferation. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) enabled the tentative identification of the 15 most abundant compounds in the stem extract of N. miranda. Notably, the extract showed a potent inhibition of the human RPA32 protein (huRPA32), critical for DNA replication, suggesting a novel mechanism for its anticancer action. Molecular docking studies further substantiated the interaction between the extract and huRPA32, highlighting bioactive compounds, especially the two most abundant constituents, stigmast-5-en-3-ol and plumbagin, as potential inhibitors of huRPA32's DNA-binding activity, offering promising avenues for cancer therapy. Overall, our findings position the stem extract of N. miranda as a promising source of natural compounds for anticancer therapeutics and anti-skin-aging treatments, warranting further investigation into its molecular mechanisms and potential clinical applications.
