Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of this paper is to compile and present all of the reported vascular complications that resulted from common non-vascular abdominal procedures in the literature. Non-vascular procedures include, though are not limited to, percutaneous abscess/fluid collection drainage (PAD), percutaneous nephrostomy (PN), paracentesis, percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (PTC)/percutaneous biliary drainage (PBD), percutaneous biliary stone removal, and percutaneous radiologic gastrostomy (PG)/percutaneous radiologic gastrojejunostomy (PG-J). By gathering this information, radiologists performing these procedures can be aware of the associated vascular injuries, as well as take steps to minimize risks. METHODS A literature review was conducted using the PubMed database to catalog relevant articles, published in the year 2000 onward, in which an iatrogenic vascular complication occurred from the following non-vascular abdominal procedures: PAD, PN, paracentesis, PTC/PBD, percutaneous biliary stone removal, and PG/PG-J. Biopsy and tumor ablation were deferred from this article. RESULTS 214 studies met criteria for analysis. 28 patients died as a result of vascular complications from the analyzed non-vascular abdominal procedures. Vascular complications from paracentesis were responsible for 19 patient deaths, followed by four deaths from PTC/PBD, three from biliary stone removal, and two from PG. CONCLUSION Despite non-vascular percutaneous abdominal procedures being minimally invasive, vascular complications still can arise and be quite serious, even resulting in death. Through the presentation of vascular complications associated with these procedures, interventionalists can improve patient care by understanding the steps that can be taken to minimize these risks and to reduce complication rates.

Abstract
PURPOSE Bile lake (BL) formation following Kasai portoenterostomy (KPE) can complicate the prognosis of biliary atresia (BA). Percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) performed under fluoroscopic/ultrasonographic (US) guidance is discussed for the management of BL. METHODS A retrospective review of 64 BA patients treated by KPE (open = 31, laparoscopic = 33) at a single center (2004-2023) identified 9 BL cases (9/64; 14.1%). PTBD was indicated for jaundice or cholangitis refractory to antibiotic therapy. RESULTS All BL were asymptomatic, diagnosed after an episode of postoperative cholangitis. KPE type was not correlated with BL incidence; 2/31 (6.5%) for open and 7/33 (21.2%) for laparoscopic; p = 0.15. Median onset was postoperative day 273 (IQR: 170-920). One case resolved with antibiotics while another case required early liver transplantation (LTx) due to advanced hepatic dysfunction unrelated to BL. All remaining cases (7/9) had PTBD at a median of 14.3 months (IQR: 7.3-34.7) post-KPE, with successful resolution in 6/7; one case required two PTBD procedures. Post-PTBD biliary peritonitis (n = 3) was resolved by abdominal lavage (laparoscopic = 2; open = 1). CONCLUSION Screening for BL is advisable in all postoperative BA patients especially when cholangitis occurs. Although the risk for biliary peritonitis warrants caution, PTBD seems a viable option for managing BL formation after KPE.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Percutaneous cholangioscopy (PerC) offers an alternative for patients with an inaccessible biliary tree. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the performance of this technique. METHODS A search in Medline, Cochrane and ClinicalTrials.gov databases was performed for studies assessing PerC up to October 2022. The primary outcome was diagnostic success, defined as successful stone identification or stricture workup. Secondary outcomes included therapeutic success (stone extraction, stenting) and complication rate. A subgroup analysis compared previous-generation and modern cholangioscopes. We performed meta-analyses using a random-effects model and the results were reported as percentages with 95% confidence interval (CI). RESULTS Fourteen studies (682 patients) were eligible for analysis. The rate of diagnostic success was 98.7% (95%CI 97.6-99.8%; I2=31.19%) and therapeutic success was 88.6% (95%CI 82.8-94.3%; I2=74.92%). Adverse events were recorded in 17.1% (95%CI 10.7-23.5%; I2=77.56%), of which 15.9% (95%CI 9.8-21.9%; I2=75.98%) were minor and 0.6% (95%CI 0.1-1.2%; I2=0%) major. The Spyglass system showed null heterogeneity for all outcomes; compared with older-generation endoscopes it offered comparable diagnostic success, but yielded significantly superior therapeutic success (96.1%, 95%CI 90-100%; I2=0% vs. 86.4%, 95%CI 79.2-93.6%; I2=81.41%; P=0.02]. CONCLUSION PerC, especially using currently available cholangioscopes, is associated with high diagnostic and therapeutic success.

Abstract
Endovascular embolization of bleeding vessels in trauma and non-trauma patients is frequently used and is an important tool for bleeding control. It is included in the EVTM (endovascular resuscitation and trauma management) concept and its use in patients with hemodynamic instability is increasing. When the correct embolization tool is chosen, a dedicated multidisciplinary team can rapidly and effectively achieve bleeding control. In this article, we will describe the current use and possibilities for embolization of major hemorrhage (traumatic and non-traumatic) and the published data supporting these techniques as part of the EVTM concept.

Abstract
Our aim was to study the association between preoperative biliary drainage (PBD) and morbidity following cephalic pancreaticoduodenectomy (CPD) for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and its prognostic impact, which is still controversial in the literature. A retrospective study was conducted, which included 128 patients who underwent CPD for PDAC, divided into two groups: those who underwent PBD (group 1) and those who did not undergo this procedure (group 2). Group 1 was subdivided according to the drainage route: endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), group 1.1, and percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (PTC), group 1.2. 34.4% of patients underwent PBD, and 47.7% developed PBD-related complications, with 37% in group 1.1 and 64.7% in group 1.2 (p = 0.074). There was a significant difference between group 1 and 2 regarding bacterial colonization of the bile (45.5% vs. 3.6%, p < 0.001), but no difference was found in the colonization by multidrug-resistant bacteria, the development of Clavien–Dindo ≥ III complications, clinically relevant pancreatic fistula and delayed gastric emptying (DGE), intra-abdominal abscess, hemorrhage, superficial surgical site infection (SSI), and readmission. Between groups 1.1 and 1.2, there was a significant difference in clinically relevant DGE (44.4% vs. 5.9%, p = 0.014) and Clavien–Dindo ≥ III complications (59.3% vs. 88.2%, p = 0.040). There were no significant differences in median overall survival and disease-free survival (DFS) between groups 1 and 2. Groups 1.1 and 1.2 had a significant difference in DFS (10 vs. 5 months, p = 0.017). In this group of patients, PBD was associated with increased bacterial colonization of the bile, without a significant increase in postoperative complications or influence in survival. ERCP seems to contribute to the development of clinically significant DGE. Patients undergoing PTC appear to have an early recurrence.

Abstract
To compare the safety and efficacy of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage (PTCD) in the treatment of malignant obstructive jaundice, a systematic review and meta-analysis of published studies was undertaken to assess the differences between the two procedures in terms of efficacy and safety. From November 2000 to November 2022, the Embase, PubMed, MEDLINE, and Cochrane databases were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the treatment of malignant obstructive jaundice with ERCP or PTCD. Two investigators independently assessed the quality of the included studies and extracted the data. Six RCTs, including 407 patients, were included. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the overall technical success rate in the ERCP group was significantly lower than that in the PTCD group (Z=3.19, P=0.001, OR=0.31 (95% CI: 0.15-0.64)), but with a higher overall procedure-related complication incidence rate (Z=2.57, P=0.01, OR=0.55 (95% CI: 0.34-0.87)). The incidence of procedure-related pancreatitis in the ERCP group was higher than that in the PTCD group (Z=2.80, P=0.005, OR=5.29 (95% CI: 1.65-16.97)), and the differences were statistically significant. No significant difference was observed between the two groups when the clinical efficacy, postoperative cholangitis, and bleeding rate were compared.Both treatments for malignant obstructive jaundice were efficacious and safe. However, the PTCD group had a greater technique success rate and a lower incidence of postoperative pancreatitis.The present meta-analysis has been registered in PROSPERO.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Effective biliary tree decompression plays a central role in the palliation of malignant biliary obstruction (MBO). When endoscopic drainage is unfeasible or unsuccessful, percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) is the method of choice and preferred treatment approach in advanced hilar MBO. The prognostic nutritional index (PNI) reflects the patient's immunonutritional status, while the neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) reflects the patient's inflammation status. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the prognostic value of preprocedural PNI and NLR on short-term survival in the advanced stage MBO population threatened with PTBD and to characterize the differences in immunonutritional and inflammatory status between 60-day survivors and non-survivors, as well as analyze other variables influencing short-term survival. METHODS This single-center retrospective study was conducted on patients undergoing palliative PTBD caused by MBO as a definitive therapeutic treatment between March 2020 and February 2022. After the procedure, patients were followed until the end of August 2022. RESULTS A total of 136 patients with malignant biliary obstruction were included in the study. Based on receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, optimal cut off-values for NLR (3) and PNI (36.7) were determined. In univariate regression analysis, age, absolute neutrophil count, albumin level, NLR ≤ 3, and PNI ≥ 36.7 were significant predictors of 60-day survival. Level of obstruction and PNI ≥ 36.7 were statistically significant independent predictors of 60-day survival in a multivariate regression model. Using PNI ≥ 36.7 as a significant coefficient from the multivariate regression model with the addition of NLR ≤ 3 from univariate analysis, a 60-day survival score was developed. CONCLUSIONS PNI and NLR are easy to calculate from routine blood analysis, which is regularly conducted for cancer patients. As such, they represent easily available, highly reproducible, and inexpensive tests capable of expressing the severity of systemic inflammatory responses in patients with cancer. Our study highlights that preprocedural PNI and NLR values provide predictors of short-term survival in patients with MBO treated with palliative PTBD. In addition, the proposed 60-day survival score can contribute to better selection of future candidates for PTBD and recognition of high-risk patients with expected poor outcomes.

Abstract
Percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) is an effective procedure for correcting biliary obstructions. It can be performed under ultrasound and fluoroscopic equipment; however, it may entail serious complications, including bleeding, caused by arterial or venous injury. We present a 49-year-old man presented with a 1-month history of icterus, jaundice, dark urine, and right hypochondrial pain. MR imaging discovered a dilatation of the right intrahepatic bile duct due to obstruction by intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. PTBD procedure was performed in the right intrahepatic bile duct. After the pigtail drain device was inserted, the bile fluid color that came out from the pigtail turned sanguineous; nonetheless, the patient's hemodynamic was stable. Therefore, the second cholangiography was performed for evaluation. Some resistance was sensed during contrast injection into the bile duct, and the operator pushed the contrast media a little bit stronger and found a filling defect formed by a clot in the bile duct that suggested high suspicion of vessel injury. Although the patient's hemodynamics was still stable, the operator quickly decided to perform a hepatic arteriography procedure because bright red blood through the tube and a relatively rapid clot formed from the puncture point and distal drain, which were signs of hepatic artery injury. Hepatic arteriography confirmed the location of pseudoaneurysm caused by vessel trauma and arterio-intrahepatic bile duct fistulation. The embolization procedure was performed using PVA-300 into a ruptured hepatic artery branch through a microcatheter. Re-evaluation arteriography showed no pseudoaneurysm or arterio-intrahepatic bile duct fistulation after embolization.

AbstractEndoscopic ultrasound-guided biliary drainage (EUS-BD) has a potential risk of clinically significant adverse events including fatal complications. Learning from complications improves the results from interventional procedures especially the high-risk procedure like EUS-BD. The various complications that have been reported following EUS-BD include bile leak, bleeding, cholangitis, peritonitis, stent migration both internal and external as well as in the peritoneal cavity and fatal perforations. In this technical review, we discuss technical strategies to prevent serious adverse events during EUS-BD using a case based approach.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) has evolved in the last years making it not only a diagnostic modality but a therapeutic procedure. EUS is now used as an alternative technique to percutaneous and surgical drainage. Even though EUS is a challenging procedure and not always suitable compared to percutaneous drainage, there is a need for developing new therapeutic approaches to the liver for when percutaneous drainage is not feasible.
CASE SUMMARY We present the case of a 82 years old male who developed an infected subcapsular hepatic hematoma (SHH) of the left lobe following percutaneous biliary drainage. After 2 failed attempts of percutaneous drainage of the SHH and because the patients couldn’t withstand surgery, we conducted a EUS drainage and debridement of the SHH. Using a lumen apposing metal stent (LAMS) by a transgastric approach, we were able to gain endoscopic access to the SHH. With our experience in the debridement of walled off pancreatic necrosis using this technique, we were confident it was the right approach. After four debridement sessions, the computed tomography scan showed a clear regression of the SHH.
CONCLUSION To our knowledge, this is the first case of successful endoscopic debridement of a SHH using a LAMS which appear to be feasible and safe in this specific case.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/PURPOSE Bleeding is the most dreaded complication after percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD). Clarifying the risk factors of bleeding can reduce the morbidity and mortality rates of PTBD. However, the procedure-related risk factors for bleeding after PTBD are still controversial. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis were performed to identify procedure-related risk factors of bleeding after PTBD. METHODS PubMed, Cochrane database, and Google Scholar were searched for published studies until 1st May 2021. Inclusion criteria were: studies associated with bleeding complications after PTBD and with sufficient data to compare different procedure-related factors for bleeding. Sources of bias were assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale and Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomised trials. Probable procedure-related risk factors were evaluated and outcomes were expressed in the case of dichotomous variables, as an odds ratio (OR) (with a 95% confidence interval, (CI)). RESULTS Eleven studies were included in the meta-analysis. There was no significant difference in bleeding rates with respect to the side of PTBD (left/right, OR = 1.10, 95% CI: 0.68-1.76), the insertion level of bile duct (central/peripheral, OR = 1.39, 95% CI: 0.82-2.35), and the usage of ultrasound guidance (OR: 1.25, 95% CI: 0.60-2.60). A subgroup analysis revealed a left-sided approach that resulted in more hepatic arterial injuries than the right-sided approach (left/right, OR = 1.93, 95% CI: 1.32-2.83). CONCLUSION Left-sided approach is a risk factor for hepatic arterial injuries after PTBD.

Abstract
AbstractWe report the case of an elderly male, who was a known case of chronic liver parenchymal disease. He presented with a history of melena for 2 weeks and upper-GI endoscopy revealed fundal varices. He was planned for BRTO. Along with BRTO, a percutaneous trans-hepatic puncture of a branch of the right portal vein was also performed for proper embolization of the varices. The trans-hepatic puncture-tract was embolized after the procedure. However, after 24 hours of the procedure, the patient developed hypotension and abdominal distension due to hemorrhage from the portal puncture site. Portal-venography was performed via the trans-jugular-trans-hepatic route to confirm the source of hemorrhage and embolization of the culprit portal venous branch was performed via the same route. The patient was stable after the procedure.Various interventional procedures via the trans-jugular route have been routinely described in the literature, including trans-jugular liver biopsies, placement of TIPSS shunts and endovascular interventions for haemodialysis. However, the literature on trans-jugular embolization of portal vein is scarce. This case describes the unexpected clinical situation, in the form of bleeding from the portal puncture site, despite embolization of the trans-hepatic tract after BRTO. Finally, a creative solution was thought of and trans-jugular embolization of the portal vein was performed, which succeeded in terminating the ongoing bleeding from the portal vein.

Abstract
Percutaneous biliary interventions are among the commonly performed nonvascular radiological interventions. Most common of these interventions is the percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage for malignant biliary obstruction. Other biliary procedures performed include percutaneous cholecystostomy, biliary stenting, drainage for bile leaks, and various procedures like balloon dilatation, stenting, and large-bore catheter drainage for bilioenteric or post-transplant anastomotic strictures. Although these procedures are being performed for ages, no standard guidelines have been formulated. This article attempts at preparing guidelines for performing various percutaneous image-guided biliary procedures along with discussion on the published evidence in this field.

Abstract
Iatrogenic injury is unfortunately a leading cause of morbidity and mortality for patients worldwide. The etiology of iatrogenic injury is broad, and can be seen with both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. While steps can be taken to reduce the occurrence of iatrogenic injury, it is often not completely avoidable. Once iatrogenic injury has occurred, prompt recognition and appropriate management can help reduce further harm. The objective of this narrative review it to help reader better understand the risk factors associated with, and treatment options for a broad range of potential iatrogenic injuries by presenting a series of iatrogenic injury cases. This review also discusses rates, risk factors, as well as imaging and clinical signs of iatrogenic injury with an emphasis on endovascular and minimally invasive treatments. While iatrogenic vascular injury once required surgical intervention, now minimally invasive endovascular treatment is a potential option for certain patients. Further research is needed to help identify patients that are at the highest risk for iatrogenic injury, allowing patients and providers to reconsider or avoid interventions where the risk of iatrogenic injury may outweigh the benefit. Further research is also needed to better define outcomes for patients with iatrogenic vascular injury treated with minimally invasive endovascular techniques verses conservative management or surgical intervention.

Abstract
Purpose The aim of this study was to assess the rate of complications of percutaneous transhepatic biliary drain in transplanted versus native livers.
Materials and Methods A retrospective chart review was performed of all percutaneous transhepatic biliary drains completed at our institution from 2009 to 2018. Chart review of complications and interventions was recorded. Chi-squared and Fisher’s exact tests were used to compare percutaneous transhepatic biliary drains performed in patients with liver transplants (n = 62) to those with native livers (n = 285).
Results There was a statistically significant difference in the frequency of complications of percutaneous transhepatic biliary drains in patients with liver transplants (61%) compared with those with native livers (13%), χ2(1) = 9.59, p<0.01. There was a statistically significant increased frequency of worsening liver function, sepsis, bile leak, arterial and portal venous bleeds, and secondary complications in those with liver transplants. The median number of days until the complication occurred for those with liver transplants was nearly three times longer than those with native livers. The most common subsequent intervention for patients with liver transplants was placement of a new drain (53%), whereas those with native livers was drain upsize (70%).
Conclusion Complications including vascular injury, sepsis, bile leak, and worsening liver function after percutaneous transhepatic biliary drains occurred more commonly in patients with liver transplants versus native livers.

Abstract
Hemobilia, or hemorrhage within the biliary system, is an uncommon form of upper gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding that presents unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Most cases are the result of iatrogenic trauma, although accidental trauma and a variety of inflammatory, infectious, and neoplastic processes have also been implicated. Timely diagnosis can often be difficult, as the classic triad of upper GI hemorrhage, biliary colic, and jaundice is present in a minority of cases, and there may be considerable delay in the onset of bleeding after the initial injury. Therefore, the radiologist must maintain a high index of suspicion for this condition and be attuned to its imaging characteristics across a variety of modalities. CT is the first-line diagnostic modality in evaluation of hemobilia, while catheter angiography and endoscopy play vital and complementary roles in both diagnosis and treatment. The authors review the clinical manifestations and multimodality imaging features of hemobilia, describe the wide variety of underlying causes, and highlight key management considerations.©RSNA, 2021.

Hemorrhagic complications are uncommon after percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage. The presenting features include bleeding through or around the drainage catheter, hematemesis or melena. Diagnosis requires cholangiography, CT angiography or conventional angiography. Minor venous hemorrhage is managed by catheter repositioning, clamping or upgrading to a larger bore catheter. Major vascular injuries require percutaneous or endovascular procedures like embolization or stenting. A complete knowledge of these complications will direct the interventional radiologist to take adequate precautions to reduce their incidence and necessary steps in their management. This review presents and discusses various hemorrhagic complications occurring after percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage along with their treatment options and suggests a detailed algorithm.

Abstract
Biliary obstruction is a serious clinical condition resulting from either benign or malignant etiologies. For malignant obstruction, curative resection is rarely performed due to disease progression, thus decompression drainage is the management of choice. Percutaneous transhepatic drainage and stenting are effective alternative treatments to surgical bypass and endoscopic biliary drainage when these two modalities are contraindicated. Percutaneous biliary intervention is safe and effective in both drainage and restoration of bile flow with high successful rate and acceptable risk of complication. Multidisciplinary approach, proper patient selection, careful image review and comprehensive knowledge of available techniques, success rates and complications are utmost importance for a successful procedure.

Abstract
Perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (PHC) is a rare tumor that requires surgical resection for a potential cure. The role of preoperative biliary drainage has long been debated, given its treatment of biliary sepsis and decompression of the future liver remnant (FLR), but high procedure-specific morbidity. The indications, methods, and outcomes for preoperative biliary drainage are discussed to serve as a guide for perioperative management of patients with resectable PHC. Multiple studies from the literature related to perihilar cholangiocarcinoma, biliary drainage, and management of the FLR were reviewed. Commonly employed preoperative biliary drainage includes endoscopic biliary stenting and percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage. Drainage of the FLR remains controversial, with most experts recommending drainage of the only in patients with an FLR <50%. Biliary drainage for resectable PHC requires a patient-specific approach with careful determination of the FLR and balancing of potential morbidity with the benefits of drainage.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Patients treated with direct Xa inhibitors may require urgent surgery. Administration of prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) in this setting is common; however, it is based on limited experience in healthy volunteers. OBJECTIVE To characterize the population receiving PCC for apixaban/rivaroxaban reversal prior to an urgent surgery and evaluate its efficacy and safety. METHODS This was a retrospective study in 2 tertiary hospitals. Bleeding was evaluated based on surgical reports, hemoglobin drop, and the use of blood products or additional PCC during 48 h. Safety measures were thrombotic complications and 30-day mortality. RESULTS Sixty-two patients aged 80.7 ± 9 years, treated with apixaban (39.63%) or rivaroxaban (23.37%), received PCC before an urgent surgery/procedure. Most underwent abdominal operation (61%), orthopedic surgery (13%), or transhepatic cholecystostomy insertion (10%). Bleeding during surgery was reported in 3 patients (5%), no patient required additional PCC, and 16 patients (26%) received packed cells (median: 1 unit, range: 1-5). The 30-day mortality and thrombosis rates were 21% (n = 13) and 3% (n = 2), respectively. The cause of death was related to the primary disease, most commonly sepsis. No patient died due to bleeding/thrombosis. CONCLUSIONS Our results support the use of PCC to achieve hemostasis in patients treated with Xa inhibitors prior to an urgent surgery.

Abstract
CLINICAL ISSUE Percutaneous transhepatic biliary and gall bladder interventions play an important role in the diagnosis and therapy of biliary tract diseases. PERFORMANCE With technical success rates up to 99% as well as complications rates up to a maximum of 26% they showed good results. Indications were opacification of the biliary tree as well as treatment of biliary system pathologies, such as drainage and stents. ACHIEVEMENTS Interventions were used if endoscopic approaches are not possible or exploited. We describe the current state of knowledge and the range for percutaneous biliary/gall bladder interventions and give an overview of technical approaches for fundamental interventional procedures, including percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage. PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS Percutaneous transhepatic biliary and gall bladder interventions are safe and effective treatments for benign and malignant stenosis, postoperative complications and risk patients with cholecystitis.

Abstract
Hemobilia refers to bleeding from and/or into the biliary tract and is an uncommon cause of gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Hemobilia has been documented since the 1600s, but due to its relative rarity, it has only been more critically examined in recent decades. Most cases of hemobilia are iatrogenic and caused by procedures involving the liver, pancreas, bile ducts, and/or the hepatopancreatobiliary vasculature, with trauma and malignancy representing the two other major causes. A classic triad of right upper quadrant pain, jaundice, and overt upper gastrointestinal bleeding has been described, but this is present in only 25-30% of patients with hemobilia. Historically, the gold standard for diagnosis and treatment has been angiography and interventional radiologic intervention, respectively. However, the paradigm is shifting, at least in select cases, towards first-line reliance on noninvasive imaging (e.g., computed tomography) and therapeutic endoscopy, owing to advances in and the less invasive nature of both, while saving interventional radiological and/or surgical intervention for refractory or imminently life-threatening cases.
