Blockchain Technology for Secure Accounting Management: Research Trends Analysis

Evolution of blockchain accounting literature from the perspective of CiteSpace (2013-2023)

Against the backdrop of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, the advantages of blockchain technology in traceability, transparency, safety improvement, and efficiency improvement have made it possible to reduce the work of accounting personnel by 50 %, thus saving billions of dollars for global companies by combining this technology with accounting. However, the blockchain technology associated with accounting is in the experimental stage and has several problems to be solved including limited data processing capacity, information confidentiality, and regulatory difficulties. This innovation and progress in science and technology has provided more abundant, efficient, and professional technical support for the research of blockchain accounting documents. Among these advances, CiteSpace software has promoted the development of blockchain and accounting in the direction of visualization, comprehensiveness, security, and relevance. In this study, we used the knowledge map drawn by CiteSpace to search the core Blockchain Accounting database from 2013 to 2023 on the Web of Science (WoS). We obtained 1414 documents measured according to co-citation analysis, log-likelihood ratio (LLR) network clustering, co-occurrence keywords, and emergent time zone diagram method. We analyzed and summarized the important documents, research keywords, key research fields, and knowledge evolution related to "blockchain accounting" by network, literature integration, and popular research topics. We found that adopting blockchain technology in accounting information systems is expected to improve recordkeeping and reporting. Blockchain, as an innovative technology, provides a tamper-proof, traceable, and shareable platform for accounting information by using a distributed ledger system. By implementing blockchain, artificial intelligence can improve safety, transparency, and accuracy, and also may completely change the way we manage financial records. With its ability to improve overall efficiency and reduce errors, blockchain technology may change our familiar accounting methods. In addition, blockchain technology, intelligent contract, artificial intelligence, the Internet, information systems, and supply chain are the most important keywords, while blockchain technology, intelligent contract, and artificial intelligence are important components of blockchain accounting knowledge system. This research provided an important opportunity to advance the understanding of the crucial contribution of blockchain to the accounting field.

Fuzzy optimisation for business analytics: A bibliometric analysis

Business analytics refers to the application of sophisticated tools to obtain valuable information from a large dataset that is generated by a company. Among these tools, fuzzy optimisation stands out because it helps decision-makers to solve optimisation problems considering the uncertainty that commonly occurs in application domains. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis following the PRISMA statement on the Dimensions database to obtain publications related to fuzzy optimisation applied to business domains. The purpose of this analysis is to gather useful information that can help researchers in this area. A total of 2,983 publications were analysed using VOSviewer to identify the trend in the number of publications per year, relationships in terms in both the title and abstract of these publications, most influential publications, and relationships among journals, authors, and institutions.

Analytical Study of Financial Accounting and Management Trends Based on the Internet Era

With the development of Internet technology and computer technology, the network has provided convenience to enterprises while putting forward new requirements for the development of the accounting industry. The combination of traditional financial accounting methods and computerized information technology enables accurate and rapid transmission of financial data. At the same time, the application of network technology optimizes the financial accounting process of enterprises and greatly improves the efficiency of accounting work and accountants can devote more time and energy to the analysis of enterprise financial information. However, with the application of Internet technology, the change in financial accounting has also generated new problems. The article focuses on the topic of financial accounting; first, it briefly introduces the development history of financial accounting and the Internet; second, it discusses the changes in accounting work mode and its characteristics under the network environment and analyzes the advantages and problems of combining network technology and financial accounting; and finally, it puts forward the countermeasures to solve the "Internet+" era financial accounting work for the current situation. Finally, the countermeasures to solve the financial accounting work in the era of "Internet+" are proposed to improve the professional ability of financial personnel.

Cumulative prospect theory integrated CRITIC and TOPSIS methods for intuitionistic fuzzy multiple attribute group decision making

The purpose of this paper is to provide an efficient multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) method to better serve the decision-makers(DMs), considering the real psychological state and preferences of the DMs when facing different risks. In real life, MAGDM is a very complex and uncertain problem, which needs to be considered from many aspects. In view of this, the intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS method on the basis of cumulative prospect theory (IF-CPT-TOPSIS) is proposed in this paper, which can effectively solve the above problems, cater to the expectations of DMs, and make the decision results more objective and more reliable. The originality of this paper comes from three aspects. First, the new score function is combined with CRITIC method to calculate the weight of attributes, which eliminates the influence of Subjective preference of DMs and makes the primary information more reasonable. Furthermore, the use of the new score function can effectively avoid the exception conditions in the IFS problems. Secondly, applying the distance measurement formula of IFSs to determine the degree of approaching the ideal solution, so that the decision model can reflect the environmental changes more quickly. Thirdly, calculate the relative profit loss ratio of each scheme. Hence, each scheme is ranked and the optimal one is selected. Finally, in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the model, a specific example is given and comparative analysis with the existing methods. The results show that the improved IF-CPT-TOPSIS method is useful and can be widely adapted for complex MAGDM problems.

Blockchain and Double Auction-Based Trustful EVs Energy Trading Scheme for Optimum Pricing

Electric vehicles (EVs) have gained prominence in smart transportation due to their unparalleled benefits of reduced carbon footprints, improved performance, and intelligent energy trading mechanisms. These potential benefits have increased EV adoption at massive scales, but energy management in EVs is a critical study problem. The problem is further intensified due to the scarcity of charging stations (CSs) in near EV proximity. Moreover, as energy transactions occur over open channels, it presents critical security, privacy, and trust issues among decentralized channels. To address the open limitations of trusted energy management and optimize the pricing control among EV entities (i.e., prosumers and consumers), the paper proposes a scheme that integrates blockchain and a truthful double auction strategy for trustful EV trading. To address the transaction scalability, we integrate an Interplanetary File System (IPFS) with a double auction mechanism handled through the Remix Smart Contract environment. The double auction leverages an optimal payoff condition between peer EVs. To address the communication latency, we present the scheme at the backdrop of Fifth Generation (5G) networks that minimizes the optimal payoff response time. The scheme is simulated against parameters such as convergence, profit for consumers, computation time, and blockchain analysis regarding node commit latency, collusion attacks, and EV energy consumption. The results indicate the scheme’s viability against traditional (non-blockchain) approaches with high reliability, scalability, and improved cost-efficiency.

Examining the Research on Business Information-Entropy Correlation in the Accounting Process of Organizations

Open business organizations, where information flows, is shared, and exchanged, are more prepared to adapt and survive chaos, uncertainty, and entropy, so they will be more predisposed to change management. The aim of this study is to analyze research trends at the international level on business information-entropy correlation in the accounting process of organizations. Mathematical and statistical techniques were applied to 980 articles during the period 1974-2020, obtaining results on the scientific productivity of the driving agents of this topic: authors, research institutions, countries/territories, and journals. Five lines of research were identified during the period analyzed, which mainly study information theory, maximum entropy, information entropy, decision-making, and enthalpy. Future research should focus on analyzing the evolution of this topic, which forms new thematic axes related to bitcoin market efficiency, business hierarchy information, business model evaluation systems, catastrophic economic collapse, corporate diversification, CSR reports affecting accounting conservatism, economic income accounting, and information loss. Currently, the research presents an upward trend, which allows a growing interest in the subject to be deduced in the academic and scientific community worldwide.
