Recognition System Using Fusion Normalization Based on Morphological Features of Post-Exercise ECG for Intelligent Biometrics

Bio-metric authentication with electrocardiogram (ECG) by considering variable signals

The use of conventional bio-signals such as an electrocardiogram (ECG) for biometric authentication is vulnerable to a lack of verification of continuity of signals; this is because the system does not consider the change in signals caused by a change in the situation of a person, that is, conventional biological signals. Prediction technology based on tracking and analyzing new signals can overcome this shortcoming. However, since the biological signal data sets are massive, their utilization is crucial for higher accuracy. In this study, we defined a 10 × 10 matrix for 100 points based on the R-peak point and an array for the dimension of the signals. Furthermore, we defined the future predicted signals by analyzing the continuous points in each array of the matrices at the same point. As a result, the accuracy of user authentication was 91%.

The Wearable Lower Limb Rehabilitation Exoskeleton Kinematic Analysis and Simulation

In recent years, due to the increase in the incidence of traffic accidents, the number of people with limb injuries has also increased. At the same time, among the aging population, neurological diseases or cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases have caused many people to have limb hemiplegia. It has been clinically proven that the use of rehabilitation equipment can help patients with limb injuries to restore limb motor function. This paper takes wearable lower limb rehabilitation exoskeleton as the research object, and its main contents are mechanical structure design, kinematics analysis, gait planning, virtual prototype simulation, and experimental verification and analysis. Based on the physiological characteristics of human body and the principle of comfortable and reliable wearing, this paper designs wearable exoskeleton for lower limb rehabilitation. Firstly, the physiological structure characteristics and movement mechanism of human lower limbs were studied and analyzed. By referring to the rotation range and height and size of each joint of human lower limbs, the overall scheme of wearable lower limb rehabilitation exoskeleton was designed and the degree of freedom was allocated. At the same time, Solidworks was used to establish a three-dimensional model. On the basis of a 3D model, a kinematics model was established, and the forward kinematics solution was obtained by using homogeneous coordinate transformation. Since the inverse kinematics solution was relatively complicated, the inverse kinematics solution was conducted in this paper according to the geometric relations of the joints of the lower limbs. Kinematics analysis of the exoskeleton structure of wearable lower limb rehabilitation was carried out to lay a theoretical foundation for gait planning. The off-line gait planning was carried out by using the method based on ZMP stability criterion, and the gait planning was divided into five stages: squat, start, middle step, stop and rise, and the motion trajectory of the center of mass and ankle joint was planned. Based on the inverse kinematics formula, the function of the change of joint angle with time in walking process is derived. The virtual prototype is established in ADAMS, and the simulation of virtual prototype is carried out by using the function of gait planning’s joint angle and time. The correctness of structural design and gait planning was verified by measuring the trajectories of the centroid and ankle joints in each gait stage and the functional relationship between the rotation angle of each joint and time. Then, using a 3D dynamic capture system to capture the human lower limb motion trajectory of each joint, each joint trajectory data output, using the MATLAB software to output data, gets the joint trajectory change over time function curve and is used to verify feasibility and applicability of human gait planning. Through the research and analysis of the joints of the lower limbs of the human body, it can be concluded that the hip joint and the knee joint have 3 degrees of freedom, respectively, and the knee joint has 1 degree of freedom.

Application of Biomechanics Based on Intelligent Technology and Big Data in Physical Fitness Training of Athletes

Physical training has a high degree of participation all over the world. With the opening of the era of national fitness, physical training has become more popular from the original specialization, and the complex training methods and contents have gradually become simplified. The development and change of physical training has also brought many problems to the professional training of athletes, such as high training intensity but poor effect, insufficient training posture, and long-term physical injury. In order to help athletes achieve better results in physical training and reduce the probability of injury, taking sprint training as an example, this article adopted the sports and body data of elite athletes through intelligent technology and big data analysis, established a human motion model from the perspective of biomechanics, and then conducted a corresponding test run experiment for athletes. The experimental results suggested that drag resistance running could improve the specific strength quality of sprinting. At the same time, when using resistance load for training, the maximum speed should not exceed 90% of the maximum speed without resistance. The average horizontal maximum velocity decreased by approximately 9% when training under a resistance load, and the best training results were obtained by training athletes within this range.

The Protective Effect of Interval Exercise on Myocardial Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Players

In recent years, the popularity of sports has been increasing. In the high-intensity competition, many players have been injured; most of them are myocardial ischemia. With the development of medical science and technology, myocardial ischemia can be reperfusion. However, sometimes, the function of tissues and organs cannot be restored, but the dysfunction and structural damage of tissues and organs can be aggravated. Therefore, it is necessary to actively carry out intermittent exercise to protect players from myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. The purpose of this paper is to explore the protective effect of intermittent exercise on the myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury of players. 60 clean male Sprague Dawley (SD) old rats were selected as the research objects, which were divided into control group, ischemia/reperfusion model group, intermittent exercise + model group, and intermittent exercise + control group, and compared the parameters of heart function indexes of each group. The results showed that the creatine kinase (CK) content of control group was 0.577 ± 0.176 u/ml, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) content was 7.834 ± 1.507 u/ml, model group was 1.257 ± 0.113 u/ml, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) content was 14.441 ± 1.793 u/ml, intermittent exercise + model group was 0.987 ± 0.127 u/ml, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) content was 11.714 ± 3.017 u/ml, intermittent exercise + control group was 1.103 ± 0.125 u/ml, and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) content was 14.647 ± 2.575 u/ml. It can be seen that intermittent exercise has a good protective effect on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. If the interval exercise method is integrated into the daily training of athletes, it can effectively improve the perfusion injury caused by myocardial ischemia.

A Retrospective Evaluation of Serological Results of Cystic Echinococcosis Suspected Cases Admitted to Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital Between 2013-2020

OBJECTIVE

Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is prevalent, especially in animals in Turkey and stands as a significant zoonose. In this study, we aimed to retrospectively evaluate the indirect hemagglutination (IHA) tests results performed on samples of CE suspected patients in microbiology laboratory of our hospital.

METHODS

One thousand six hundred-seven files of patients admitted to hospital between January 2013 and December 2020 were examined for the presence of anti-E. granulosus immunoglobulin G antibodies. The patient's socio-demographic characteristics and radiological data were obtained from the hospital automatization system.

RESULTS

A total of 1.607 file records; 644 (40.1%) males and 963 (59.9%) females, aged between 1-96 years (average 45.26±19.91) were examined. It was found that 244 (15.18%) of the patients were positive, 78 (4.86%) were determined at an intermediary value and 1.285 (79.96%) were negative. According to the IHA method a titer of 1/320 and above were evaluated as positive. Compared to anti-E. granulosus IgG antibody titers 164 radiological data; while 28.6% of 21 patients who are evaluated as negative (1/80) and 46.2% of 78 patients who were evaluated as intermediary titer (1/160) had cystic lesion in the radiological findings.

CONCLUSION

Based on the data, it is suggested that while interpreting the patient's serum antibody titers, patient's clinical and radiological findings should also be taken into account. If possible, it should be used along with another serological method like ELISA to assist CE patient's diagnosis and treatment.

Influence of Health Education Based on IMB on Prognosis and Self-Management Behavior of Patients with Chronic Heart Failure

As the contemporary society is increasingly entering an aging society, heart failure, as a common disease in the elderly population, has an increasing impact on people. The common one is mainly chronic heart failure. Coupled with the influence of various complications, such as hypostatic pneumonia and venous thrombosis, the mortality and hospital admission rates of patients are very high. Moreover, the current technology is not very effective for the prevention and treatment of chronic heart failure. The per capita consumption level of ordinary people in China is low, and it is not suitable to promote high-cost treatment programs. Based on this, this paper proposes the intervention management of mental failure patients under the intervention of health education based on IMB, in order to explore the impact of the intervention of health education on patients. The research in this paper selected 112 patients with chronic heart failure who were admitted to the cardiovascular ward of a city public hospital in 2017 and divided the patients into two groups. One group received health education intervention, which was the intervention group. The other group was the control group. The control group was given routine education and nursing. The experimental results of this paper show that the satisfaction of the intervention group is higher, accounting for 85.3%, and the satisfaction of the control group is lower than that of the intervention group, about 67.9%. Dissatisfaction with health education and the probability of short-term readmission were higher than those in the intervention group.

The Identification of ECG Signals Using WT-UKF and IPSO-SVM

The biometric identification method is a current research hotspot in the pattern recognition field. Due to the advantages of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals, which are difficult to replicate and easy to obtain, ECG-based identity identification has become a new direction in biometric recognition research. In order to improve the accuracy of ECG signal identification, this paper proposes an ECG identification method based on a multi-scale wavelet transform combined with the unscented Kalman filter (WT-UKF) algorithm and the improved particle swarm optimization-support vector machine (IPSO-SVM). First, the WT-UKF algorithm can effectively eliminate the noise components and preserve the characteristics of ECG signals when denoising the ECG data. Then, the wavelet positioning method is used to detect the feature points of the denoised signals, and the obtained feature points are combined with multiple feature vectors to characterize the ECG signals, thus reducing the data dimension in identity identification. Finally, SVM is used for ECG signal identification, and the improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO) algorithm is used for parameter optimization in SVM. According to the analysis of simulation experiments, compared with the traditional WT denoising, the WT-UKF method proposed in this paper improves the accuracy of feature point detection and increases the final recognition rate by 1.5%. The highest recognition accuracy of a single individual in the entire ECG identification system achieves 100%, and the average recognition accuracy can reach 95.17%.

ECG Authentication Based on Non-Linear Normalization under Various Physiological Conditions

The development and use of wearable devices require high levels of security and have sparked interest in biometric authentication research. Among the available approaches, electrocardiogram (ECG) technology is attracting attention because of its strengths in spoofing. However, morphological changes of ECG, which are affected by physical and psychological factors, can make authentication difficult. In this paper, we propose authentication using non-linear normalization of ECG beats that is robust to changes in ECG waveforms according to heart rate fluctuations in various daily activities. We performed a non-linear normalization method through the analysis of ECG alongside heart rate, evaluating similarities and authenticating the performance of our new method compared to existing methods. Compared with beats before normalization, the average similarity of the proposed method increased 23.7% in the resting state and 43% in the non-resting state. After learning in the resting state, authentication performance reached 99.05% accuracy for the resting state and 88.14% for the non-resting state. The proposed method can be applicable to an ECG-based authentication system under various physiological conditions.

Novel Stable Capacitive Electrocardiogram Measurement System

This study presents a noncontact electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement system to replace conventional ECG electrode pads during ECG measurement. The proposed noncontact electrode design comprises a surface guard ring, the optimal input resistance, a ground guard ring, and an optimal voltage divider feedback. The surface and ground guard rings are used to reduce environmental noise. The optimal input resistor mitigates distortion caused by the input bias current, and the optimal voltage divider feedback increases the gain. Simulated gain analysis was subsequently performed to determine the most suitable parameters for the design, and the system was combined with a capacitive driven right leg circuit to reduce common-mode interference. The present study simulated actual environments in which interference is present in capacitive ECG signal measurement. Both in the case of environmental interference and motion artifact interference, relative to capacitive ECG electrodes, the proposed electrodes measured ECG signals with greater stability. In terms of R-R intervals, the measured ECG signals exhibited a 98.6% similarity to ECGs measured using contact ECG systems. The proposed noncontact ECG measurement system based on capacitive sensing is applicable for use in everyday life.
